They keep calling my home and mobile - 3 times a day to each.  The one and only time there was someone at the other end they said they were Bank of Scotland (halifax).  It a scam of some sort.

Had a couple of calls from this number. Answered two no response and no one there. No marked under 'junk' in phone book.

Won't be answering again.

They have been calling me several times a day on both my landline and mobile. As I don't know who they are I don't answer, plus they don't leave a message! I did answer on about the 2nd time of calling just for the line to go dead.

I am a customer with the Halifax, but i don't think they offer great customer service.

They called me twice today, one just after 12pm, I answered but they hung up, and called me again when I was going home just after 5. I never answered though cause it never sounded like something a professional company would do. Im gonna call the bank now to see how my details got leaked.....

I keep getting calls from this number - phoned it back and voice message says that it's First Assist.  Went to their web site, emailed them and told them never to phone me again.  Seems to have worked

These people have called me four times now claiming to be from the halifax asking for personal details.  First 2 times I declined and they said they would send me a letter.  Then I got suspicious and rang back to get some dodgy message that quite clearly wasn't the halifax.  Next time they called I asked what department of the halifax they this person was from and after dodging the question a few times claimed to be from the Collection Department!  Knowing this was copmplete Bol***ks I said that I worked at the Halifax and that there was no such department.  She then told me that even if I did work at the Haifax I wouldn't know about such a department.  At this point I let rip on them saying I knew they wern't from the haifax and that I was going to call the police at at which they told me they would keep ringing until I answered their questions.

I have been into the Halifax and they don't know who these peole are.  This is a complete SCAM.  Do not answer their security questions under any circumstances.

Just got a missed call from this number. Hope someone catches these SCAMMERS soon before they SCAM some poor unsuspecting old dear.

i had 2 calls from them this morning, i rang back and a msg was played which said "thank you for calling, one of our representitive will be with you shortly, please hold".
to be honest it sounded like a cockney person trying to speak in a business manner

I just received a call from them asking me to confirm my details - which is pretty non-standard.

They assured me that it wasn't a sales call but was a genuine business call... whatever that means!

Told them to write to me if they had my address... then hung up...  pain in the @$$

Just had two missed calls from this number, called back but line is just ringing. They called again and the guy said hello (he sounded very far away, almost tunnel like) then the line went dead. I will not be answering anymore judging by some of these comments, I'm not related to Halifax, BOS or First Assist!!

I think you all need to stop being ridiculous! Go and speak to the Halifax and tell them to take you off their marketing lists! You obviously did not tick the box to say you do not want to be contacted. First Assist are a very reputable company, and are only contacting you because the HALIFAX have GIVEN them your details. This is the 21st century - don't be a neanderthal!!

This is a serious issue, why would my local BOS branch and the HBOS online fraud team both confirm this is not one of their numbers?  Further to this, why would they advise not to give over any details?  Perhaps because, as most people are saying, THIS IS A SCAM!

I hope in your naivety you have handed over all your details and your account is emptied.

it is the bank of scotland automated system that generates the call, and if you answer the phone, one of there representatives will ask for you by name, but they should say where there from. If the phone is put down it is because no advisers are free after the automatic computer dial up. Phone your credit card/bank account to inform them to stop. It is usually if you have missed or are late on a payment even if you have told them the reasons why. I have confirmed this three times with them and it is the outbound number they use and it is different to the imbound telephone number. It is not a scam it is just bad customer service!!!!

Four to five phone calls on saturdays & sundays, early hours of morning (well tooo early for a sunday anyway!) leaving no message on mobile phone when calling from 08445811014 and calling home phone using no. 02031034000 - checked 1471.  Cannot discuss what this "urgent matter" regards without going through security with me first.  Said it regatrds my halifax account - I said I do not have one and for them to put it in writing and requested PLEASE DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN.  They rang within an hour once again.

Got a call from them today. Answered it and they said they were from Sainsburys Bank, after completely mispronouncing my name. Sounded like one of those Indian call centres that no one can understand.

Listen. It isnt Halifax, my THIRTEEN YEAROLD SON has been getting these calls! Is anyone trying to tell me he hasnt been paying his depts? ^_^
