- Stevei've 'phoned Vodaphone and they say it's a legitamate number, apparently 'business to business', crap! it never talks, and it calls me at all hours of the day. if Vodaphone don't block it, like i've asked many times, i shall throw the phone away. hate being tied anyway.
- K WI am on O2 pay as you go
This number calls me on a regular basis but hangs up before I can get to my phone.
I am sure I get charged for the call I am monitoring at present
Next time this number calls check your account balance! - GrezI have also started getting these calls but have never answerd it as a thought it would be someone trying to get me to buy something,
Luckily for Viewty users there is a block feature so not all bad. When the number now tries to call a message appears on the screen saying call rejected and dosent ring or vibrate - nat08080011101
- natwho is this keep ringin me?
- JennyThis same number keeps calling me. On one occassion i answered and they said they were from vodafone. I was told i was eligible for an upgrade, strange then that the previous week I had called vodafone myself to get an upgrade but they informed me that my current contract had to run for at least a further 6 months until i became eligible for an upgrade. I challanged the guy on the phone regarding this and he just hung up. Charming!!!
Shame on vodafone. - kateim with vodaphone and i get up too 5 calls a day from this number no answer when i pick uip the phone but its very annoying i tried to get vodaphone to block the number but they said they couldn't! very frustration whilst at work as think it could be important call but insted its them!
- Caller: vodaphone
- Dunham3 times today, twice they didnt even talk to me straight away. I asked the third time to not recieve calls again.
Claimed to be from Vodafone!- Caller: Vodafone?
- eggKeep getting calls from this number vitally everyday, not answered any of the calls yet as i just assumed it was a spammer. It it is genuinely vodafone then they need to stop using this method of contacting people. I don't like random people ringing me up and i don't want to speak to someone from vodafone when i'm out and about, it's not pleasant. when i need a new phone i will contact them. until that time if the feel the need to contact me they should write or send texts like the used to do, it's far less intrusive.
I also feel that automated calling of this type should be banned. - IrritatedThis sales pitch from Vodafone or their designated third party representative really isn't a winner.
They're getting right up a lot of their own customers, and those of other networks, noses. They really need to stop it.
As 'egg' says - automated calling should be banned - it's harrassment.
This number is Oftel regulated so no matter where it eminates from it is legit (still VERY annoying though) so no-one need worry about being charged for an incoming call?!- Caller: Vodafone or their representative
- MattPhoned Vodafone just now and this is their number and part of their promotional department. My gf constantly got calls from them like some of you have already said, my advice would be to answer and politely decline without revealing your pin etc.
- Glenn dayTurns out this is a scam from Vodafone .They called me to tell me i was £80 over my free calls and tryed to get me to upgrade to the next call package . When i looked further into this it turns out i was nowere near going over my free mins . How can a lare company like Vodafone get away with theese sort of lies . How many people have fallen for this scam and spent money upgrading to the next call tariff when it was unnecessary ?
- CaffIf your phone supports it add the number to your auto reject list and be plagued no more, of course you could always divert them to a premium rate number (make sure you don't get billed for the divert first)
- MaryThis number has called for over two weeks requesting data protection information.
They say they are Vodaphone but don't have any details about my contract.
I'm cautious about giving information over the phone, when I'm unsure who I'm really giving it to. - Carolinei have had two calls so far today one i didnt pick up the other when i did pick up was silent. How annoying.
- LOADSAMUSICFOUND THIS ANSWER FROM VODAPHONE ON THEIR WEBSITE....http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=5071 ..........The call you have received is not from Vodafone Direct, however the call is from a 3rd party company calling on our behalf. The reason why they asked you for your details was, for in order for anybody to access your account due to data protection.
We use 3rd party companies to conduct our phone surveys and other promotions.
This prevents any individual changing your account other than those authorised on your account.
Hope this helps. - dorian KellyI had the first of these calls today, Vodafone told me that they had no record of any complaints: however today I had a cold call from a company called acme liesure so I imagine that this was a harvesting excercise.
- unknownRather PISSED off at these type of calls now, Whoever can control or STOP them then please do so.
- Caller: Not known
