Still here waiting in the wings, Ive got no news one way or the other as yet but ive got an interview on friday with my MP as you know and will be giving him all the info I have on these muppets.
Sounds like you girls have got the bases covered what with the BBC and SKY Legal Dept, (WAY TO GO GANG) Ill make sure they get the info from me too. Meantime, WELL DONE GANG, KEEP FIGHTING, STAY STRONG.
Regards to all, Joe. - LizzieM replies to Katy| 5 repliesThey already have my story - I emailed them about 3 weeks ago. I had a call back from them saying they were redirecting my email to their compliance department - this is really gathering speed isn't it? Hope there's a court case we can all go to!!
- LizzieM replies to Joe90Hey Joe!! Was getting worried that you'd forgotten about us!! (Not really - knew you were seeing your MP) Nice to hear from you!.
- Katy replies to Joe90Welcome back Joe!
Things do seem to be moving now don't they! Of course an investigation by the BBC needs more people (unfortunately only from the Northwest but it's a great advance) to contact Jayne Barrett.
We're getting there! - Katy replies to LizzieM| 4 repliesLizzie that's great, hopefully you'll get a follow-up call from them soon.
I hope so too, would love to sit in on that! I often wonder whether Alladin took that job with them?... - LizzieM replies to Katy| 3 repliesFor his sake, I hope not! Good luck with your BBC - tell her to give the heads up to her Yorkshire and Humberside Colleagues!
(Been for my 3 month check up today - everything looking good!) - Katy replies to LizzieM| 2 repliesLizzie I'm so thrilled for you, 'specially after all this - that's the best news!
I wonder if it's worth all of you contacting your own local BBC Investigators? I will check with her though. - LizzieM replies to Katy| 1 replyAND.............my post is now on the Mirror site!!
- Katy replies to LizzieMGood post Lizzie!!
Must go now - goodnight everyone! - Steel City| 2 repliesHad a call from these f*ckers yesterday evening -- at 8:20pm, there's service for you -- and before I knew it the caller was mid-way through the spiel. After asking which company they were calling from and stating that I am not their customer he explained they'd bought out the previous company or changed the name (I don't know or care which is true). So I asked him to put this in writing since he has my address and that unless and until they did so they have no business contacting me least of all attempting to bill my card for anything. If I receive it in writing I can make a decision -- in my own time, not on the receiving end of a call -- as to whether they can continue to have my custom (massive hint: no).
- Caller: Sampora (or whatever they're called this week)
- Katy replies to Steel City| 1 replyWell done Steel City for not getting caught up! If they've not got your card details then you're safe!
It's difficult to comprehend that they will still try these aggressive tactics when they're under investigation!
If you get time could you put a complaint in to Sky? The more evidence they have of misrepresentatin the better.
I'm still waiting for the email from Sky so that I can put a direct link on here. If I haven't heard soon I'll go on to the site and find it.
Keep checking in to see how things are going! - Katy replies to Katymisrepresentatin.........wot's that??!! I think I meant misrepresentation!!!
- holly| 7 repliesgot a call from these people today the whole time i was on the phone was lead to belive it was sky and that i now needed to take out insurance as my warranty had ran out, i stupidly gave them my details then after rang sky to double check, sky have never heard of sampora then i found this site and now realise ive been scamed!!! i rang them back straight away to cancel ive been told it has been but from what ive read am now worried it wont of been! if this number rings you do not answer! if you want insurance for your sky products go to, skyprotect! sampora is a scam,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
- Caller: sampora
- Nan replies to holly| 5 repliesYou might be safer putting it in writing (keep a copy) and send it Recorded Delivery as soon as possible. That way you have solid proof that you cancelled. Read some of the earlier posts regarding contact details and complaining to Sky. Good luck.
- Katy replies to hollyHolly, please write to them telling them you are cancelling any agreement made and do not want their contract. Make sure you copy your letter before you send it recorded delivery or better still special delivery - it's worth the fiver it costs!
Call your bank and ask to speak to the fraud department and ask them to cancel your card and monitor your account.
Contact Sky - email or write to the Customer Relations Dept - address is on their site - and explain that they tried to sell you a contract and misrepresented themselves as Sky and then call Consumer Direct who will forward your complaint to Trading Standards.
Read the previous posts right through for further information and contact numbers if you haven't already.
keep in touch with this site!
Please don't delay, you need to protect yourself. - Katy replies to Nan| 4 repliesSorry Nan, I repeated what you'd already said!
Can you believe they're still up to the same tricks!!! - Nan replies to Katy| 3 repliesYou know what they say about great minds!!! They won't stop until someone stops them. Unfortunately, given the law in this country, they will be allowed to "phoenix" under another name and off we go again.
- Katy replies to Nan| 2 repliesHow true is that. Scam avoidance should be taught as part of the school curriculum!
- Nan replies to Katy| 1 replyGood idea. Unfortunately they can't cope with reeding riting and rithmatic!!
- Katy replies to NanHa ha - I donnt no wot yoo meeen!
Must go - goodnight Nan.
