They keep calling me too, average amount 3 times a day. It is begining to get to be a pain in the A**e....

Keep getting calls from this number 3 times a day but when I answer nobody is there!!  I don't have a British Gas account, but if it turns out to be them they are going to get a kick in the [***] from me.

If you call the number back, then it gives you a number to ring to Opt Out of these sort of calls with British Gas. I did it and they advised that it would take 28 days to take affect, so in 4 weeks I should get no more calls from them. Problem solved!

I keep getting calls on the house phone and my mobile. Starting to annoy me now. Used to be an employee there and left because i hated British Gas. Refuse to pick up the phone.

Have received a call from the number twice today - as soon as I answer they hang up . It is very annoying because on both occasions I was driving and hasd to  pull over to answer the call. Ifs British Gas - then they need their [***] kicked by ofcom.

08450 700 827 - this number calls me on my mobile and home phone. My mobile number is a private number is only known to a handful of people so how do they get hold of it even when it is logged with the TPS?

Am getting called by this number 2-3 times a day on my mobile. My mobile number is only known to family had friends, how did British Gas get hold of it. The one time I did actually answer there was no one there! Have very recently switched from BG to Scottish Power.  Good riddance to these tw*ts.  These calls are a right pain in the a*se.

Bristish Gas - the guy said his 'screen' showed that I was a customer of British Gas.  I told him to contact my landlord - he didnt know what to say next and hung up!

It's Britsh Gas on a new number! After getting bothered for weeks on 08450724696 and finally getting them to agree never to phone me they have now started on this new number! Now stored in my phone so I won;t answer again! I am still with Britch Gas but not for much longer...

I received calls from this number yesterday and today (26 February 2009).  Both times I happened to be near the phone, so answered it immediately within two rings, but both times it just rang off after a few seconds.  If it is British Gas, as stated on this website, then they are presumably committing an offence as I am not a British Gas customer and I have been registered with the telephone preference service for many years now to stop these calls.

Thanks for the warning about this number, I have just started getting calls today from it, two within two hours. I'll make sure I ignore them and certainly won't give over any of my bank details or address as they shouldn already have them surely!

...this is amazing, that's five calls I received now from this number since my posting an hour and 35 minutes ago - that's absurd!

I am getting up to ten calls a day from this company, they never leave a message, i have done 1471 then 3 and they are saying it is british gas. yes i am a british gas customer but i have a prepayment meter so why are they bothering me?

Just started receiving calls from this same number in the last 3 days, 5 times now at various times, including Sunday! No message is ever left. I typed the number into google and viola, here I am, and yes I applied to switch from British Gas just 10 days ago or so.

Surely if they have something important to say, they would leave a message :<

I have about 3 calls a day from 0845 0700827 - i used to not answer, but now I pick up the reciever and put it on the table and go into another room, i dont speak at all - this costs the firm calling time.

Had a missed call from this number so I phoned it back and they said it was BT, funny cos I stay at home with my parents and have nothing to do with BT so where have they got my number!!

im getting upto 4 calls a day. Either on my moblie or my landline. I want to know how they got my contact numbers. When ive called 1471 & returned the call it says its british gas. Also says if i dont want to get anymore calls call 0845 0700828..why should i, i didnt ask them poxy company to start phoning in the first place. ARRRGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got a call from this number earlier.  Ignored it - if its not on my mobile, it ain't important!

still getting calls after 61 days of cancelling by phoning 0845 0700828.
BG are a waste of space!!!
