Just had a call telling me I have one a holiday for up to 4 people for 7 nights in either canaries, spain, portugal or one of their destinations in scotland or cornwall. Have been given a reference number and phone number 08009889900. Advised to ring by 21.00 when their lines close.
Suspicious hence googled the number as didn't recall filling out a lifestyle questionnaire as they stated I had few months ago.

Got a call saying I'd won 7 nights in luxury hotel in Spain or Canaries with La Costa Holidays. Only have to pay £29.50 each booking fee. Given a refence number "to quote when claiming my prize". Is this really a freephone number?

Some freephone numbers forward to a premium rate number and you could end up paying a fortune for the call - i'd avoid this at all costs. it sounds well dodgy! if everyone who fell for this scam paid £29.50, then this company are quids in!

    DON'T DO IT!!

Man phoned on 1 April early pm.  Told me I had won a holiday to choice of various locations.  I had no recollection of entering a competition.  Said I would phone the 0800 number but then checked it out on the net.

Got a call from CLC informing me that I have won a hholiday to Costa del sol or Portugal or Tenariff. I should be calling 0800988900. They had all mey details. I had to go to lakeside business Village with my wife to claim it.
It is supposed to be a free holiday to be taken withing 18 months. Only surchages would be £29.50 plus airport tax.
    WELL NOTHING IS FOR FREE!
I am not going to waste my time on it.

got a call from Private number, operator Ryan(he should change his name!) asked me to call 08009889900, another operator Leila answered , and offered 29.50 person of booking fee on up to 4 people on a 7 day holiday. Leila sounds impatient when I got some details wrong, but the presentation is scheduled end of this week, I might go though, this could be a good lesson for me to learn some hard sell skills:)

Let us hope the 0800 is not forwarded to some premium number, that gonna bite!

Just had a call from club la costa re winning an award from a survey but havnt filled in any surveys. Dont know how they got my number which is ex-directory but they knew I was homeowner, had a partner and knew our age groups. I was urged to ring the free number within half hour to get 5o quid vouchers. My nephew googled the number so I was able to then see all the messages and what a scam it was.

Received the same call this pm and they called again an hour later asking why I hadn't called the free phone number to register my free holiday! I did ask if this was a time share offer and they said it wasn't! How can they get away with that.  Having read the above comments I am tempted to say I will go to the venue but not turn up on the day! Can you imagine if 100 couples say they will go and then don't turn up that would be WICKED!!!!

Recevied a call to say i'd won a holiday to Europe and all I have to do is call 0800 988 9900 and quote a reference number.  If I call in the next half an hour I could receive an additional £50 of shopping vouchers.  Not going to call - just know it's a scam

Just had a phone call saying we've won a holiday after filling in a lifestyle form after a recent holiday.  They asked us to ring the number 08009889900 to claim our free holiday.

I spoke to a very nice lady Carmel, and have done some more research (by the power of Google)!  It seems like there is a free holiday for anyone who is able to sit through a sales pitch with heavy handed tactics and a lot of pressure that lasts up to 4 hrs. And then on the holiday itself you spend a day touring around on another sales pitch.

Office of Fair Trading unsuprisingly say don't go to the pitch, and we'll not be going - our time is too important to waste on this time share / holiday company.

Just had a very similar call. Won a holiday!  Hurrah, but how come? "You entered a survey last year, Madam." Strange that I can't remember doing so. Anyway, long story cut short, to claim  I should phone 08009889900 and quote a reference and claim my free 7 nights with 4 free flights in lots of lovely foreign destinations.  Call within an hour and get high street vouchers as well. I think not. Thank goodness for Google as at least now I know it is a time share con rather than someone charging my mobile phone at a premium rate number or something equally evil.

They called to say I (along with 5 others in my area) had been selected to win a 7 night holiday for up to 4 people after completing a survey. All I have to do is call the number it seems and I will get the details in writing. Can I be bothered to go through it all? And then if I go, be subjected to sales pitches every evening? Still undecided how much I need that sun tan....

Still active on same basis suggesting I've won holiday for replying to a survey (sometime in the last 12 months - couldn't be more specific than that) +/- £50 of vouchers if I call back in 30 minutes.
Mobile now off for rest of day!
