Just received a call from this number . . again!
Claiming to have an offer for me from SKY.
The lady with a Scottish accent asked for my name, address and SKY password. I asked her to tell me what the offer was before i gave her any info and she said she was not allowed to do this so i ended the conversation.
BE AWARE - This is not how it should be done.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

This lot rang me 8 times in one day!  I never answer any number that starts with 08 as its a marketing call of some description.

They always call my mobile and I got round it by adding the number to my blocked list.. all they get when they ring is the engaged tone!! hahahahahaha

been getting silent calls from this number for last 2 days,since refusing to change from bt to sky talk how childish

I have had several silent calls from this number over the past few weeks. I have now reported this to ofcom as I am sick and tired of this.

BSkyB has a subsidiary company based at Glasgow which makes these calls to former customers. I have been receiving them again 15 months after ending my contract. I consider this to be an abuse of my data and harassment by a company which ironically advises their phone subscribers to report abuse/nuisance calls.
Emails and letters (recorded delivery) will hopefully resolve the issue, otherwise it's the turn of a solicitor.

They offered me an upgrade to SKY SPORTS for £5. I politely refused and they took it no further. They will probably try again though....

very annoying call that was blank.  Sounded like someone was there, rather than one of those silly automated overseas calls.

This is just Sky with a special offer on Sky Sports and Movies.

Said not interested and they said OK and ended conversation. No heavy selling so no problem as far as I am concerned.

I cancel Sky Sports at the begining of May and add back at the beginning of August. Would be happy for them to pnone me at the beginning of August with a special offer for Sky Sports

Sky calls me regularly and leaves blank messages or ominous silences when I do answer. An old person would be frightened by this. It is totally unacceptable. The most annoying thing is that my number is ex directory for the very purpose of NOT receiving these marketing calls and I give it to no-one. Sky have it because I used to subscribe and they need that for the installation. How I regret that - clearly they have sold their database and now I get all sorts of calls. I wish I could sue them.

Sales call from SKY, pushing to sell the sky package that was part of the expired sky contract, 1/2 price offer.

We cancelled Sky they keep calling and sometimes talk!

Just had another one of these calls - the caller hung up as soon as I answered.

This number has been calling me for weeks now, at inconvenient times and there's always silence when I answer. I tried to return the call and the message says that it's Sky, that one of their agents tried to call me, sorry for the inconvenience and if they need to speak to me they'll try again!! I don't want them to keep trying, how do I make them stop???

And another call but this time got through to a Scottish chap who wanted to talk to me about Sky.

When he asked for my details, I gave him the bare minimum and asked him to let me know the rest - he said he "couldn't for data protection purposes".

Load of bull if you ask me.

These clowns just don't give up do they *grrrr*

left sky over a year ago and still keep pestering even though have asked them to stop calling!
