I received a call from this number on my mobile, it was from British Gas trying to sell me gas and electricity even though I am with another supplier. Very pushy sales technique would not take no for an answer. He said he was calling from india. Refused to sign up to THEM!

Ive been called about 6 times this week from 08450700827 I never answer but they keep calling -even called tonight at 8pm! Im starting to feel really harassed by this and agree that if it is an established company like British gas then they should send a letter-or at least leave a voice message! - as if I am going to trust what a complete random phone caller tells me!

I'm getting about 6 calls a day from this number, one day i made the mistake of letting it ring a couple of times then forwarding it too my answering machine.. after that they must have rang at least 8 times in the space of four hours! wish they would give up, im never going to answer thier phone call. surely this is harrassment?

Im getting 32-3 calls a day from this number which always end up as silent. I have in the past asked them to stop doing this. Starts up again in as few weeks. I have today, rang British Gas customer services, requested they delete my number from their records, we shall see if this works.
Refered it to TPA for action see if they can do something
Will in the future just keep call screening and ignore

i dont no who this is calling me but it calls me all day long every day.

12 calls from this number in the last 2 days. I take the trouble to answer but there's no one there!

This number rang me this morning and woke me up, i have been up all night with tooth ache.
I answered they didnt say anything, i am not impressed at all.

If they continue to ring they will most certainly be getting a piece of my mind!

I received a call from this number which immediately went dead. I free-phoned BG on 0800 1110000 and asked why I had been called. They said that I was on their list as I had - when a customer of theirs- consented to receiving offers this way, despite being on the TPS. I had to wait a while for phone to be answered but a perfectly polite Indian lady volunteered to get my number removed from their list - we shall see.

i was called by 08450700827 5 times in the past week, when i have managed to answer there is noone on the other end its really anoying, even more so whrn they ring in the early hours of the morning its driving me mad!!

I just received a call from them and as well as somebody up I googled it an found this site.
No terrible experiences about people waking me up at 3:00 or 4:00 a.m. but when I answered they said "May I speak to..." and then hang up.
I don't really know if this is from the British Gas but I definitely have no relation with them: none at all!!
Could we have an answer from someone who formerly work there and could tell us a bit more about regarding what are these calls?

Was previously a British Gas customer, and only switched back to them for electricity a couple of days ago (not for gas as Ebico is cheaper, but British gas is cheapest for electricity) and now I've received a couple of calls from them, though I've not answered, in all the time I was with them before they never phoned, wonder why now?

these people call me about 5 times a day and have done every day for a couple of weeks. I don't answer, they don't leave a message

try the old police remedy for nuisance callers. blow a whistle into the mouthpiece of your handset. should put a stop to it and clear the caller of earwax!!!

It is definitely British Gas, or a company outsourced by them. If you've ever had anything to do with them, they have your number. If you phone BG customer services on  0800 1110000 (free phone number!), they will remove your number from the system.

After receiving dead calls every 2 hours for the last 2 days, I hope this sorts it. Apparently they've had loads of complaints so maybe they'll stop using them soon. ALso they recommended calling 0845 0700828 to cancel your number with that company but phoning them should sort it...

British Gas, trying to get me to switch back to them after switching away from them. They contradicted themselves! saying they cannot lawfully automatically switch us to their cheapest tarriff as one comes available while they have a lawful unfettered discretionary right to increase our current tarriff even if we are still inside a minimum term contract that irrevokably binds the consumer to it. Contrary to Regulation 5(5) of the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations which protects consumers from the use of White Paper Contracts.

I've been getting missed calls for the past 2 weeks off the number 08450700827 but today at 4:02pm i answered and they were asking for a name which obviously was not mine and tried to argue with me about it! Finally he gave up haha. He also said it was British Gas, probably a scam.

This number keeps calling my mobile and hanging up before i get a chance to answer, i have never called it back as they probably make money from your call (scam maybe). It is getting very annoying now, i will most definately not be using British Gas ever again.
If everyone complains to Ofcom about this number they will sort them soon enough.
