non stop calls at least one a day for the last month!

They called twice at around 11:30 am and 11:52 am. I answered one and they said they were British Gas sending out an engineer to 22 Adeleye.  I do not live at this address where ever it may be and if it exists. I have a feeling this is not british gas but some kind of scam.

Calls are coming in  at all times of the day and driving me mad - especially at work .. where I dont need office disturbing nuisance calls thank you very much....

I only slipped up 'once' about 6 months ago...told someone I REALLY wasnt interested, and got the phone slammed down on me...

I know the number so ignore it entirely now...but as everyone in here says ...'get the bloomin' hint guys...I really DONT want anything you might want to be selling me !! ''

7 silent calls within 1 hour! I know that someone from BGas is coming to check our boiler tomorrow, but all the silent calls are just poor service.

Called at 12.25. No response from their end, listened to phone for a couple of minutes, then they hung up. What are these people doing? Surely it`s not too much trouble to at least say who they are. However if it is British Gas, the few dealings I have had with them have convinced me that they should be wound up and never, ever be allowed to trade again. The biggest and worst sort of cowboy operator.

Get calls from this daily around 1245...Damned annoying

Phoned British GAs accounts department and told the to change any marketing preferences held for me. Switching suppliers is the next step.

Rang then did not answer. Hate this!!

Two calls from this number, one yesterday, one this morning. The first one I answered but they hung up immediately. Two days ago I submitted my British Gas meter readings online having filled in the phone number section which is obligatory (in case they need to contact you about your reading). Coincidence?

Just had a call saying as a valued customer I can have 3 months free boiler repair cover but after that it's just over £3 a month and as a valued customer there will be no cancelation fee and other mumbo jumbo.she didnt shut up long enough for me to say "Im not the bill payer". When she finished waffling on by saying can I put you down for it I told her no I aint the bill payer and I aint got the time at the mo she replied by saying so what are your reasons for not taking up the offer so I replied I aint got time for this the reply was you've been on the phone to me for a few minutes surley you can spare me more time after trying to put her off by saying I don't like your sales tactics she said im not selling anything so I told her straight that she was selling and to respect my decision. she still would'nt leave me alone I didnt like her attitude one bit. And  I could see what was coming next the horror stories of a broken boiler. Better not happen again otherwise we will change supplier.

Got a call from 08009806166 at 17:59 on 19th November 2010. There was a lot of rustling but no-one would answer.

Got a call from 08009806166 today to my mobile. Nobody speaking so ive left it connected to my mobile.
Upto 40 minutes so far. Lets see how much I can cost em :)

Yes, they can be a real pain, and so EXTRA annoying if they haven't even got the courtesy to be ready to speak to you if you do pick up !  Banks do it too. I conclude that they all have their phone marketing systems designed or manned by mannerless ego-trippers. If they leave voicemails on mobiles you have to pay to listen to them, and they bung up the land-line callminder so that the people you really need to hear from can't leave a message.

Seems from other posts that they are random dialling mobiles now! Previously I found a good policy was NEVER to admit to having a mobile number and bar their calls if you can. Then again, for some people the call barring service on the land line costs money they can ill afford so Notice under Section 11 of the Data Protection Act, 1998 (thanks for that !) looks like the best way forward now.

helo i had a call from this number at 19.55pm. the wowman asked if they could speak to the home owner , and is the owner over 75. i saide yes ,then they wrang of please contact british gas to see if this is  a genuine number asap .

I keep getting calls from this number, I have a contract with British Gas but do not appreciate persistent calls out of office hours trying to call me to sell me something as when the phone rings I think it may be an important call.

Had three calls yesterday! but wasnt home! My mother was at my home to visit,she answered my calls all three from B.G.Ive had so many problems with these in th past,and my mother was aware of them,So she told british gas to please stop to call,THEY THEN ASKED WHERE I WAS! And when im back and who my mum was! of course my mum got angry,and they said she was rude! They rang again twice,i think to annoy her,My mother is 76! but she did tell them to F--- OFF! they said thats no way for a lady to talk! Im wandering how those [***] wipes would like it if it was there familys being hasseled by a british gas telesales! what a low life job!
