just  had a call from this nos.  could not cut it off at first,,,,did not take part and did not press 9. eventually after a few moments it did cut off. don't know where its from

Call asking to do servey, but put phonr down, did a 1471 afterwards it was ups.com after doing a Google on the number

I got the same message about a survey to do with electrical items and their energy rating... sunday afternoon at 5.54 pm... do they never stop??? the number is also 02031309833... the voicemail on my phone had the number 0203......(as above) but when I pressed 1471 on my phone to check the last number calling me the number was 0845..... (as above). It's very strange.. and annoying!!

Pressing the No 9 on most business calls then hanging up allows the caller to dial any number they want and you are charged. They tend to dial a preium number that they own and run up a massive bill for you.

Never Press the number nine button on your phone as this allows a vast numbers off Scam companys to dial any telephone number and you are charged for this call. This is the reason that after you hang up and pick the phone up within a couple off minutes they are still there. They are using you phone line and you are being charged and there is no way you can terminate the call.
They tend to dial a premium rate number so the 1st thng you now is when you receive your bill !!!!

A recorded voice asking me to take part in a survey, at that point I hung up. About 10 minutes later I called 1471 and got the no 08450304400

I was having a miserable day after receiving a call from 08450304400, until I read your posting on this site, LOL - I nearly paid my licence fee again in advance - I split my sides with mirth, thank you for cheering me up.  I have changed my telephone number recently because of nuisance calls and guess what - I have inherited a number which receives more calls than my previous one!  The amazing thing is that Sky have said that this number has not been used in the last six months - within 24 hours - I have been plagued with these nuisance calls.  These so called telemarketing companies should be charged the same rate as the 0113 prefix numbers which I have been told cost more than GBP 1.00, then they will not have such liberal and free access to do their unsolicited/cold calling etc?????????.  Communication Providers are not only losing landline customers hand over fist, but are freely allowing telecom cheats and scammers all and sundry!  Oh for God's sake... wake up CPs... freedom of speech is costing you plenty!!doh!!  All other forms of marketing are dead because of cost SO WHY CAN'T YOU STOP FREE CALLS and in particular, international ones at the sametime... PERIOD!!!!!!!!!

Just had a call from this number, when I picked it up it was a recorded message for market research - ARRRAGGGHHH!!!!

I got an automated voicemail message from this number, asking me to change my energy supplier to them and be entered into a competition to win £50 - wye, hey! id not give it any thought until I got my bill from TalkTalk and have been charged for the "pleasure" of listening to the voicemail message. On calling TT it would seem they cannot do anything about these types of calls nor refund me. What is Oftel doing about it?

Just had a call from this number - same as everyone else I couldn't get rid of it.  When I did a 1471 this number showed up,  

It looks like it's been going on for some time so why hasn't anything been done about them?  I'm really annoyed,

Definately a bunch of cowboys.

Recieved an automated survey call.  Basically taped set of questions that it asks you to respond to tried to disconnect the line.  Was forced to enter something to get my phone line back.

Issues 1 - I am ex directory how did they get my number?
Issue 2 - I am registered with TPS - why are they still calling me?
Issue 3 - 1471 didn't work -  I understand this contravenes the marketing code of conduct.

30 mins later I recieve a call from Christies Kitchins.  Ask where they got my number and they tell me it was from Curved Air Global. They were happy to give me Curved Air Details but not their own, i.e. address, directors name, person calling me last name, etc....

It is disgusting what these companies can get away with.  I will be making formal complaints about both.

I opted out of this back in April (see page 5) but it didn't stop them calling me again today.

Was called this morning - have caller display and it was 08450304400, rather than the usual nusciance calls from overseas, which say WITHELD and left to witter on to the answer machine. So, I picked  up the phone.  A very clear scottish female voice, claiming to be Kirsty was conducting an energy survey and thought it was a genuine person on the other end. As we are  with TPS  I thought it might be connected with recent purchase of PV solar panels.
As the call continued it became apparent that it was  a recording and when told to press 9 to not take part and avoid further calls I did this and then immediately hung up.  
I just hope that from reading comments above we're not going to be stung with an enormous bill.
My neighbour also had a similar call this week..

Sent them a Section 10 Notice instructing them to cease processing my data.

Third time I have reported this to the TPS, and nothing done.

I am sick to death of these calls...more so the silent ones
