Hi Rose Trickett I know its a while back now but has any one answered your plea, I had a call from same number but I answered it and I'm afraid I got sucked in . It is a big scam so be careful if they call back they will try to sell you a magazine subscription for a £1.00 and ask for your card for postage fee, I have had to get my bank to stop any further deductions from my acc they took £79.99 even without the security code. There is several site reporting this plus other numbers, just type the 08445670460 into google and see what you get I have just found it but too late.

Was scammed by this company to subscribe to a magazine for £1, only to find they took a further £79.99 and i have never received anything from them!

If you are not a scam company then give me back my money into my bank account that you stole illegally. You took the money out even though I cancelled the subscription in time, by phone and on the Internet.  Also answer your phones!

Did you get your money back? The same thing happened to me at about the same time, they said that they would pay the money back in ten days but nothing happened.

i was contacted tonight by this number saying that I had completed a survey and that i was entitled to a £20 petrol Voucher and a free magazine but i had to pay a pound towards the postage and that i did not have to subscribe to the magazine. i guessed that this was a scam and told her to keep her voucher and her mag and I am glad I did as when I googled it I found this site and my suspicions were found to be true.

Like most of you I was taken in by this soft spoken woman but I only lost the initial £1, tell your bank immediately and they will cancel your card.
I notice they have a freephone number and would have to pay for all incomming calls

I spend a few minutes everyday phoning them,by now it should have cost them the pound I lost,
so why dont you all spend a short time each day dialling the above number,it is free and they will get a nice bill for xmas

On the 20/11/12 I was also called by a soft spoken female from what sounded a very busy office, offering me everything that others have been. I was lucky in respect that i managed to only lose £1. The letter and booklet i received supposedly came from MECLUB  pembroke house , Springmeadow  Cardiff CF3 2ES , one of the adverts in the booklet was for the magazine Me Life , and it had a piece by the editor , it's just reminded me FIONA  I'am certain was the name the soft spoken woman gave. I will be giving all their freephones i good  ear bashing.

I received the same cold call as everyone on 21/11/12, and like a fool gave my card number.
The "Welcome" pack arrived today (30/11/12).  
It tells me I have until 4 December to cancel (ie next Tuesday).
I have emailed to cancel this, but after 6pm today. (hello@meclub.co.uk)
I am mailing them first class for despatch tomorrow.
I intend to ring them on Monday on 0800 6696480.
It all seems like a scam to me.

This is my third post, since the last one I have been in contact with Me Group, first time was on 09/11/2012 talked to lady called Bethan, she promised a refund would be in my account in 8 to 10 days. Nothing happened 6th December, so called her again, she said there is a back log of complaints and it would take 2 weeks, which is up today 07/12/ 2012. I was scammed on 18/10/2012 the number I used to contact them is 08006696408 mind you I've tried today they keep putting me on hold then ask me to try again later. Will do just that, well it is e free call for us but  billed to them.

A woman just rang me from this number and gave the same story about the £20 petrol voucher and sending me a magazine. She kept calling me luvvie which made me suspicious as it's not all that professional. When she asked for the £1 via my debit card I said I'd rather not give her my number. I thought maybe I was being overly cynical but seems not after all!

Hi, I have subscribed but so far only recieved, after several calls, 2 magazines( one a backdated issue which was no good as it was out of date.  Also I have not recieved my petrol voucher.  I am beginning to think this is a scamand that I want my £65  refunded.  I have tried to contact you by phone several times a day, but always the same response, uable to take my call at this time try again later.  This never happens, you are never available.  If this also gets nill response I shall set about getting my subscription money back and reporting it as a scam.  Lynn Wilkinson, customer no #2252535

Since my last message on this forum I have tried to contact ME GROUP several times but with no success, I get put thru to be put on hold then the usual message sorry your call cannot be taken at this time please try later the get cut off. I have been trying since early November, I did get all the way twice and spoke to young woman first time and was told I would get a no quibble refund in 8 to 10 days, never happened so called again at end of 10th day was told I was in a queue call back in two weeks, so did do which is where I am now with no reply. I am now thinking small claims court to see if I can get anywhere, I have given them all the chances to sort it out. Has anyone else tried the small claims? The are obviously still at it they need stopping, so come on people get together on this. Add up all the money they have taken from people with this SCAM. just look at this forum.

Just like to add to previous message, they took £79.99 plus the £1.00 postage without even using the three digit security code from the back of my card. I didn't get a thing ,no mag, and no fuel vouchers. Check message 10 on page 1 from ME GROUP and the no quibble refund.

MeGroup is most definetly a scam. I have tried to make contact with these people without any success on 08006696480. I have also tried to make contact through their website www.meclub.co.uk/cancel. with no success. I have originally declined their offer of membership on the telephone, when they called me, by saying I wished to cancel before the 14 day period. They accepted this verbal instruction, or so they said.

They have now taken money from my account one month later.

I am been in contact with my bank and the Trading and Standards people. I await further notification from both. The T & S people said MeGroup are committing a criminal act by not printing their address on the web site. However, it is on the letter that they sent me and is; Pembroke House, Springmeadow, Cardiff CF3 2ES. I suggest you all make contact with BBC Watchdog, as I have done. It is to be considered how many other people that they have taken money from. Two names I have who are described as owners of MeGroup are Wayne Phillips and Noyan Nihat.

Hi I was called by one of your reps who offeed all sorts of things and asked for my card details of which they would only deduct £1 and told me this was to check I was over 18 but if I decided to join the club 14 days after I received my magazine my account would be deducted to the tune of £79.99. I got the magazine and after reading it I decided it wasn't fo me so I called up staight and cancelled,and I asked your rep to confirm that no further money would be taken from my account to which she did.
well I logged onto my bank account today and was surpised to see that £79.99 was taken from my account 4 days after I had cancelled. I have rang the 0800 No that was on the letter only to get an answer machine saying no calls can be taken at this time try again later and no matter when you try you get the same message.

I have been dealing with meclub and I had brilliant service. Obviously they need your correct information to be able to cancel any memberships or for any other queries. If you send them an email, I'm sure they will help you in any way possible they can.
