Did a quote with British Gas online, after I did it I got a call

Thanks everyone for advising that the caller is British Gas.
In my case it's possible that they were trying to contact me re two appointments I have with them, otherwise if this number is only used by them for making sales calls, I would just block the number.
Once again whocallsme.com and everyone who uses this excellent service, have come to my rescue, so many thanks to you all.

Got a call from this number within an hour of looking for an online quote from British Gas for Homecare. They insist on your telephone number or won't quote. There is no option to tick or untick marketing. I didn't buy their product and this telemarketing call has further fuelled my dislike of British Gas.

This was British Gas calling for me, my wife took the call. The caller promised to call back in 2 hours time. I waited for the call, but British Gas DID NOT call me back. Calls are important to me but obviously NOT important for British Gas

I think this IS British Gas.  But I have call blocker on phone.  Now only get wanted callers.

Call received from 0800 980 6166, didn't pick up, we are with british gas but I am not interested in anything they are selling. Now added to auto reject list!

not necessarily "selling", they've just called to advise engineer delayed on another job, giving me revised time of service visit, later today. at least I'm not sitting around wondering where they've got to.

We have a homeserve contract with them and we had our boiler repaired yesterday.  I reckon this is the usual follow up survey.

no message was left and I regard this as a nuisance call

This number belongs to British Gas Services, they use the 'phone number given for the service engineer to use before visiting to then pester you. In my case it is to try and sell me a new boiler. They know I did not consent to receive these calls and have promised not to make them, but it has started again.
Report them to Ofcom

They keep ringing

Three calls today from British Gas Services despite my 'phone number only given for the Service Engineer to use and assurances the number has been removed from the diallers they use.

British Gas seem incapable of stopping these calls, report them to Ofcom

Please do not phone me, I do not want any boiler and are being harrassed by you.  If you persist, I shall change my number and will make it unlisted.  I have had four calls from you today.

Was British Gas telling me that the engineer due Monday was in the area and could fix the bolier today (Wednesday) which was great.  He arrived 10mins later all sorted
