I have had a number of calls from this number, someone did leave a voicemail saying my name then saying it was halifax then they hung up!

not sticking up for them but yes they do call although they usually leave a message the peson you spoke to is wrong-ive had a call from them because i missed a payment althoughi said i would ring them back as i dont give out details to people who ring me

woman rang said she was from the halifax and said she was looking for rosie bedford .i asked her to take my number off the list...i hung up

its deffo halifax, ring all sorts of times

got a call from this number today, left message saying hi this is halifax, then it went onto an automated message halfway through a number asking me to call them back.  which i wouldnt be even if i had the number.

I received a call from 08445811014 this morning on my answer phone. The message wasn't clear enough to understand who it was from and it then cuts over to an automated message requesting a call back on 08456044431. The quality of the message and clarity of the recorded message made me suspicious so I looked it up.

There seams to be a number of opinions and I too could think of no debt that I owed. However, I recently have take out a Sainsburys credit card and on checking found that my direct debit had not been set up correctly and I had therefore, unknowingly, missed the payment. I did not phone either of the above numbers but spoke to Sainsburys bank directly to sort this matter out.So, if you do get a call from this number, it may be worth checking your finances just in case something did go wrong with a payment and this is, potentially, a legitimate call.

I had a call from the same number. Left mess saying the they were from Halifax and for me to call back. Also heard road noise in the background. so knew it was a fraud call.

just had a call asking for robin bedford on my work phone!

I got a call twice now from 08445811014 the first said "This is a call for Mark to ring Sainsbury's"  the second left a message also saying it was for Mr (scrabbled name) then after both these calls another lady comes on and tells you the opening times for them.

i get them ringing mobile and home number, they too have said its halifax it so is not as they dnt harrass pll like that as use to have an account with them. these numbers i dnr reconqise as all.....

recieved a miss call from and a voicemail saying to call halifax.luckily didnt call back on the number i recieved the voicemail off.halifax have told me its a scam and they are not halifax. how do these people know we are with halifax and know our 4ne numbers??? do halifax sell them our details???

Its halifax collections department (so an account in arrears - Credit card or loan)

Been ignoring this number when it appears on my desk phone at work because I had figured it was an automated dialler. Today I answered it and the lady said she was from Sainsburys Bank looking for a previous owner of my internal extension number. After declining to provide this individual's new extension number I finally got her to agree to remove my number from their dialler.

Spot on. It is Halifax collections.

they rang me and asked me for my dob and postcode and when i said i couldnt give them the information over the phone they said they would write to me if it was inconvenient.  I wont hold my breath for that letter though. They said they were from the Halifax!!!!

My colleague gets calls through to work extension on a weekly basis asking for a former colleague who left the company 5 years ago. When my colleague informs the caller of this valuable update they hang up but still ring back again!

I called the number and it takes you through to a recorded message supposedly from HBoS. Has to be either sales or collections for Halifax, Bank of Scotland, or partners such as Sainsbury's.

Hahaha had a call from them today...sounded like a young lad sat in a pub!! I had a missed call yesterday from this number so Obv had a look on here first n realised it was them again. Had fun winding him up for a few minutes until he got pissed off n hung up hahaha idiot!!!
