- KatieHi guys, I am not here to support any1 but would just like to make some things clear. This company is not scam, and if you have ever had a chance talking to them on the phone, then you must have noticed that they never say that they are part of SKY. They always say that they are independent company and they have no affiliations with SKY. There are a number of other companies who are doing sales for different different things and SATLITE are one of them and their sales is about insuring your SKY boxes. They are legitimate I have been with this company for more than a year now and infact their engineers came once when my box got broken.
There would be people who wouldn't be interested in insuring their boxes that is totally a different scenario but calling some company scam is not right.- Caller: SATLITE

- steppyjoI have just had a call from this number and was given a name and told to call back for confirmation that he was a genuine sky employee. I've just googled sky and the number and found this site and am very glad I did. They are very convincing giving a service number and work from a very good script, I wonder how successful they are?

- Mrs PMy mother has just been scammed for the second time in 12 months. The first time I cancelled the contract that she had been duped into purchasing in writing by recorded post, and cancelled her credit card account. We did get the £60 back, only because VISA appears to have got involved. However, this time (12 months to the day of the last one) she has been duped out of £144 and she has given her debit card details. Once again I am writing to cancel the contract under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, and also sending details of this to her bank. I will take this as far as is necessary to stop these barefaced scammers targeting her because she is old and infirm. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

.. and lucky i havent had charges for being overdrawn ..through these idiots who suit themselves to con as much as possible - CameronI can't believe I got caught out by this. I am always very wary of con artists. I did question at the time why they were so keen to sell me annual cover as it should make no difference to them. I feel so stupid. I have contacted my bank to inform.

- StephenI got a cold call from sat lite who implied they represented sky. They do not. I fell for it and they took the money from my account promising to send out a contract and that I had a 10 day cooling off period. No contract arrived. I spoke to my bank who informed me they are a legitamite company but offer no service. The bank confirmed their number and advised me to ring and cancel my contract and ask for my money back. I rang and eventually got through and spoke to a girl called Cindy who was very nice but tried to say there where postage problems but when I stated I wanted my money back as I didn't received paperwork she said ok. 10 days later the money is now back in my account. The number I rang is 08442490999 Good luck

- AnnieI had a call from a company called Sat Lite telling me that I could renew my Sky package at half price today only. Their records showed that the package was expiring. I went along with it just to see what happened although I don't actually have Sky. I told them I needed time to think about it and I would call them back. They gave me the above telephone number, although the number they called from was witheld. I suggest they were scam as they would only take a payment over the telephone today. The woman I spoke to said she was called Arzo.

- smithersJust received a call from these guys advising my warranty is due to expire on my sky equipment....
When I told them it was funny as I don't even have sky, they unsurprisingly hung up...- Call type: Telemarketer
- LindaJust had a witheld number call me and low and behold it was this lot. A foreign call centre was what it sounded like. I almost fell for it, thinking I was getting my sky tv cheaper (he said they had reduced it to £21 a month). He then started asking for bank details and alarm bells rang. I told him I paid sky by standing order every month and they would have the account details. He then said no we are the people who fix your equipment.......I then hung up - dare say they'll phone again.

- Susan BootyWhat a company and what a service!!
Everyone is complaining here, i dont understand what the problem is? Have you ever tried their service? clearly not otherwise you wont be here. You pay the money and get the services. I dont understand why people relate them to sky, where they clearly say that they are independent. If people are not bothered enough to listen properly when talking, confusions and misunderstandings take place.
I wasnt happy paying 24 pounds a quarter but when i needed them, they helped me out and i would say my money is well spent.
Your judgement should be based on your observations and experiences not on negligence!!!
cheers!!!- Caller: sat lite
- JulieI have also been scammed by Sat Lite Ensured. Telephone call 2nd November stating they were sky insurance and mine had expired and would I like to renew it. They knew all the details of which equipement we had and which pakages we had. They took £29.50 from my account and told me I had 7 days to cancel the policy and I would recieve email confirmation and written details in the post. Neither arrived so checked my account and realised SAT Lite Ensured had taken the money not Sky Protect with whom I am still insured with and has not expired. I telephoned them to cancel the policy and request a refund of the £29.50 which they didnt quibble about but we will see if it actually arrives back in my account!!!

- DMJI have had five phone calls from this company in the past few weeks, each time they have told me that my Sky warranty is about to run out and I need to renew it. Each time I have told them that I don't have Sky! My mum has also had phone calls from them and she doesn't even have a TV, let alone Sky equipment.
This time I asked for a contact number for them as they always phone from a withheld number. The number they gave me was 08442490999.
I don't know whether it is a scam or not, but I obviously don't need their services as I don't actually have Sky!- Caller: Satellite
