Had several missed calls from this number of the last month, only rings twice so not enough time to get mobile out of handbag.  Really annoying.

I wish British Gas stop calling me every night, I have call them back but no one to talk to

This number keeps ringing, but I don't answer as deaf.  If it is British gas services why don't they leave a message and my husband will call them back as I assume it means our gas service is due.

have a whistle ready when they call and blow down the phone...thats what i do to any sellers like this..amazing how many never call back...

I've just received a call from this number and the caller said he was phoning from BT and wanted to speak to the account holder. WTF?

British gas home care,they keep ringing to upgrade my cover.

They have rang me twice today. Answered and they told me I had an old boiler............my wife isn't that bad is she? Seriously I told them they need to update their records as I had a new one fitted just under 3 years ago and the engineer serviced it last month as part of my contract?

This is getting so annoying,i am tps registered and the nearest gas supply is 4 miles away, yesterday i asked them how they were getting round the tps and they said i had consented when opening my gas account - WHAT FRICKIN GAS ACCOUNT the nearest supply is 4 miles away, are they willing to sell me kerosene i think not. Pure pests!!!!!!!!!!!

got an irish bloke, said to me "as your an important customer blah blah blah", "cover for this blah blah blah", then asks my name? DUH!!!! so then he wants bank details, told the idiot to send me the documents, probably won't hear from paddy again!!!!

And I bet they didn't do the right thing and inform the authorities.

If your place was being burgled, wouldn't you find it comforting that your service supplier knew of, yet failed to take action, the burglary. I am sure that there is some sort of legal requirement to report a crime.

As for BGS, they constantly try to pester my pensioned mother, to extend her contract to include such luxuries as electrical cover. Even though I have pointed out to them that I am a qualified electrician, they still try to get hold of her to pressure her to upgrade her contract. Good job the phone is MY line, and I answer all calls.

Still, if she does answer the phone in my absence, she usually tells them to f' off. She might be a pensioner, but she still has her faculties, and she abhours any organisation who think old people are easy targets for such poor practices such as selling unnessary or duplicate insurance.

Received a 'call' from this number just now. Just hung up when i picked up! What's the point in that?

I have received several calls from this number regarding extra insurance for household events.  They [Ross and manager John in Belfast] refuse to send details to me by post regarding this, but require my bank details to set it up.  I refused.
British Gas homecare did not know of this [03/06/10] and told me to phone the police, which I did.  The number is a genuine B.Gas number
On calling various numbers for B. Gas to complain I was informed that they did know of what was happening but it was a 'different department'.  No complaint could be made or passed on therefore.  
I have a high regard for B.Gas homecare, they respond well to emergencies as they say, but this approach is letting them down.  LET THE HOMECARE DEPT. DO IT.

Just installed a new 'truCall' box on Saturday - this was the first number it blocked.
Nice to know it works!!

i assume its bg trying to get me to stay with them as ive jsut switched suppliers

Why don't you add these numbers to your phonebook and give them a title that you will recognise as a "junk" call - then all you need to do is see who is calling and ignore them!  Works for me.
