We have received at least 8 or 10 calls from these people EVERY DAY for the last 3 or 4 weeks now! and we are registered with TPS.  I am getting completely brassed off with them.  When I answer its either silent or a ring tone, but when someone did speak and I said I wasn't interested she still carries on talking!!! so just put the phone down.  Also will not answer again if, as one of the other posts has said, we also get charged for the calls.

I've been getting calls from this number for weeks, sometimes a few times per day. The last time I answered it a woman said she was from 'Money Made Easy' which I'm sure is different to what they called themselves the first time they called me but I can't remember what it was then.

I have caller display so their number is listed on it as SPAM to stop me bothering answering it. I do answer occasionally - just to ask them to stop calling! The woman I spoke to last time (a few days ago) was actually very friendly and polite and sounded most apologetic when I told her I was sick of the calls from them, especially because I'm registered with TPS, and agreed to get my number off their list. Today they called again.

I'm now reporting them to the TPS and the Information Commissioners Office and encourage others to do the same using the web links below.

I must point out though - the TPS laws are regarding SALES calls. Companies like this one usually get around it by saying they aren't trying to sell you anything (as in a item) they are just offering a service to you. Another thing some companies do is use overseas call centres - which also isn't covered by the TPS (don't think this company does, but just thought it was worth mentioning) Still worth complaining though I reckon and hopefully these 'loopholes' may get closed if enough people complain.

Well that's odd! I came here from Googling the number that had called me repeatedly for weeks and mentioned in my previous post that the lady said she was from 'Money Made Easy'. A few minutes ago I got a call that came up as 'unknown' and when I answered it, I was told it was James from Redress Claims - which is the same name of the company that has been mentioned on here by other people using the same number as I had from the 'Money Made Easy'.

I told him to stop reading his script for a minute as he rattled on with the usual opening lines (he claimed he wasn't reading from a script) and told him I had already asked to be removed from the list (he claims they have never called me). I then asked him to remove my number from the data base to which he replied no...but then it cut off - so I'm not sure if he was actually saying 'NO' or 'no problem' but cut himself off too quickly.

I've now emailed redress claims and told them that as I have now told them verbally and in writing to remove my number, any further calls will be regarded as harassment and I will report them to the ISO and any other relevant agencies.

I do realise that the callers are just doing their job by the way, and there's plenty of unemployment at the min so any job is better than nothing, so it's the company that I'm annoyed with not the people who call.

I meant the 'ICO' above, but couldn't see how to edit it!

Decided to answer today as we've been getting 3-4 calls everyday from this number for months now.

Cut off the caller as soon as she said anything and told her I was not interested and that we'd told them that months ago. She asked if I knew what they were phoning for, so I just said yes, even though I have no idea what they are offering, and told her to remove my number from their lists.

I'm just sick of them calling, so hopefully they will now get the message and remove me from their system as requested.

I found a blank message on my answering machine and checked the number, it was 08446 882753. The call was left at about 12.15pm, Thursday 7 April 2011. I didn't call back as the number was unfamiliar.

Have now had this call from Redresss several times in a week and each time quoted TPS to them.  Today i am going to lodge a complaint with TPS.

several calls from this number with just a hang up, sometimes twice daily, we shouldn't be getting these calls as we are registered to block nuisance calls....but still they get through.

Have at least 3 calls a day from this number, with no one there most the time.

Have rung me several times today silence when answered then couts off after 20 secs or so.

The computer from Redress has ring my home 33 times today alone and has driven my wife and I up the wall.

I am aware of this company which is regulated by the Ministry of Justice who will deal with any complaints with regards to the quality of any company that offers any financial services compensation.

have repeatedly told these people politely to stop calling and to remove my name from their data base.  They have continued to ignore it ringing every hour on the hour (I'm sure just to annoy me).  Have made a complaint to the TPS but I fear they are just a toothless organisation :O(

This number called me today, silent except for the fact that for at least 15 minutes after the call the other party would not put their phone down blocking my phone line.  Playing the same old sad music over and over again.

Call received 6.35 pm.  No intention of calling back because it appears to be a mobile therefore expensive, so left wondering who the hell has the impertinence to ring and hang up when we answer.  No time for these idiots at all!!  Just a waste of time and space.

It calls regularly and no one speaks.Not fussy about the hours they ring either.

15 min between their calls today just a dialing tone - a real pain !

A few seconds of silence after I picked up the phone suggested it wa a call centre of some sort so I cut the call as soon I heard someone speaking.

Does this compnay have anything to do with " wefightanyclaims.com " ?  I had a call from redress on fri 15th april, not had any calls before from them or any one else about using " a little known new goverment legislation to get money wrote off card & Loan", I politly refused any help, then get a call from we fight any claims.com (08448569042) about the same subject. Is this genuine or just a bit too much of a coincidence ?

I got this number from 1471. When I picked up the receiver there was no one there so I replaced the receiver. My wife picked up the phone to make a call and found good (for a telephone) classical music being played. This went on for about 5 minutes. Did not cancel when the phone was put down.
