- HeatherThese phoned me today, when I answered the phone they hung up. I rang them back and spoke to an advisor. She began by say "your missed call was from one of our advisers...." I interrupted her by telling her that it wasn't a missed call as I did actually pick the phone up. Told them to remove my number, as I am registered with the TPS.

- me!| 1 replyCONSORTIUM TECHNOLOGY?.. OR as they like to call themselfs CONSORTIUM RECLAIM are cowboys. They have 2 main scripts. One used on a daily basis explaining about the Ministry Of Justice and how they are regulated by them (wich they are) and another one that they pick staff to phone customers and say to send off to the Ministry Of Justice that doesnt metion they are the regulator . The staff are not alowed to take payment off a potential client when the Ministry Of Justice are in carrying out a routine check on the company but insted are told to send the client a pack out and call them back another day. Yet when they are not checking on the company the manager/ment preasurize the staff to get payment from every customer and advize them to tell the customer the enitial payment is to send out the legal documentation. This in its self is surely enough to be closed down or face a hefty fine. Training for the staff is not in depth, i know this as a flatmate of still works there and has done for some time! This is why they ask you questions and then pass you to a `senior advisor` who is actually just a staff member who has been there longer and is thought to be good at `closing deals!` It is a sham of a company and it is not the staffs fault, they are purely doing the job asked of them, the managers will keep them late , tell them they are not going to lunch until they have hit 15 thousand pounds or more on occasions and give out disciplinaries left , right and centre. I feel for the staff at CONSORTIUM RECLAIM. and has anyone questioned why they call saying `its a public awareness call` and 2 mins later want money from you?! it isnt a scam, and can do some people big things but at the end of the day, it isnt a professional company. BE WARNED!

- ME!In regards to the data they have... this is pure speculation and i have no evidence but the director/manager used to work for a bank. ???? coinsidence?

- CRWthey are regulated by the Ministry of Justice. I agree but can any employee give a response to the fact they have to read a different script when the Ministry of Justice are carrying out checks? And why when recordings are sent to the Ministry Of Justice , is a different script used and not the script used on a daily basis to general potential clients? Surely its because the regulations are not being followed in the usual script?!
Also why when the Ministry of Justice representitives are there the sales staff cannot take payment but insted send a pack to the custmer free of charge? This must be again as regulations are not being followed . When they are not there you hard sell to the client and say payment has to be taken in order for the pack to be sent. Surely you are contradict yourselfs? Also , only selected members of staff are in on the `visit days` with the rest being told to take the day off. Why is this?
Senior advisors are only staff members that are classed as good closers , or someone who can get the details off the customer not actually anyone of any higher ranking within the company.
They say you recieve a cheque and then invoice them for whatever percentage off the back end but infact they recieve the cheque take however much and then send remainder to the client. So wht is stopping Consortium Reclaim from taking the entire amount and telling you your claim was unsucessful and refunding you the money you paid to begin with? they could still have made thousands of pounds.
So please, i ask any staff or management that write on this board pretending to be clients or just looking and trying to persuade people to reply. And of course you will because you will have a bias opinion as you work for the company and want to earn comission, therefore want potential clients to trust and believe you in order to continue or start earning big bucks. Many thanks.- Caller: CONSORTIUM RECLAIM
- Sammy replies to MGan 0800 number is not chargeable! If you want them to remove your number, ring them and tell them! All calls to these businesses with freephone numbers should be recorded so they are OBLIGATED to listen to your wishes!
- sadie| 3 repliesBeware. This is a scam. My daughter lost £3000 in fees to a similar company, so I was on my guard when I was phoned today. Somehow they had my address and exdirectory number, but were calling me by her name.
There is money you can recover from credit card agreements, but it can be done for free.
I have reported Consortium Reclaim to the police, who were very interested. Take care!- Caller: Consortium Reclaim
- Rose TrickettHad more than 20 calls in the last few days usually in the evening after i get home form work. But when i phone back they don't answer. It just happened again whilst i am home and it rung a couple of times and rung off. So I've just phoned them back and managed to actually talk to someone. The young woman on the phone, after telling me it is a public awareness campaign on behalf of consortium reclaim to explain about mis-sold ppi's and i said everybody in the world must know about this by now and i don't have a credit card anyway, apologised for any nuisance and when i asked her to remove my details form her list she did it immediately.
So phone them back tell them you have no Payment Protection Insurances and ask them to remove your details form their lists. They must comply.

- AmandaThis number started calling me this week 3-5 times a day, no one was there when I answered so I started ignoring the phone and doing 1471 after a call to see who it was and it wad this company! I have a new born baby and the constant calls were very annoying so I called them back this evening and asked them to stop calling me, she had my name from my number and has said she has removed me from their list. I hope this works!
- gizmo xxx replies to theScotI had a call from consortium reclaim in May and I stupidly went ahead with it. I cancelled the agreement within the 14day cooling off period and am fighting to get my money back. i wont fall for that
trick again. - MegThis company has helped me very much as i was in a right old mess with debt. Thwy happened to ring me one day and it was a day when i had recieved three notices in the post.
I was at the end of my tether and listened to what they said. I spoke to a lovely girl who spoke with a welsh accent. She told me they also deal with debt management and transferred me to debts made simple (?).
6 months on and i have had money back from ppi claims and an unenforcable credit agreement which means my overall debt was halved and now i'm getting back on my feet.
They have helped me no end and i thank them from the bottom of my heart.
They are a legitamate company who do a really good job.- Caller: Consortium Reclaim
- meg reply| 1 replyi dont for one minute belive meg you had a UCA PPI and debt management all done with this company as they cannot process a PPI and then a *UCA and then debt anagemant as firstly when you recieve a payout for PPI you sign documentation stating you will not take further action in regards to any thing to do with the card loan or credit, wich means you cannot carry out a UCA and even if for some bizare reason or you turn round and tell me it was a diff card for UCA you cannot then go into debt management as your card or credit would have been made unenforcable meaning the debt no longer has to be paid back so you would have had no reason to go into debt management and they would not have accepted you as you would not qualify. maybe you are another member of their staff trying to give this cowboy company a good reputation??? only obviously you dont quite know what you are talking about, or you are just completely lieing. thanks though.

- ANN replies to WilliamIt is Consortium Reclaim or Consortium Technology Ltd
They keep calling me; I also checked them out - with Creditsafe.
Apparently they were established 2009, and currently have a credit rating of 12 (out of 100), with the comment “Cash Transactions Preferred”).
They also appear to have a current CCJ for £496 that’s unpaid.
They only show 1 Director, with their Co Secretary both being appointed and resigning in Nov 2010.
Enough said. - janI had one of these calls about an hour ago. I don't remember doing a survey, however I too wasn;t prepared to give all my personal and credit details to someone who just phoned out of the blue. I was very tempted at the thought of getting rid of debt but didn't feel it was right. O'h well just have to carry on playing the lottery.

- Meg replies to meg replyWell clearly I do know what I am talking about because i went through it all?
Why would you come on here and call someone a liar?
I dont have to explain myself to you, they are a legit company and they helped me as i stated. You are simply a know it all.
Dont call me a liar. - RiggersThis number has been calling me for weeks and weeks, sometimes up to 3 times a day. I would answer in the beginning and would be met with silence. We have since blocked it on our phone but they are still trying!!
- Nathandon't trust them, still waiting after 5 months for a call back from them, and every time I call them another letter (or delaying tactic if you prefer) just happens to be waiting to be sent to me. No morals, no scruples

- NATHANMeg, legitimate is the word you are looking for you cretin, if you are going to plant fake stories on here to try and big up the company at least try and spell the important words
- Darth SidiousPhoned asking for my Mother, and asked her about the credit card she'd just received. Mother doesn't like credit cards so no way would she apply or even accept one.

- Cammie replies to Mrs Janice WhittakerI have EXACTLY the same problem - I've registered with a preference agency to stop nuisance calls but it does no good!
The same number will ring repeatedly each and every day - I've got to the stage now where I press "answer" on my phone and then walk away and leave them talking to themselves!
