just had a call from this number and somebody was on the line and spoke to me,its British Gas homecare plan

I nearly had a B accident trying to answer the phone from the above - and as usual they put the phone down ! did a 1471   surprise, surprise, BRITISH GAS, i have just sent them an email stating that if they keep HARRASSING ME i shall exit from their COMPANY ! which shall be rather embarrassing as i have just joined them , and further more shall be contacting the Papers - plus Local and National Radio Companies  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

This is genuine call from British/Scottish gas.
I was waiting for boiler service on 27 July and nobody arrived a.m.
I called Scottish Gas and they said engineer tried calling me at 12.03 to confirm if someone at house.
I never heard house phone but dialled 1471 and hey presto above number.

Had two calls off them today about 17.45 asking if we would like to take out Ins.on kitchen Appliances, when i told him we allready had cover he challenged it, so when I said weare covered because we have an engineer coming back this week to repair washing machine he again challenged it.

This number has been calling me everyday more than once since the middle of June - I never answer it and have no idea who it is!!!!!!

I have had a call every day this week from 08009806166.  I know for a fact that this is British Gas as I have answered them before and they have begged and pleaded with me to bring my custom back to them.  I have both my gas and electricity with another supplier now and no way would I ever consider going back to British Gas after this continuous intrusion.  I care for a daughter who has cancer and these calls are becoming very distressing to both of us.  One caller, a man, was extremely rude and offensive when I said I was not coming back.  What is the answer to these troublesome calls?

Brittish gas this is a total pain in the a*** told them that if they phone me again i will change provider.

They don`t give up!!!! I`ve had plenty of calls.When i payed my bill i told them about this problem & that i`ve never gave them permission to contact.They asked me if i wanted to OPT OUT ? I never opted in !!! The day i OPTED OUT!!! I received a call in the afternoon!!!!!!!!!

i just recieved a call from this number and when i answered they just hung up

I'm in the process of buying a CPR call blocker. If it does half of what is says on the tin, these calls are 'yesterday'
Tip. If you  buy one, phone the company (CPR) direct, you'll get a much better price than that quoted on the internet

It's British Gas but if you call one of their customer service numbers ie 0800 0728632 and ask to opt out of their marketing they will remove you from their list for telephone, post, and or email - simple!

We had a call from this number today, suggesting that as a valued customer I would receive an award. After several minutes trying to find out what was going on I asked the young (?) lady what colour underwear she was wearing today, phone was replaced very smartly!! Surely Britsh gas can do better than this with its customers.

Keep getting calls from 08009806166 which I now believe to be British Gas. They phone several times a week and just hang up when we answer. Very annoying - thought somebody was checking the house with a view to breaking in!

Unsolicited call told me that they were calling from something unintelligible and they were sorry they could not allocate an adviser to this call. I was not to take any action. I put the 'phone down, left it for a few seconds and when I picked it up again they were still talking and leaving a 'phone no.

Another phone call I answered and there was nobody there.

I don't think This will stop the British gas one. As it said our number was already registered.
They called a few times always the same thing just silence. First time I had thought to check up on it. On this site glad I did at lease now I know what it is.
