Just got scam by the company meclub please be aware you arnt helping them with research for cancer its to fill there pockets the company phone numbers and website are all dodgy and they just want your money.please dont do it.x

just been scammed by this company claiming to help cancer reshearch for them to rob me £79.99 by sending a letter out to late and with phone numbers that dont excist and an email address that doesnt work.please beware the vouchers are scams too.

Same problems as everyone else,had call received voucher book, said in letter there will be a charge £79.99, have tried ringing to cancel. no answer on phone no reply from e.mail. had to inform my bank not to allow payment, only thing can do is cancel my card.... which being a single parent who is terminal ill from brain cancer having to get bus into town to draw money over counter. Its terrible how they get away with it, very worring and frustrating...

I dont believe you have had a 'brilliant service' of those swindlers ME CLUB! like all the people above, i also have also been duped out of £69, can i get hold of them? no chance! ps. you must work for them???

Overly [***] off about this i cant believe i even done it Isnt there anyway we can dispute it they got 79.99 outa my account for a cancilation fee that i hadnt even cancelled They cancelled it 2 days before i even knew about it on a bank statement i see today

How much of our money are these swindling gits paying you to try to calm us people who are suffering through giving this thieving git company our proper details. They have taken 10000s of pound from us, they wont even answer my calls, I get the same goddam message every time. It seem now that they are not even letting me get to the messaging service by blocking my calls.

Thank god I googled about this tonight. I did complete a survey by phone yesterday from someone telling me they were researching for utility companies for switching supplier etc; and asking did I want to donate to various charities at which I replied no as I already have my own things I donate to. At the end of the call he did tell me I had qualified for a £20 fuel voucher and I would receive in 3-5 days. Never asked for card details or anything and thought no more of it. Tonight however I received a call from a guy called Allan from Meclub stating that I did the survey yesterday and was entitled to this £20 petrol voucher along with 1 magazine from Meclub on a 14 day free trial. If I wanted to subscribe after that I could at a cost of £79.99 but the 1st magazine and petrol voucher would be mine to keep just for looking.Then came the mention of postage cost of £1 to be paid by card. As I am always so cautious of transactions over the phone I said I was felling very wary of giving my card number to someone who has just called me on the phone. He then went onto say that nothing more could be taken and as the only detail he needed was the long number and expiry date it would be safe. Even went as far as giving me the full address, freephone number, website details and call ID number, So in the end he had me convinced I was ok to go ahead so I gave him card number. Also I had been told it was for cancer charities and having needed the services of Macmillan in recent years myself decided £1 wasn't much to give them. Something was still niggling me when I had put the phone down though so I promptly came on the laptop and googled and was brought to this page. Fortunately I called my bank up immediately and the payment hadn't come from my account and as it was done by card couldn't be cancelled. Luckily for me I have just received my new bank card but had used the old one with this guy so I was able to cancel the old card I had used completely with the bank and they assured me that even if the payment tried to be taken showing an earlier time etc it would not leave my account. These people are just SCUM. My poor Grannie was donating to so many things but nobody knew until her affairs were being put in order. They just prey on the vulnerable all the time. Hence the fuel voucher offer.

have had exactly same problem as everyone else and bank say money will have to be taken before they can take action.Have cancelled bank card so hopefully nothing will happen now. Also changin bank accounts,wont happen again i promise you.

Yes i was called by these people saying the same as most of you but they will most likly get the pound but nothing else. Because i have been to my bank who have now cancelled my card.so im now waiting for a new one.but at least they will only get the pound.there are lots of scams but can not belive i fell for one.the sweet talking woman should be ashamed of herself!! Hope these scamers get there just deserves!!

the very nice polite girl was nasty and hung up.

what a load of rubbish, they conned the money out of me saying I did not telephone within the 14 days I can prove i DID  then told they would refund money within 28 days after a lot of phone calls and threatening them,  still waiting for the money last chance today before i GO TO WATCHDOG and any other consumer programme I can find to warn people of your company.

I there ,unfortunately I also fell for this too. IV tried to contact them by phone, e mail but no reply.                  I have spoken witg my bank ,but they are unable to stop payment. All I can do is a Card Dispute thereafter.

tried to cancell rang the no 08006696480 just told ring back later even trid the no to book holiday operator said i had dialed wrong no so got intouch with the bank and i only hope they dont take 79.99 out the bank said they would block it so fingers crossed

Yes you do cold call, a lot, and even after you have been asked to stop. I have emailed you and been ignored. I have asked on the phine that you remove my details from your system. You have not. You say you are working for charity but I am a charity worker on alow wage and you are now harassing me. I will not sign up  as you almost had me once before. Ypu will not get my card details. However if you keep insisting on this level of harassment and on selling my details as i know you have, i will go back to trading standards, TPS  and the ministry of justice about you and i may well make a claim against you for wasting my time and illegal use of my information which you have never been given a right to. I am not on the saleable list of the electoral role due to the work i do, I am registered with TPS for landline and mobile and yet you stil persist. You do not have rights over my information. I do. I ask one last time for youu to remove my details from your system permanently. If you do not email me back to the affirmative within 48 hours of this post i wil go th afore mentioned governing bodies and make complaint against you.
