4 missed calls in 2 days, all thin air

Been getting calls from this number for ages i keep ignoring it they keep ringing!! I am currently on my 8th call from them in 3 weeks

I've received 6 calls in 3 days, nobody on the other end when I answer. Suspect their autodialler is working way ahead of the staff available to take the calls.

I have just spoken to Halifax, this is the number that calls you when your account goes into arrears-you haven't payed your credit card bill.

Had several calls from this number, if I answer, it appears dead, so now I just reject it when it comes up

Just had a call they said it was the HALIFAX i asked which department ,Credit card,loan,or Bank account, the phone went dead!!

just had a call from this number the man didn't say anything else just my husbands name when i said he was at work,  the man didn't say anything else just put the phone down on me.

Got 2 calls from them today, saying they were from halifax (which is my bank). I refuse to give personal details to cold-callers, so the first one said they'd send me a letter, and the second one gave me a number to call back. I checked this out with Halifax customer services, Halifax head office and Halifax collections department and none of them had any record of either this number, the number i was given to call, or any reason they might want to contact me, and basically commended me for not giving out the details - although no clue if they're going to investigate further.

I have been receiving calls from this number for past 4 days, they called me at 9.00pm today! they want me to know my date of birth, when I asked them what is regarding they refuse to give me any more details but wanted me to confirm my DOB!

just had this number call me so i rejected the call! thanks for the head up will just keep rejecting it. looks like they are at it again

I've just been called from this number - saying they were from Hailfax and wanted me to confirm my postcode. I said 'I'm not going to do that' and they hung up with no further explanation.  I'm going to report it to the Halifax.

08445811015 & 02031035180 when you call them back it says 'you have been called by HBOS' They will not go away or leave a message so if they were halifax they would leave a message for you to call them back. Very annoying.

My wife keeps getting this call. I have checked at work and we are not using this number to call customers. Any genuine department of HBOS has security as its most important feature. Say you are not happy to speak to them and you will phone the bank direct and they can put you through to the relevant department. Request they put it in writing and hang up.

Hi,
You can stop this stupid company by blocking them with BT, "choose to refuse" service. This is free for 28 days, (normally enough time for them to give in!).
You should cancel this free service before 28 days or you will then get charged.
Sorry didn't ask the costs.
To enable this service, dial 100 (operator) ask for nuisance calls service and they will tell you exactly what to do. I found them very helpful.
These other numbers are used by this company so block them all.

What would happen if personal info is given to these people? what can they do with it?

I got a call from this number: 08445811013 this afternoon and yesterday twice and 3 or 4 times last month (from a different but similar number). i keep rejecting their calls but they seem to be unstoppable!! I don't want to have to pay for not getting calls from these annoying ******* - what should i do?

Got 2 missed calls from this phone number. 3rd time they got thru to me . guy called Imran advised he was ringing from Sainsbury Bank regarding a personal banking matter ?? i advised i didnt bank with Sainsburys (but i do have a credit card with them).He only asked for my postcode and year of birth so i gave it as i was not divuling all my full details. turns out my credit card was in arrears ! glad they rang me as apparantly they block your credit card if it falls behind and i was gonna use the card abroad in the usa within 3 days. paid the guy over the phone & set up direct debit so that i'm never late again. have to say the guy was very professional. asked him if its normal practice to ring if in arrears and he advised yes after 4 days arrears they use a autodialler to ring all their overlimit & arrears customers from their office in leeds.

i answered the phone earlier today an was asked by a woman to speak to my mum  - i asked who it was (HALIFAX) and told her she was out when my mum returned later i answered the phone a second time and this time a foreign man asked to speak to my mum and i asked who it was and he said calling from HALIFAX. i went to get my mum but told her i thought it was suspicious cos it took a long time for anyone to speak when i answered the phone and the people both times sounded quite rude when asking for her.

when my mum came to the phone the first thing the man said to her was - can you tell me your postcode please!!! no hello or anything!!! so my mum was very firm and said 'no - i never asked you to call me so don't call again'!!!

BEWARE!!!!!

Have had 4 calls a day for the last 4 days, someone claiming to be from BOS. Have phoned BOS twice and they confirmed it is not one of their numbers and they have taken me off their marketing list but their still phoning. Their even trying to phone me at my parents and I havent lived there for years and BOS don't have that number anyway!

they call my house every day, yesturday it was an asian voice and today it was an american, they sound like there stood in a bus stop making these stupid calls, feckin eejits, defo a scam

had 4 calls today from this number....Wanted various security details and i gave them all false ones...Then they rang off
