Call a few times each week - Silence, if you hold on for approx. 5 sec then get a recording that says "goodbye", then it hangs up

Got the same - no message left

We got the same twice today. Can anything be done?

Yes report it to Ofcom they will take down any details you have on this type of calls also silent calls with number with held as this type of calling has been banned and they will arrange to monitor your calls to locate and prosecute ALL offenders.

Left message saying it was a sales call and don't need  to do anything, offered option1 to enter my number for taking off the call list, beware it puts you in a loop saying dial1.....robbing bas***ds

fed up with these calls no one at other end is it a scam?

We have telephone preferance so shouldn't get this call !!!!

Said calling from a company called 'Redress' regarding recent change in legislation regarding loans. Let her rattle on a bit then asked if she'd heard of TPS, She said yes she had and was I on it, to which I replied of course I am, that's why I mentioned it. She just ignored that carried on with her sales patter! I interrupted her and demanded that they delete my number from their records, then hung up.

7pm caller from company called redress much the same as last entry. hung up before they had a chance to prattle on.

I got exactly the same call yesterday, she actually said that my name and telephone number had been pass onto them from another company who said I needed help.  When asked which company she couldn't let me know that information.  I am also with TPS so have told her that if there are anymore calls come through from them I will report them to the Information Commissioner's Office for them to start legal proceedings.  Watch this space we will see what happens.

Had a call from this number last night and this morning.  Redress Claims they said they were and she got as far as telling me that due to a change in ...... before I cut her off and advised her I was a member of the TPS and this was a cold call.  I asked her to take my number of their list because if I got anymore calls, I'd be complaining via the TPS and Direct Marketing Association.

Doubt it will do any good but worth a try,

Got call from this number with a company called Redress, let her prattle on as said it was about reclaiming credit cards and could get all my balances written if, if I paid 395 to their solicitor which of course be written off. Asked her to send details in writing - she swiftly ended the call, didn't even get chance to tell her about TPS

got a call from this number at 10.27 this morning,   checked it out on the internet and it seems that it is a shared cost call.

Called about 6.30pm, got through to a pushy salesman, strung them along for 20 minutes of their bill before hanging up! Lol

More or  less  as  the  above  messages -  get  called  then  sometimes silence  or going on  about loans wrong  advice  etc. though we are  registered not to  receive  nuisance  calls - BT  should  sort  it  out.

this crowd have called 15 times in 4 days . Rang at 3 in the morning got the whole family out of bed could not get our 2 year old back to bed can any one give any help. No one the other end they just hang up after you answer.

Had two calls from this number today. The first was a recorded female voice saying "hello" and the second, four hours later, was the same recorded voice saying "goodbye". Having registered with TPS, I'm a bit bemused about how these sorts of calls can get through to my number.

Have complained to TPS about these cretins. Would encourage others to do the same.

Idiots... I let them listen to some music ad pretended I was on hold... whilst surfing the net hahaha... 30min they are still waiting.....
