Same thing here... a Scottish automated voice doing a survey on electrical items, energy efficiency etc etc. I just didn't respond and it gave up eventually :-)

having a browse on their facebook page brings up 2 other numbers, that are not listed on their site. better to annoy them directly rather than through their serviced office reception.

And even if I were not, why should I waste MY time fannying about pressing keys in response to YOUR pointless slaes surveys dressed up as marketing when you can't be honest enough to tell your clients that you're a hollow outfit who are all gloss and no content. Bet there are more ponytails in your circus than brain-cells, lol

But continuing to contact them when they have asked to be removed is. Remove folk who wish to be removed immediately and you'd not lose clients who don't want to have their brands associated with such a ramshackle bunch of fools.

Curved Air Global Manchester should be ashamed of themselves as should Ofcom and BT for doing nothing to stop these inept fools causing so many problems to so many people!

1) This does NOT work

2) You are inviting people who have been spammed by Curved Air Global Manchester to call an 0845 number which you know to be more expensive than a regular geographic number to cancel your spam calls. Nice scam! On most mobile tariffs this is very expensive. Displays a lack of integrity.

3) Why not provide an 0800 number, or shall we just all ring your office on 0161 233 7070 like I had to to bawl out you inept time and cash thieving wasters?

It seems that Curved Air Global Manchester not adhere to strict OFCOM guidelines, so if you are a client reading this, do you really wish to sully your brand with theirs?

Just got one of these calls from the 'Scottish' lass, and as I too am a scottish lass, thought it would be a legitimate local company.  Oh how wrong can I be!  The thing that really annoys me is the fact that, if you don't catch the call there-and-then to press the opt out 9, then WE have to pay for the 1471 to find the number AND then phone the 0845 to 'opt out'. I already had to phone the number twice as I missed thier full company name the first time.
Ofcom should outlaw these people who are robbing us of our valuable money without us even realising it.  These Chancers should be reported to the police as this is nothing short of bullying, stalking and pickpocketing!
Mind you the really stupid people are the ones who call from an office and, as one of the above pointed out, it's great to just leave the phone unattended and start hoovering, turn your music up loud or make any other 'pottering about' noise until they do hang up.  Either that or ask them lots and lots of dumb questions as it's their company's phone bill and they have no idea what to say when not allowed to read from their 'script'.  Winding these guys up can be great fun....especially when they forget to dial 141 so you then phone them back and spook the hell out of them....which also uses up one of their outgoing lines.  Yeah, i know that costs me but I did it once and it was great.  Needless to say, the company that they say they are over the phone is never the same company when you do call back so always have your pen and paper at the ready.

If you have opted out of the system, you should not receive any more calls from Curved Air Global. We can only presume a technical error as to why you would receive more than one call.

We recognise the inconvenience caused to some of our clients customers, and are in the process of developing a new free to use web page to allow opt outs.

It would be fairer to issue an 0800 number than having to root through the hype on the CAG site, but is a very belated effort, as this issue has been going on for months, and only the bad publicity has shamed you into acting.

Technical incompetence in an aspect of your business which is core to your clients indicates a gross disregard for them.

The victims whom you spam with tedious telesales calls dressed as marketing hype so as to exploit the regulatory loopholes are also bored with your amateur antics and excuses.

As a previous poster said, if you are a client of CAG, beware, your reputation is diminishing as fast as theirs is!

(As for exploiting Scottish voices, this is presumably because your own accents are unintelligible and sound scam artist like...)

Had a call from this number today - scottish lady asking if we had bought electrical items with energy ratings - but it was just a recording. still annoying though especially as we are on the call preference list.

Companies House has recorded that they changed names yesterday, from "CURVED AIR COMMUNICATIONS LIMITED" to "HOT HOUSE ENERGY LIMITED", presumably because of all the bad publicity. Same spam calls, though.

i got a call from this number ALSO i just hung up

Company only commenced trading in April 2009 and has not yet filed accounts (which are now overdue at Companies House). There are two directors comprising William Duncan Taylor aged 58 and Diane Taylor aged 29 (presumably WDT daughter). DWT owns all of the shares in the company (which are a modest 100 £1 ordinaries). DWT is also involved with ten (!) other companies and a further 7 companies now dissolved - so "experienced" putting it kindly. His address is [removed] I haven't bothered/got the time to search his phone no. However Diane 's address is [removed]. Suggest that if people are bothered henceforth they phone either one of the directors and provide them with the benefit of a direct and personal response to their company's market research questionnaire.

What a load of rubbish! Opt out??? Yeah right - you ring from international, with-held AND 08450304400. If option 9 opts you out, then why on earth did I receive 13 calls today? I am on TPS and have filed a complaint!
