Hi again,

Just got my letter from weatherseal apologising for calling me again and within 28 days my name will be on their do not call list.

He does end by saying they purchase telephone lists and to get my name off these lists i should go on TPS.... funny that, since i already am and have been for 6 months.

All i can hope is that any new lists they buy havnt got my name on them....

The number i phoned is listed above.

The person whom wrote me the letter is J. McPhillips (customer services).

Lets hope this is the last time i need to come here.

this caller tries me at least every second but when I answer he/she hangs up !!!

What I cant understand is, with them being so rude and totally unprofessional, even if you were looking for doors and windows, you still wouldn't give them your business.  So what's the point of it all?
I just had a call from them and it followed the same patern as most others on this thread.  They sounded thick as [***].  Rough and ignorant sounding.  A female Mafia apprentice.  I find it hard to believe that after listening to the caller for a couple of minutes anyone would buy anything from them. ;-)

This woman named "Chelsea" just called from this number (Superior Homes)and when I informed her I wasn't interested the filth that came from her mouth shocked even me.

Just received a call from this bunch.  When I kept asking for the company name, the woman (Isabella) hung up.

Filed a complaint with TPS but I don't expect anything to happen - every other time I've complained F-all has been done about it.

They should get the point soon.

AS for the abusive comments. Use the number for the weatherseal complaints line, tell them what happened, get the letter like i did.

The HQ office probably doesnt even know what a bunch of muppets they are employing in Dundee are doing. Might get them to drop the call centre if they get enough direct calls.

Received a large number of calls from this number over the last few weeks. Each time the phone is picked up there is no answer/

Phoned an hour ago but I didn't answer since I didn't recognise the number. If they keep calling and being a nuisance, they'll get the test button of my smoke alarm down the line.

If this is indeed Weatherseal, then I have already complained to them several times in the past for harassing calls after I turned down an offer to have windows replaced a number of years ago. Would be the first time in a while they've bothered calling me, but I did have a call from a withheld number at roughly this time yesterday also. Today, this number was available on 1471. And yeah, they're often rude, abusive, hard sell, arrogant, and love to hang up on you with a parting comment of disgust if you don't show interest - including the supervisors/managers.

Complaining seems to do nothing - and if was because of these idiiots that I joined the TPS a good few years ago. If you show interest or get them to come and quote you, Weatherseal send your info on to similar companies (or those within the same umbrella group) and they can then still call you, as there's something under the TPS guidelines which lets them off because you have had "prior dealings" with this type of company.

I've had silent calls, or ones with the beeps now, for about 3 wks. They finally called me today & asked if I wanted to replace 1, 2, 3 or all my windows & doors for free. I told her I didn' take sales calls, to which she replied, this isn't a sales call as we're offering you these free. I asked what the catch was, & she said there wasn't. She then asked for my name. I refused. She couldn't understand why I didn't want to give it??!! I ended up giving hermy christian name & she said she would get a colleague to ring me back shortly. It's typical...they stick to their word when you don't want them to! When I told the new lady that I had been reading about them on the internet & that I was no longer interested. She asked where I had been reading about them. I was so close to saying' the internet' again! Anyway, I just told her it was none of her business & put the phone down. I, too, will be complaining to the TPS as I have been registered with them for the last year.

Well, surprise surprise, I've had another call! This time my hubby answered the call & the guy on the other end said he was returning my call! Hubby told him we weren't interested, like I'd said on the previous call. They guy still tried to get us to have these doors & windows & when hubby asked was it really free, this is what the guy said: You pay for the windows & doors, & then if you're right for their survey, to display their board, advertising them, they refund you! So it's not free is it Weatherseal / Feature Homes???!!!! Beware of this scam people!

I've also had another call this morning. Didn't pick it up, but 1471 again gave this number.

got a call yesterday , the old wifey started on her sales pith rambling on about windows , i then cut in and asked who she had called , she paused for a second and told me she didnt know because the computer just dials the numbers for them, i then enquired if that was legal , at which point the phone went dead

these idiots only ring for a few seconds but still getting a few calls per week.dont answer the phone anymore just 1471 wen it rings off.sick of it

I've just returned home to a missed call from this number, no msg, returning call just gets a msg about being a marketing call and they will call again.
I am also TPS registered (for about 4 years) and ex directory.
For personal reasons when filling in forms etc i always write ex directory in space for tel no, if they really want me they can write, so my number should not be on any mailing list.
Look forward to their next call when i will pass on the tel no of the property owner and they can speak to the local council!

Hi all, just got a call from 08453306769 and when I answered the voice from Dundee said "You need to get to the doctor for a blood test".

At first I thought, this person has the wrong number, then decided to search it and found this website, seems these people think they are above the law or just don't care.

I had dealing with Weatherseal years ago, took over a year for them to plaster a little bit of wall round the patio door they installed so will not entertain them again.

This has been a tactic of theirs for years, offering your windows and doors for free if they put it in their brochure, how many photo's does a brochure hold, so you've got a better chance of winning the lottery than ending up in the brochure.

Also got calls like this before but did not get the number so cannot be sure that they were from the same company but the sales pitch was the same.

Cold calling should be banned, along with the people who come to your door to sell you something.

If I am shopping for anything new I will look for it on the internet, go to the shops or actively seek out a reputable company, I don't need or want anyone calling me or interupting my dinner to flog me windows or doors.

I don't know how these companies survive as I would never buy anything from them, all they do is anger people.

Everyone keep complaining, the more this company is mentioned here the further down the drain they will go.

Got a little suprise for the next caller, all my calls are recorded.

Yet another call today. Again, they only gave it about 4/5 rings before their dialler disconnected the call, so I had to 1471 them. Next time I will ensure I confirm it is Weatherseal and then make a complaint to the Information Commisioner.

Seems you may need to start a complaint with sending Weatherseal a written request for them to stop calling you and then see if the calls stop, but if everyone starts doing this then they can get a good few complaint cases against them. I will include a link to this forum thread on any complaint dealings in the future.

The TPS complaint service won't help - I can see people here have mentioned it does nothing, but they admit on their website that they can't help as it's all voluntary for the companies.

Got a call from 0845 330 6769 asking to speak to the home owner.  When I asked who was calling the slob on the other end of the phone hung up.
