British Gas services - not an urgent call

british gas who we are with for the boiler.we have told them thats all we want.but they call.best way to stop it is to write to them, head the letter "warning". and say we gave our number for contact only to do with thye boiler and nothing else, if you do call again for anything orther than that we will leave the contract...not had a call since. it worked

Silent call from this number at  0906 hrs this morning.

We received call on mobile which they have as contact for when boiler has needed repair - have told them many times that do not want extra cover for electrics etc.. etc..
Will send letter as suggested - see what happens. Thanks

Called this morning, asked about boiler and gas, told them I'm not the homeowner and an intruder! Asked them to make it quick as the laptop I was stealing was connected to the landline cable and I was in a rush.       Caller hung up ;-) -

I got a call from them at 2115 hours. We are both in our late 70,s. My missus goes to bed at about 2000hrs. I now know who was calling, and will sort that out later.I have just read you post, and it has given me the best laugh that I have had for a few weeks. Sorry if I have woke you up off that night-shift.Thanks for that.

This is British Gas again for the umpteenth time. Best thing to do is to leave BG completely, - I only have service contract with them, because if you are a customer they are allowed to harrass you. Leave the company and they will be bound to adhere to your privacy requirements.

Much easier to issue them with a Notice under Section 11 of the Data Protection Act, 1998.     Details are on the Information Commissioner's site.         It legally prohibits any Company, even one you have dealings with, from using your personal information for Sales or Marketing purposes.

received silent call from this number today at 10.23am

I have received some calls to my mobile from this number and it very much looks like I have been charged for the call (the balance appears on my phone as it does when I have made a call out). Am I paying them to call me?

This firm has the cheek to call me on my MOBILE at all times day and evening. The last call was at 19.15 on Friday! I don't answer the call when I see the number but perhaps I should answer it and tell them to ........! There should be laws against this intrusion / nuisance!!!!!

Called me today while I was trying to have lunch in peace so I ignored it.  Left no message.

Have recd 4 calls from this number in last two weeks. When answer get silence and then cut-off. Leaves no message if not answered.

British gas rang my mobile, nobody has my mobile number as i have only ever give it to friends and family, very annoyed, told them i live in a tent & don't require my boiler fixing at this time. Thank you good night.

08009806166 called me at10.46 this morning and theyhung up without answering. I rang em back and an recoded voice said it was  british gas but not an urgent call.  Are thy ringing just to see if we are in so they can sell the information to some telesales pest?

called me at 1220 GMT, what a bloody nuisance. "they want to speak to the home owner". i just said a few words and then hung up. do not call me again, I will always hang up to your calls.
