None - I was unavailable at the time. If this is RTA then I normally respond "Road Traffic Accident?" and start acting confused - they soon go away!

Another call to my mobile todaywhich is at least 4 in the last couple of weeks. Any time I have been able to answer it's RTA services and they claim businesses in the area are looking o buy businesses like mine and they may be able to value my business. I just say "no" and hang up but clearly they are persistent and this amoutn of cold calling can only indicate one hing - SCAM!

Sick of this company calling every day of the week and because I know the number I do not answer but this is probally why I get several calls a day.

So I have called their head office number in Manchester 0161 432 8181 and got put through to a guy called Eamon who was very plesent and said that he was sorry for this happenning and has agreed to take my mobile number from their datebase.

He checked to see what numbers that they had on the database for my company and found that it was my mobile number and while we were on the phone he says that he has removed it from the database.

I suggest that you follow this procedure as I think that it will be the only way to stop it.

Also make sure that yopu register with the TPS service also.

We shall see if this is successfull.

this is my private number and i do not have business do not call me again please.

Cant believe they continually call then hang up without sayign a word.  Why?  it only annoys people and runs up a massive bill for them - both in wasted staff time and call charges.

Is it some sort of spam dialler to see who is in perhaps?

If its not then the staff are clearly inept or the management is for allowing it to continue.  I for one wont use them to sell my business.

Just had a call from the muppets.. when the staff who answered the phone asked what the call was about the kid on the end of the phone said to her " Just put me through to the owner"...twice!!! Only down the road too so might pop by if they keep it up!!

A call every day when answered they hang up. You can call them back on a free number 0800 393664 to complain or give them grief.

They have a large call centre with staff specifically targeted on finding businesses for sale. The reason they are so keen to find them is that they make their money by charging exhorbitant up front "marketing fees" to sell a business and then take a large chunk of commission should they sell it.

I used to work for RTA. reason they call is to see if you want to sell the business or wanted a free valuation. bunch of crooks. they charged around 8K to "sell" your business but never did manage to get you any interest.

its the most demoralised call centre ever. If you ask to be removed the staff hit the relevant disposition button. but the software would just readd it to the dialler as the database is old and whn I worked there. we could have dialed the same number 3-4 times an hour as there was more staff than data.

They rang me and wanted to know if i wanted to sell my business, they rang me about 10 times in 3 days

Hi everybody, been getting calls from this company for about 3 years now. 3-4 times a week. I have just rang the free phone number 0800393664 spoke to a woman, and told her that I was P****D off with the call's. She said sorry and explained that numbers are generated by a computer. I told her to sort the computer out so that it didn't generate mine again. She made a note of my number, and said it would be taken off.
Give it ago, and lets see if this stops the calls once and for all.

peruiodic and numerous calls from this number; never get through on return.  Company is RTA Business Consyltants, Stockport.
