Cancelled Vodafone contract to reverse to pay as you go and today I got 4 phone calls from this number. Very annoying! I might just migrate to a different company altogether.

I requested a PAC code from Vodafone yesterday so the repeated calls now make sense.  I've had approximately 4 calls already.  I ignored all but the last one which I realised was automated so I rang off.  Thank you to this page for saving me from even thinking of answering the calls to come.

I have had this and I only got a contract for a mobile broadband usb stick.

If this isn't for any particular reason then they have collected my number for improper usage and I will simply have to cancel the contract and report them under the data protection act.

Thay also tried calling the data stick - how stupid can they be.

Have got several missed calls showing from this number over the last few weeks. Also I did not want to phone back in case it was a scam. I got one this morning at work and a guy answered saying he was from Vodafone and wanted to review my account. I said ok and he asked me for my password. I asked why he needed it and he said to access my account. Surely if he is from Vodfone he would have all the information to hand when he phoned me. (Although he knew my name). I said I was not going to give it and hung up.

i tried to set up a contract with t mobile this morning and since had 3 missed calls from this number so however i do not think this is their way of punishing you but do agree this is slightly annoying as they can see im busy at work and cannot answer so why not email me or leave a voicemail :s

    this discussion fascinates me.

since requesting my pac code from vodafone, i've had - without exaggeration - between fifty and sixty calls from this number.  always 08080000133.

there is retention and there is harassment.  there is 'customer relations' and there is bludgeoning people.  if any of these boys or girls who i'm sure are all incredibly lovely individuals in their own right had once thought to leave a message, just normal, civilised conduct: identify yourself, give a number you can be called back on, i would have spoken to them within twenty-four hours, and would probably even have considered what they have to say.  i'm a reasonable human being.  but having been subjected to this barrage of calls four, five times a day - and it will probably continue until i finally take my pac and go to O2, not because i particularly want to but because i particularly want to try the iphone which vodafone, i can't help it, simply don't offer - i will not now under any circumstances consider staying with vodafone, or go back to them once they do have the iphone: who wants to be exposed to this?  what kind of a business attitude is this?  what kind of directive are these poor people working under: 'if they want to leave, just keep phoning the [***], ultimately they'll crack?'  well, i won't.  and i'm hoping i'm not the only one.  somebody's doing something appalling here and by the looks of it it's starting to register.  i don't think it'll pay off.  so to vodafone it's: sorry guys, you lost me.  adios.

Voda cancelled my voicemail "because nobody left you a message for 3 months".  WUuuh?  I was sick of my expensive contract anyway, so I asked to change from contract to PAYT.  They said ok. Now an incessant barrage of these bloody 08080000133 calls, and if I answer, all I get is very distorted on hold music.

Voda really must be utter morons if they think that by harassing customers like this, they'll get us to agree to contracts.   It's bad enough they call, but it's insane that they call and just play music at you.

Voda really don't seem to give a toss about customers / customer service.

I decided not to renew with Vodafone two days ago and have been having the 08080000133 phone calls, I have been disconnecting as soon as it rings.  The reason why there isn't anyone there when you answer is due to the number calling you being computerized it rings your number a certain amount of times every day but if an advisor is not available to speak to you Vodafone end it is silent on the other end, When you speak and an advisor is free it signals to an advisor in retention and therefore they can then do their selling to you again! Very clever Vodafone - but not so, we are on to you!!!!!!!!!!!! Go away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got my first call after being with them for a while, so I googled and found this site.  There was an actual person on the line who said, 'Hello, can I speak to Jen?'  so I said, 'Yes, speaking.'  'Is that Jen?' he says.  'Yes it is, hello.  Hello?  Hello?  Hello, is there someone there?'  <click>.  The f#cker put the phone down on me.  Customer service call my @rse, and I'll be complaining to Vodafone about that as soon as it's convenient for me, ie not in the evening when I'm trying to relax.

I also requested a PAC code from Vodafone a couple of weeks ago after they wouldn't offer me the phone I wanted for free, even though all other companies seem to be offering it for free....and after 10 years of being a loyal customer, you'de think they could do me a better offer than charging me £195 for a phone i can get free elsewhere! Anyways, I decided that was the last straw with them and decided to go with 3 who have great line rentals deals on at the mo too. I've since been harrassed with multiple calls everyday from this number and also 08452453200. According to some websites and comments, this second number may not be vodafone, so beware!
I decided to answer the 0808 number as after googling it, it looked like it was coming from vodafone, so i thought I'd answer and it would get them off my backs! I was soo wrong! I spoke to some guy who asked why i wanted to leave and wanted to see if he could do me a better deal....he got the phone i wanted down to £40 but as I said to him, it was too late by then, I'd had enough of their lack of loyalty and customer service and there was no way he was going to change my mind. I didn't have anymore calls for a few days, then I started getting calls again from both numbers, which I've ignored...what do we have to do for them to get the message!?

I got so annoyed with these calls thats I phones vodafone "Customer services" and they assured me they would stop these calls. They didnt. I therefore answered one of the calls, told them I had requested they stopped ringing me and it was harrasment, they told me they would put a note on my account so I wouldnt recieve anymore calls.   I've had 4 in the last 24 hours already.  Just one of the many many reasons I am leaving vodafone. Jokers.

Further to my post here few months back, after being harrassed by numerous phone calls from this no. I then received final warning demanding monies for bill, even though Vodafone hadn`t even sent the bill to me in frst place. By the time that i contacted Customer services to ask on an itemised bill and received it, they has passed debt collectors (less than 3wks) and i then also got harrassed by them also until paid. I have no plans to return to Vodafone who i previously with 5yrs unil moving to 3. Happy to report no calls from either but a stinking letter to Vodafone customer service on its way.

wrote to cancel my 2 contracts which I've had for about 7 years-their fault wanted to upgrade one phone and upgrade the package and was told I had to pay for phone even though they were offering it free with £15 packages to new customers! I have been receiving about 6 0r 7 calls per day for the past 3 days and was not surprised to find it is vodafone, no point trying to get you back when youre leaving, better to try and keep you at the time!
