this number has called me about 7 times in the last 3 days some times just hanging up, when the talk they ask me to confrim my date of birth and address (which i dont do)but they say they have important info on my account i looked on my halifax paper work but the phone number doesnt match, a con i think dont give any details.

Iv had this number call me twice today, i was at work so i missed the call. I have just tried to call the number back off a landline and it said one of our representatives has tried to call and will call back and sounded quite important. After looking on here at the comments i dont think i'll be running out of the office to take the call!

did you know it is illegl for any one who is chasing debt to call you more than 3 times a day. anymore than that and you can report it!!!

I received 3 calls from this number to my mobile yesterday - each time I picked up the line went dead.  i called them back and a recorded message said "thank you for calling - our representative will call you back" but didn't say who they were.  Got one more call this morning - still nobody there.  PLEASE STOP CALLING ME YOU ARE DRIVING ME INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i never answer these numbers as i work for a mobile company and people always call up annoyed due to high bill charges.
I'll answer it next time and shout cos i know they're not halifax. Thats who i though it was. Quite handy this web page innit!!?!

Even if its halifax they shouldnt ask you all these details, because they have already got them

Keeps calling

I've had at least three calls a day for the last month from this number and even when i talk to them and tell them not to call anymore they just put the phone down.  What can i do to get rid of them and where did they come from.

im always at work when they ring me and never leave a message when i get home they ring again i must off been rung 25 times in one day

had 3 calls from this no today , whoever it is does not wait for the phone to be picked up, gat same message as others who have had the same problem

Just found out this is from Sainsburys bank, so seems to be a collection company acting on behalf of c c s, banks etc, thats prob why accents are strange, calling centres taking on work of harassing people. Ive just spoken to them, and  they say once system is updated, provided you have made contact , they stop, so good luck everyone !!!!!!!

getting several calls from this number each day. Having read some earlier posts about this being from Halifax, I checked my credit card and noticed that I too have accidently missed a payment on Halifax credit card.
I guess Halifax have given my details to this company to pester me!

See my earlier post. The agilysis web site has phone numbers for the various call centres so if they are calling too often try using one of those numbers. Their website confirms that Halifax/HBOS is one of their "customers".

I'd be most interested to know why they are disturbing and harrassing me as I don't bank with any of the banks mentioned previously in this thread.

I've previously had hassle from HSBC who call incessently when payments are beyond a day late but theirs is a very different number.

Anyone contacted OFCOM or similar about this or know what the legal position is?

Very annoying and unprofessional whoever they are.

Been called several times by these people claiming to be the Halifax, I do not have this number registered with my bank, so I'm wondering where they got my number????

3rd call before they got me in... "private business matter" requested details to confirm who you are. "From Halifax". I didn't give details. Call ended with "we'll keep calling"

Checked with halifax, no record of such a number etc, no notice on the account so customer service had no idea why they might be trying to get in touch; which is a bit poor if halifax are genuinely giving the numbers out (as it seems like they must be).

After googling the number and getting partway through this thread, I then checked and found I also had indeed missed a credit card payment.

Frequently call.  Asking for our daughter.  When explain that we are registered on TPS and ask them if they have checked then they hang up after a period of silence.

Received (at the moment) four calls from 08445811014 from people claiming to be from the Halifax. They were stupid enough to call very early when clearly even the Halifax would not call. They asked for personal security information which of course was not given.

They call me several time a day but when i pick up the call no one answer.
By boyfriend answer for me and they asked him about me pretending to be from Halifax.
I do not have any Halifax account!
