Not even with british gas so if its them I've no idea how they got my number. If I ever make it to the phone before they hang up I will be informing them its a housing association property maintenence is not my job! That usually stops this sort of call

I got a call from this number this morning and it was an american accent saying "sorry the service is unavailable". wtf?!?!

Yes this is  British Gas, Ihave just had  an annual boiler service from them, I have answered the call, they  still call every day.. It is possible you may agree to a replacement boiler so they keep calling.I had a problem with Britsh Gas and unsolicited phone calls last year, I complained in the end, I even got compensation and they removed all data from their computers that was mine. Just do it people complain  British Gas soon draw their horns in if you complain.

This is British Gas we  had the  central  heating boiler serviced a few weeks ago.  This number keeps calling they think they might be able to con you into installing a new boiler.  You need to call them and just say we are going through the right channels to report you you may get fined, we did this 2 years ago they soon draw their horns in. We even got compensation ,and out data  wiped off their computers. So you guys out there just do it !!!

Two calls from this no. before 9-00am., within 2 mins.
Phone didn't ring, must have hung up immediately after dialling.
A number of other calls from this no. over the last few days - all missed.

4 missed calls on this number yesterday (I was out). Called British Gas and they know nothing of this.

Have rang me 3 times this week at home whilst I've been at work. I left them numerous years ago due to the marketing calls they made. Was with them for gas, electricity, boiler & homecare agreement. Not with them for any of this nowadays due to them doing this, I believe marketing should be illegal. Not answered the calls - aware it's them as number is saved on my home phone as BG Pests & blocked on my iPhone.

British Gas regarding smart meter install

Been digging on this one as I've been getting these calls on and off for 6 years! British Gas has a 3rd party call centre supplier called Parseq who makes outbound callers about old boilers. Just tried to get on to their website but it bounced me. So start calling Parseq - maybe if they get enough inbound calls they'll stop outbound calling!

I know this is British Gas, why they are calling me I  do not know.I had a letter from them after I complained about a junk call, they said they had deleted all my E mail addresses and my phone numbers.  I will have to contact them again.

British Gas came and repaired my boiler yesterday morning (on Christmas Eve - they saved our Christmas:) ) I’m wondering if this is a follow-up call? But really, on Christmas Day???!!!

Missed call at 0815 today - it will probably be BG trying to upsell my present contract but what they don't know is I have secured a local boiler/heating engineer with a servie contract at hust over half the price. BG were looking for £311 and the one I am looking at is £180. They will get  chnce to counter that but only if they can match or exceed the offer.

British Gas boiler appointment confirmation

Was looking for a new boiler plan on line and had to leave my number to be able to get a quote within 10 mins the land line started ringing :(

Got a quote online for boiler cover but had to enter my phone number.  Don't see why they need a phone number for a quote.  if i'm interested in taking up their offer I will contact them!

serveral calls but they must have hung up before our landline rung; coincidentally a gas service was due this morning by british gas (which they failed to arrive nor did they have the courtesy to inform me)

I was just rung from this number, (on a Sunday afternoon) while I was at work, by someone claiming to be from British Gas wanting to confirm my address prior to my scheduled service (which is already booked). I refused to give them any info as I explained they could be anyone claiming to be British Gas and they must know my address as they send bills there!. She then gave me the first part of my postcode and asked me for the rest. I refused and said she could still be anyone and I was unhappy regarding their data protection. At that point she hung up! Even if that was British Gas that is a very poor way to deal with their customers.

Silent call whilst British Gas engineer servicing boiler.  Discovered to be a call from British Gas.  Was this because I had called at 4:30pm to check that a visit (12noon to 6pm time frame) was still on, having been booked several weeks ago?  Not good customer relations to make silent calls!
