Just had a call from this mob and they are now offering it as Sapphire Members Discount Club as the "NEW" trading name but web site www.sapphiremembers.com still states 'Me Club'. Was offered the £20 diesel voucher but wanted £1 to cover postage. I didn't give bank details as I wanted to check it out first. I'm so pleased I did! Caller was Danielle and she gave a contact number of 0844 567020. From everyone else's comments its best not to get involved!!

Was called on mon march 18th by someone called Amy saying I was to receive a £20 fuel voucher and free magazine. I had a 14 day cool off period to cancel the membership or pay £79.99 for full membership. As of now thurs march 21st there is no magazine or fuel voucher. I was given a contact number, ref no and ID number. I have rang and rang but to no avail and sent e-mails. I have called my bank who have now blocked my card.

yes I was taken in by a call from a very beilievable girl from this company.Sounded pretty good £1.00 for a £20.00 petrol discount.Got magazine yesterday 14/03/2013 realised not for me so tried to ring to cancel as girl said iI had 14 days to cancel.Tried both telephone numbers 08006696480/08445671020 only to be told call could not be taken& then cut off. Tried again in afternoon again both numbers this time a womans voice came on the line then was told call could not be taken & again was cut off.
thought I would e-mail company only to find this sight saying it was all A BIG SCAM.
Checked my bank account .They have taken £1.00. Rang my bank staight away & have put a block on my bank card &account.Hopefully they wont be able to get the £79.99.
WILL WARN ALL   FRIENDS & FAMILY NOT  TO GET TAKEN IN BY THESE SCUM.

I have just had similar experience and unfortunately given my details. Have no idea why I lapsed - was woman's soft voice and the fact she's called a few times when I've been putting my children to bed, so felt like I owed her for putting her off all those times. Anyway - is there any official body we can call to?

If you're thick enough to give cold callers your data and not just hang up you're probably too thick to complain about it or find out where you can. Learn from it.

I was scammed out of £79.99 and after I realised it I wrote to the CID in Cardiff complaining of theft as well as writing to the various other bodies referred to in earlier posts.  Result : my £79..99 taken on the 8th March this year was refunded on the 26th March.  I'd still like to see everyone involved in this blatant theft being prosecuted.

just got a call from this number saying i am intitled to a £20 voucher for diesel to put in my car, and all it will do is cost me a £ for the postage, i told them im not giving my card details over the phone and i dont want to hear from them again and i out the phone down, 5 mins later they rang back trying to make me change my mind, i got a angry and told the lady straight i am not interested, and to stop calling, i told her i was on this site and that a lot of people have been writting there experiences with the company and that its not good, and all she could say was are you sure it is us, of course it is them, the ME magazine apparently i did a survey not that i did, so not to be trusted, as you would give them your card details thinking great its only a £1 and im getting a voucher which you wont and then next thing you know they are taking alot more out of your bank then the £1 you thought they were.....

If anything is too good to be true then its gotta be a scam.  I remember answering a Sapphire survey then got a call last night saying I've got a petrol voucher £25 and a magazine but need to pay £1.  If you have won something then nobody should be asking you for money regardless of the amount.  I told a fib and said my card had been stolen and was waiting for another one.  I then check today to confirm it was a scam.

To be honest I'm surprised they can do anything!  I've had 3 phone calls in half an hour today from these "people" all asking for Mrs Hanson (that's my Mum - I'm dog-sitting at the moment) and I said "I'm sorry she's not in", "When's the best time to call"?  "She won't be back for 2 weeks" (privately the house won't be empty at any point), the phone was slammed down.  Second time "She's not in" - slammed the phone down on me, and then the same woman rang - "You've just rung me twice and I've told you she's not available".  "Oh, we'll ring back TOMORROW!!!!  Oh go away!!

Just like you I too have been scammed I lost my dad to cancer in August last year so felt I was doing my bit to help the charities, they took two payments of £1 supposedly for postage and even after going to my bank to try and stop them taking any more they managed to take the £79.99 ,all the numbers that you try and call are either busy or answering machines.....apart from feeling like the biggest mug in the world right now how low will these people stoop to get money and use cancer as their bait to reel us in 😢
