Has been ringing 4 to 5 times a week , after reading this I won't be answering.

Got a call at 8.45 tonight, told them I'm TPS registered and then told him to f off! They rung again 5 minutes later and hung up after a couple of rings. I'm not even a private owner, I rent from a housing association, so if I needed insulation then it would be done free of charge anyway! They said they were called Nationwide something or other, I stopped listening!

I had a call from them too didn't answer it though and came on this website to see who it was. Thanks to the people who posted a note to not answer calls from them.

These lot always ask me if im Mrs Elliott, they call at least once a week and have done for a year. They asked me today if I was the home owner of somewhere Im not and then hang up. IDIOTS

Was phoned today despite being registered with TPS. Very unprofessional sounding call centre, lots of larking around in the background and rude pushy caller. Claims to be "Chief Grant Advisor" for local authority and attempts to gain various personal details. Won't take "not interested" for an answer so I had to hang up on him. Have complained to TPS.

Had a call today, he was not rude but very pushy saying only have two weeks to get free gov grant for roof installation and the rep was only in the area for this week, said not possible and despite repeating this he tried to push for somebody to call,  he gave his name as Chris Philips and a number of 0800 408 900 company website mes@uk.com !!!! rang my local council and company they recommend is NOT this company at all.  will not be taking them up on their very kind offer !!

This company called despite our being registered with TPS and ex-directory. Claimed to be an 'insulation grants officer' and asked for my housemate then continued with his spiel even after I had said he was out. From what he said the person obviously had our exact address.
Ofcom really needs to get a grip on people like this.

Whether this is what people call a scam or not, the idea of registering for TPS is to avoid getting annoying and unnecessary cold calls. I expect marketing companies to comply with that wish.
As regards grants, some years ago I responded to an advert in the local paper about a government funded grant for replacement window frames. The local council, who were administering the scheme, replied that they had run out of money and I would have to wait 2 years!
I doubt that this company is in a position to guarantee anyone a grant and must be taking its cut of any which are secured.

This number is a pain and should be removed and removed,they are a nuisance.

who is the above number? and I should not be getting marketing calls I am supposed to have barred numbers?

Have been receiving calls from this number for days!!! I actually picked up 5 minutes ago and as soon as I did........they hung up!! Rang back........no-one answers!! Pain in the backside!!
I am also registered with TPS.........for all the good it does!!

Call form "government energy help advisor" with chewing gum in his mouth, telling me their records show I'd missed out on government grants. Crap, told him to update his records.

just got a call from these clowns, they woke me up at 8:20, so as you can imagine, I told them where to go!!!

Rang me this morning on my work number - Said I wasn't interested to which the slag on the line said ' It is free you know ' - I was about to tell her no again and she hung up!!!!

Just got a call from them, first telling me that their records showed that I hadn't applied for a government insulation grant yet (pretty sure there are no such records, at least no any they would have access to) and then asking me, in a somewhat pushy way, why?
After asking which company he was calling from, and whether they were in the UK, I told them I was registered with the TPS and he apologised, saying that "sometimes" such numbers "slip through".
And at the same moment, a large swarm of pigs flew right over my house ... ;-)

I did 1471 today on my 89yr old mums phone (she has dementia) to find this company had rung her at 7.40pm last night. She could only remember that a man asked her if he could help her but she couldn't remember anything else. I registered her phone with TPS 3 years ago but it's not stopping calls like these getting through. She also has BT's Choose to Refuse but an automated message says it can't block this particular number (I assume that means it's coming from abroad). I'll complain to TPS about yet another cold call getting through but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

We have obtained compensation from this company for the nuisance caused by calls made to a TPS registered telephone number. I suggest that you read the TPS rules on their web site. You most certainly DO NOT have to re-register every six months. The registration remains extant until you cancel it.Your unresearched and totally incorrect comment makes stupid people look good.

0845 1113 111 rang me in the morning and asked if we have inslution done then cut off now i am trying to ring back but no one is answering

I answered immediately but there was silence then it disconnected. I am in TPS.
