I answered it this time, some women called Tracey, very bad line, asked me to confirm my post code, I said no not if you have just foned me, she said ohh ok then bye and hung up

They wont leave me alone, keep asking for my postcode etc, this time the women was VERY rude, what can i do?

Foned Halifax, she spoke to the fraud squad, but took that long I hung up

Very rude woman asking me to confirm my identity . When i refused , hung up on me. Have been getting silent calls all afternoon since.

Two calls this week - both at 15:10 and both asked for "Andrew Gold".  We have never heard of him and we have lived here for over 30 years.

Getting fed up of them now what can I do?

this is Fubars wife, we've been getting four calls a day now and my husband has asked nicely and nastily for them to leave us alone but to no avail. I sopke with Halifax (again) who said there's nothing they could do to help. Will contact my phone provider to get them to block all calls from these numbers!!!! Must be a satisfying days work for these people (not)

there getting me down now, I told them last night they had the wrong number and the women got really snotty with me :(

Received 2 calls today - first was silent, second was an Southern Irish-accented woman asking for my details in order to discuss a 'personal business-related matter' or some such. When I said no, she said a letter would be sent with more information(!) Really hoping this is the last I hear of this...

I have reported this number to both Ofcom and Halifax. There is still the remote possibility that the calls are for a genuine reason and are just being handled exceptionally badly. For one, they are calling outside the legally permitted hours.
I would advise you to check which financial products you have through Halifax and call their customer services direct; it seems that these people may have recieved your details initially because of some type of arrears.
It does still sound to me though that this is a scam so don't give out any info'!

had many calls at least 2 to 3 times every other day, they never leave a message! dont want to answer in case of bogus caller but I am soooooooooo annoyed!!! why cant these people be reported and stopped!

I am receiving around 6 calls a day from this number (08445811014)each time that I answer they just hang up,then when I try calling I get an automated message saying that a representitive called and they will call me back which is very annoying and also worrying.When I typed the number into google I got the link for https://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/08445811014 which has now resolved the problem as many people are saying that it is the halifax I can confirm that this is CORRECT!As when I called the halifax TWO of the halifax employees confirmed that it was the halifax eventually I got put through to a 3rd member of halifax staff,,THEN WHEN MADE MY COMPLAINT SHE DENIED THAT IT WAS THE HALIFAX NUMBER THAT HER NUMBER WAS 08708501291

Margaret, i too have been in undated with calls from this number. On several occasions have been spoken to very rudely by the callers when i refuse to verify certain details. If you listen very carefully to their introduction they actually state they are calling 'on behalf ' of the Halifax. They say it so quickly that you miss the behalf bit and just register the Halifax name. Just another damn marketing company with exceptionally rude and inconsiderate staff trying to sell something that nobody really wants. Beware!!!!!

Just had a call from this number telling me it was the Halifax bank and if I could verify my name and address and date of birth etc.The call was from long distance and the voice sounded of african/carribean accent. I told them that I wouldn't answer personal questions over my mobile phone regarding banking and to post anything to me! I was immediately aware that this call was probably bogus. Please be aware as anyone could easily give out their details and be trusting. Do not help them!!

once again 10 mins ago I recevied another call I was sick and fed up of seeing this number so I decided to answer but no one replied. I am receving at least 4 or 5 missed calls a day during the day and at night but no one has admitted to saying they are from the Halifax and I am sick of my phone ringing and seeing this **oody number !!!

Its funny some ppl say when they get a call, its claimed to be from halifax because i am actually with the halifax bank, maybe our details are being leaked out of the system to scammers? this takes the P*ss! im changing banks!

This is a total scam. Con artists who are after your personal details in order to further their nefarious activities.
NEVER DIVULGE ANY PERSONAL DETAILS TO THEM!
These are unsolicited calls and are totally fraudulent.

I have been phoned 4 times in the past 2 days by this number.  They claim to be Halifax bank but as with the other comments here they refused to deal with me unless I gave them my postcode and date of birth.  I got in quite heated discussions with them but no way I was giving any details.  They gave me an 087 number to ring them back - no way the bank will have this premium number to call.  Reading this I am glad I held my ground.
