I received a call this morning from an unknown number telling me I had won a holiday after participating in a recent survey.  I can only assume this was a very brief couple of questions I got asked outside Asda recently regarding my shopping habits.  I remember it well as I refused to give any personal details other than my name and mobile number.  Despite this the lady that called me assumed I was married and was a homeowner.  I told her that I did not provide any of those details...  In any case I have still apparently won a luxury holiday for 4 to a European destination.  I asked "What's the catch?" and she said none...hmmmm  She did not mention that I would need to pay for anything or attend any presentation, just to call their travel team for further details and to be sent a confirmation pack. I asked her how many of the people completing the questionnaire typically won the holiday and she said 10%! That set alarm bells ringing straight away hence googling the number.

Thanks to this site I now know that this is a ruse to get you to sit through a holiday club presentation... It does sound like some people have stuck it out and got the holiday so fair play to them.  Personally I'd like to take a holiday on my terms and not feel beholden to some organisation who will be constantly giving me the sell while I'm trying to enjoy my holiday.

same as others, told had won top holiday for 4, to take in next 18 months, from a competition i had entered on-line.  And a second reminder call with new ref code and promise of upto £50 high street vouchers, so thought i'd put the free phone number on search, and these comments came up, i won't be ringing them back.

Had a phone call today telling me I had won a competition for 4 people up to £1500 to be taken within 18 months. I would have to pay £29.50 per person. I asked them what site I had won the competition on and they said Active View.co.uk. Can't find it on Internet.
They gave me the phone number 0800 988 9900 with a reference number and said it's on a first come first served basis.
What a load of BULL, if you win a competition, YOU WIN. not first come first served.

I got a call from Club La Costa after filling in a form at Bristol Airport to win a £5000  prize. As these guys were inside the airport, i assumed it was a genuine competition. I got a call this morning telling me i won a similar alternative prize to the ones mentioned in the above messages and that i had to call this number. I called it and the lady asked me to confirm my details. When i said i was renting and not a homeowner, she nearly hang up on me, saying it was only a promotion after all (and not really a competition where you actually have any chance of winning something).
I'm just very angry at Bristol Airport for allowing this so-called "competition" inside the airport!

This company also works at bourgas airport in bulgaria in the departure lounge, So if they come around asking for holiday feedback you will win a chance to sit at a property and time share sales pitch at a resort of their choice, dont be fooled.

I've had several calls recently saying we've won holidays in various draws that I don't remember taking part in. Just had a call from CLC saying that we'd won a holiday and to call 0800 9889900 with a reference number - putting the number into Google confirmed that it's a scam as expected.

Just had a call from an excited "Amber", I filled in a form at a Summer Fair to "help the organisers" and apparently I have won a 7 night holiday for 2 inc flights, I just have to call 08009889900 ASAP and quote the ref she gave me. Smells like time share to me, so I won't be calling but I will expect another call from her!

Hi, after entering a computition at Hickstead horse show I was contacted by the above mumber informing me that I had won a holiday or did they say "awarded"?  Well never mind to cut a long story short we went to a presitation in Thurrack for two hrs.  Yes it is a time share but we went anyway (nothing better to do). If you can say NO then go get your free holiday and £50.00 vouchers.  The more people that go and dont sign up for the time share but take the vouchers and holiday the sooner these poeple will have to stop.  I value my time and my husbands at around £75.00 per hour so as far as I am concerned we earnt the holiday.  TOP TIPS WEAR A WATCH AND KEEP AN EYE ON THE TIME AS THEY WILL DRAG IT OUT IF YOU LET THEM.  THE JOINING FEE THEY SAVE TILL LAST IS £14,000 ISH.  ANYONE THAT SIGNS ANYTHING WITHOUT TAKING AWAY SOMETHING TO LOOK OVER AND THINK ABOUT DESERVES WHAT THEY GET.  The young man that NEVER left our side was fine, polite and funny. We did not feel overly presured and came away thinking that we be interested in a time share at a later date.  For our two ish hours of time we came away with £50 vouchers and a holiday for 4 in Europe!  I am taking up the holiday (which I dont have to be dragged to see time share propeties!). DONT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER, GO AND SEE FOR URSELF!  THANKS CLUB LA COSTA!

All you have to do is ring 0800 988 9900 free phone number & quote your reference SST1....C to arrange an appointment to collect prize from Lakeside & discuss in more detail.
