I just got a call from this lady from CLC, she said more or less the same things that she said to all of you. That I've won an holiday, I've got 18months to redeem it. Destination Spain/Portugal/Canary Islands. CAll this number from landline, it's free and it'll take 5 mins. I'm gonna try and call, then i'll let you know.

Recived a call from "Ryan" at CLC, told me I had not won my dream holiday in Mauritius (boohoo) but instead had won an all inclusive break in Europe from Southern Spain to (can't recall where as by this stage my senses were alert and suspicions aroused!!!)

Had to confirm I met their eligibility criteris of being 25 - 44 yrs, married or living with partner and be a home owner.

Got given the 0800 number to call and a reference number to quote... have not bothered to call and nor will I. I have got better things to do than sit in a boring hard sell presentation for a couple of hours for a measley shopping voucher and a holiday which is likely to cost approx £300 anyway once you have paid the Admin, taxes and transfers!!! For me a FREE holiday means it's FREE with nothing to pay!!

Hmm...I just answered a call from a witheld numbner telling me I had not won the main prize in a competition, but a week in Europe. Call this freephone number and give them te reference number and they will send you an information pack. I was told there are no catches and I don't have to pay a penny or sign up for anything....oh and he congratulated me!
    Hmm....smells a bit fishy to me ;-)

Hi ... We received the same call about the holiday.

We have gone to a presentation before.  We didn't feel overly pressured, but we also never bothered going on the holiday.

Once again we have "been offered the opportunity" of yet another holiday if we agree to go along to another presentation.  I myself wonder if anyone (other then this Paula who I also feel must work for LaCosta) has gone along and actually done the trip.

I've done something similar to this in the States and found them to be legitimate.  You do have to be firm and say NO, but in the end you got what was offered.

I'd love to hear from others who have carried through and done the holiday without purchase of the time share.

just had a call ... confirm eligibility criteria of 25-62; homeowner and married or living with partner. Apparently I had won 1st prize... a holiday either in Spain, Portugal or Canaries. I would also be able to choose a UK destination should I not want to go abroad.

Was given a reference number .. TTTR109 and told to call 0800 988 99 00 witin the hour. This last thing got me suspicious. Apparently I had completed a survey on the internet in December last year.

Well, although I didn't feel pressured in the initial call ... I googled the number ... glad I did !

Two calls in 24 hours. First guy said sorry I had not won the holiday in the Maldives but I had won 10 days for THREE people anywhere in Europe. Given a reference  number to quote when I rang this 0800 number.
    Ok dream on !
He rang again next day reminding me to ring the number (oh where is my commission ???)
Leave it well alone.  I know someone who was told they had won the spanish lottery. They were told to to send £1200 fee & ring this number. Never been to spain, never bought a ticket.

I've just received this call as well - apparently I didn't win the first prize of £10K.  I made sure I sounded pleased and excited and then Googled the number I was told to call after I'd put the phone down.

If I've genuinely won something then they can post me the tickets, but I'm not going to be waiting for an envelope to drop through the letterbox!

    Just had the call.
Have phoned 0800 988 9900 and they want us to go down to Lakeside for the presentation.
They have assured me that there are no strings attached and that a 7 night holiday is all free apart from the £29.99 deposit. Have give them a ring back to arrange the visit....

Don't think I want to go to bloody Lakeside for anything, even a free holiday can't sway me.

Hello Everyone, i am a telephone operator for CLC!

    We get paid

50p if you call and can't choose a date for the meeting

£1-£2 if you Book the meeting

If the person on the phone is nice to you donate 50p to them by just ringing up the number

    It's a totally free number!!

If you feel in the Easter spirit you can ring them up and book a meeting, that way we get paid whether you turn up to it or not

The telephone operators are good people, the company just needs to sort out it's marketing.

I apparently won a competition online.  They knew name and DOB (can't remember if they had my address!).  Told me I won and could claim a holiday in Europe.  If i call this number and give ref to register the claim.  Had ayear or something to claim and decide.

Didn't call the number, felt it would be a scam.
Checked number on line (googled it) and it appears everyone thinks it's a scam.

Just got a call from an unknown number. He told me I had won a FREE holiday. I asked what the 'catch' was, cheekily, and was told that there was a £29,50 booking fee per person to pay, but to call 0800 988 9900 and quote my REF. SW****0 for more info. Which I did, and yes, you have to attend a 2 hour time share 'talk' to get some free vouchers and the holiday.
It is a 'scam' I'm sure BUT you DO get the holiday (ackording to several people) but you have to pay the £29,50 plus airport taxes, so it doesn't make it FREE, but still a cheap holiday...
I am going to this 'meeting' just for my own amusement, it's easy for me to say NO and I won't part with any money so I can't really lose anything :-)
