They're still at it and still talking too fast. I reckoned they are involved in identity fraud.
I had a long conversation with a Welsh female. She became frustrated with my questions - especially when she couldn't explain why Googlemail was difficult for them to use in order to send me details - and eventually passed me to her "supervisor", "Scott" (male and also Welsh) who was equally unhelpful.  Eventually I told him I didn't believe a word and that it seemed like an elaborate scam, then I ended the call.
These are very plausible and clearly intelligent people whoever they are and could easily be persuading more vulnerable people to divulge personal details.

i love how people like you believe all the negative comments but as soon as people say positive comments its rubbish you need to look at it with an open mind if your going to give negative comments.

it isn't regarded as cold calling as the details they hold have been passed to them from a company consumer lifestyle who would have contacted you over the last year. If that is not the case it isn't consortium's fault as consumer lifestyle have given them details to say that they have done so, and  are only contacting you from the information that has been supplied.

Regarding PPI claims yes you can do this yourself as everyone is aware but the majority of people in the U.K really do not want the hassle or stress of dealing with it them selfs and really cant be bothered this is where companies like consortium come in. they can also get it resolved in a shorter period of time and can claim back every penny you are owed as banks will always offer someone doing it on they're own a settlement figure which the majority of the time will be accepted.

unenforceable credit agreements is a total different ball game as this is not something you can do yourself unless your a qualified lawyer in consumer law like myself. You will need the services of a lawyer which can be expensive and which you will have to pay for out of your own pocket. consortium offer this service of deeming your credit card debt on cards taken out prior to 2007 along with they're legal cost together, meaning you will not have to pay out of your own pocket for this service they also offer full money of the fee for the service if unsuccessful.

i myself was contacted by a pleasant gentleman called Clayton Holloway that described the services that he has to offer and gave me an in depth explanation of the process. he explained how the amendments to the consumer credit act of 1974 would affect my current credit cards or loans and how i would not have to repay any debts that i may have on them. Being qualified in this field and having gone through the process successfully with a client i personally know that what they are doing is all legal and above board and can be successful.

have nothing bad to report in relation to the companies service only the regular missed calls which i can only assume they will stop as i have answered they're call and i do not require they're services

Awful lot of positive posts on here.  For a site which is to report unwanted, unknown and scam calls, that is rather unusual.  Having waded through your post, you leave out more than you say.  You say this company will claim back all you are owed.  you do not say  what they will charge you for the priviledge. Regarding unenforceable credit agreements you can get free advice before proceeding. There are various organisations who are there to help.  The definition of a cold call is someone who contacts you without your permission or agreement.

Had a call from this company this morning, when challenged about 'cold call' they stated that they were not selling anything and that they were not cold calling, and they were only calling to advise me of government legislation.what a load of bull.!!! said they were not acting outside TPS guidelines ( wrong)
Am sick and tired of these type of companies pestering on the phone and text messages. They are selling a service so they are cold calling unless you have specifically given permission for them to call you.

I think you will find that these are one and the same company and yes you may have a genuine claim against a credit card or loan etc which is not enforceable through the courts.

This Company is really starting to piss me off, they hound you all day untill you answer the phone. there full of [***] and someone not so far from me should send a virus to there systems so all the contact details are washed away.... well, maybe if there dial a perticular home telephone number again not so far from myself im reconing that there phonelines / systems would get a bit of a supprise.   To all you harrased puplic out there , donot email them to stop them contacting you as it then gives them access to more harrasment.....

CONSORTIUM GO BACK INTO THE HOLE YOU CLIMED OUT OFF. ow and turn off the light....

do not repeat DO NOT use consortium reclaim i fell for there hard sell yes got a claim let to believe all fees had been taken. then 7 mths later started getting hounded for non payment of fees and a bill for £300 + fines for late payment, just off phone with them again to try and get it sorted out but not being able to get a word in as they continually speak over you gave up and hung up. nothing sorted apart from being threatened wit cc j. All this for £1000 well not worth it. Recommend Belmont Thornton had a no hassle settlement with them.

Of course they charge a would any business out there, those that think that a company would do anything without a fee is just stupid with claiming back ppi i was informed that they operate on a no win no fee with a fee of 25% of the settlement on the back end. with unenforceable credit agreements this is a different kettle of fish, as what they are doing is deeming the debt unenforceable they are not looking to gain you any compensation but purely not having to pay the debt back. by placing a fee onto the card itself prior to deeming it unenforceable what they will be doing is deeming both fee and debt at the same time therefor leaving you with no fee and no debt.

this is different to ppi and you would need a qualified solicitor in consumer law which can be pricey but still result in the same thing

Just had a very polite call. He referred to me by name. He told me it was an 'advisory call' about my credit cards. I told him I didn't have a credit card. He said I must have had one in the past. I told him 'No - never had a credit card'. This nearly true as haven't had one for more than 30 years !  He then said his data base must be incorrect. He was very flustered by now and put the phone down quickly !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, a company offering to write off your credit card balance, in return for a fee which they suggest you put on one of the cards.  Now I'm not sure its entirely ethical to knowingly spend money that you have no intention of paying back.

Call 17.00, 24.7.2012.  - Welsh voice, company 'Consumer Lifestyle' told me I had taken out a Credit Card before..........  I suppose it is a fair bet, except he told me I 'had' in other words he had foreknowledge. I put the phone down.  What has happened to the 'Telephone Preference Service'  they are a waste if time I imagine. A banana has more teeth?

One may have completed a survey as part of a guarantee on a washing machine for example but this does not give them the right to break the Data Protection Act, and of course the Telephone Protection Scheme.
