- CammieThis number has begun plaguing me for days - we're going through a major family crisis at the moment regarding a death so have to keep the phone handy but these people just keep on ringing, adding to our stress levels that are already sky high!
I tried phoning them back to ask to be removed from their list as I have never had anything to do with company and don't want what they have to offer but you're left on hold for ages and paying for the privilege!- Caller: Consortium Reclaim
- windyfishI have just had a call from Matthew (who spoke in a welsh accent) asking for my husband, and I told him I dealt with all the bills, so he said hed explain to me. He waffled on about the consumer act blah blah blah and that he could help me with my credit agreements before 2007, so I asked him specifically what agreements he was talking about and he said "any you have taken out" and I again a sked him to what agreements he was referring and he couldnt tell me.... So I told him I didnt owe any money, I havent taken out PPI and that he couldnt help me with anything.... He apologised and said that that wasnt what his records showed.... (but he couldnt name any loans etc :-) ) and then he rang off!!!!
Sounds like random chancers to me if you google the number it comes up with all the details of the company...
I emailed them at this addy and asked to be removed from their data base, I also told them I was ex-directory and registered with TPS info@consortiumreclaim.co.uk- Caller: Consortium Reclaim Direct

- fuuuurious| 1 replyits a scam! i put in a claim and when they told me it was unsuccessfull they tried to fob me off to a debt management company!! The best bit then when i gt told i would get a full refund originally she then told me i had to pay solicitor fees which was like 600 pound. And no where in the paperwork did it say that!!
- tevor replies to fuuuuriousyou can do ppi directly by yourself. just inform the bank and request a processing form.
this way you dont have any fees.... - BobI am constantly called by this number, 08009878240, but whenever I answer it the person calling just hangs up. Really, really p**sed off now!
- andy| 2 repliesBob I emailed them my details and got my number removed. the address is cs@consortiumtechnology.co.uk
- raymond replies to andyi too have had calls from these people and when i answer they just hang up. i was just called again so i rang them back.....consortium reclaim....and asked where they got my number as i am subscribed to bt's tps. she said that they are given numbers by tesco clubcard or sainsburys etc because i didnt decline third parties being given my details(in the VERY small print !!!)when i applied for the cards !!!! she said my details would now be removed from their system.
- ReddersHad a 'cold call' from this number today. The caller - a male with a Welsh accent - tried to convince me that his company, Consortium, could assist me in dealing with the 'unenforceable debts' presently being charged by credit card companies and similar lenders. I suggested he was trying to incite me not to pay perfectly legal bills. He didn't like that ! I didn't get as far as finding out what his company was offering to DO, but I suspect a 'scam' designed to take money off me! Beware!!

- maggie liz replies to Rebb1987Your story is like listening to the phone call I have just had.
When they asked me for my details I said I would like time to think about it.
They make it sound so Too Good to be True.
When something sounds that good it usually is too good to be true.
They said they would call again later. - maggie liz replies to andyI have just tried that email address and windows did not recognise it.
Need to get my name removed also. - Small Town Gypsy Massacre| 4 repliesThey have just called me and were fairly polite when i explained I was not interested. I was encouraged to look on the web if i changed my mind and the website is here

- AliConsortium Reclaim rang us yesterday asking to speak to my husband. The woman then transferred him to a man called Matthew who proceeded to ask for his card details even though his card has no ppi on it, therefore no claim could be made. Alarm bells went off as he wouldn't let my husband get a word in edgeways. I managed to get his attention and told him to call them back. Checked them out on companies house - they do not exist anymore! Checked this site and several others and people are all saying the same thing about them. They put their fees onto your bank cards before they proceed with any claims. In our case there wouldn't have been any claim but I presume that once their fees were added, we would not be able to reclaim them from them. The man, Matthew, phoned back asking to speak to my husband again. I said no, told him what I thought of their company, advised him that I am registered with the TPS and that if they didn't remove our number, I would report them to the TPS for harrassment, as they cold called us. He said they would remove it but we shall wait and see! They are a scam company who cold call people for a quick couple of 100 quid a time. A couple of people have said that this company have maxed out their cards!!! *** DO NOT AGREE TO ANYTHING WITH THEM. THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO ALLOW YOU 14 DAYS COOLING OFF PERIOD AND YOU SHOULD HAVE SIGNED AN AGREEMENT FOR THEM TO ACT ON YOUR BEHALF BEFORE THEY TAKE THEIR FEES. BY LAW THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED TO COLD CALL PEOPLE IF THEY ARE A FINANCIAL INSTITUTION EITHER!!! ***

- Beth replies to Small Town Gypsy Massacre| 2 repliesDont Do it!!!
They cold called me when I was vulnerable, no doubt how they get most people- through desperation. I handed over my £700 under the strict proviso that I had nothing to lose. I asked the man Alex Jones, 4 times, to promise me I couldn't lose. If the debt was unenforceable, the credit card company would foot the bill, if the debt was fine, I would receive a full refund. Well its 13 months later and I have received nothing from them. I have chased this at least a few times every month to be fobbed off every time. It turned out they had even closed my case when Id phoned one time. I continuously chase them and they refuse to honour their original agreement. I am at a loss as to how to resolve this matter, all the while the debt on the credit card ever increasing due to the massive interest being accrued. They nearly doubled my debt with lies and they continue to increase it.> Take my advice - do not let this company lie and cheat you out of nearly £700 up front and £100s in interest!!!!!
