Report a phone call from 08453306769 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- David LBeen receiving calls from 0870 8503491. There is no sound for a few seconds then the apparent sound of someone hanging up. I imagine it's a scam to get me to phone back. Like many others I've already registered with TPS and I also Googled the number.
- cfphoned yesterday (see above) and again today about 1845.
This time on returning the call it has a msg re marketing call but if you do not want them to try again to enter your tel. no.
I have done this so will wait to see if any more unwanted calls come.
TPS registered and ex directory. - cfwell here we are 1155/08 June and despite asking them not to call this number again guess what, they just did. They just hung up when i answered.
- UgoCalled once today at home number. They hung up on answering. My number is ex-directory and TPS too.
- ChiefyI'm also ex-d and TPS. Led the guy on for a bit and finally got out of him that the company was called "Seature Homes". Couldn't get shot of me fast enough when I asked to speak to his supervisor to discuss his company's breach of the Telecomms Act.
Don't just take it. Fight back. Report them to the Information Commissioner and keep reporting them. We Will Win
http://www.ico.gov.uk/complaints/privacy_and_electronic_communications.aspx - RMThese people keep calling me too. I strongly advise caller-display - if I see any 08 number I just don't answer. I have been registered with TPS for years but it doesn't stop these persistent lawbreakers. When I did used to answer some years ago, I would have great sport by allowing them to give me their spiel about (usually) replacement windows, doors - 'No, I don't need those' and then let them get onto 'What about a conservatory then?' and I would suggest that if they could draw up plans for such on a first floor flat, they were welcome to try! They would promptly hang up.
- Jan StewartWhen I answer these calls there is no one there but as soon as I answer and say hello then the phone goes down. This is happening every day and I just want it stopped.
- TrevReally starting to get on my nerves, pick up phone they hang up. Had aabout fifteen calls so far never spoke to anyone yet.
- Andy CairnsI also googled the number, came to this page. The young woman called "Syma" was quite astonishingly rude and hung up when I asked to speak to her supervisor. I have filed a complaint with ico. Don't expect it to go anywhere though.
- Nancy Warhurstleft no message cannot trace who they are
- Call centre agent| 1 replySpent one day at Weatherseal offices in Stockport. They have tiny call centres in the upstairs of every Weatherseal office.
They have automatic dialers, so you just read the script when someone says "hello"
The script is:
"Good morning/afternoon/evening, thank you for coming to the phone, how are you today, are you alright?
My name is ___ and I just giving you a call on behalf of a company called Weatherseal, now its NOT a sales call, Im just doing research in your area that involves two quick questions
If you could replace windows or doors at no cost to yourself, how many would you do? 2,3,4 or would you go for the whole house?"
Now, if they show interest, they ask if they are speaking to a homeowner, take their second name (so they know who to call back) and will get someone to ring back shortly. This is known as a BITE!
If people dont show interest they go on with common objections blah blah blah and then pitch other products:
"And finally, again at no cost to yourself, which would you be interested out of, french or patio doors, conservatory, porch or any of our roofline products?"
Same of before if they show interest they get their name taken down and called back, however if you dont show interest you just get called back anyway.
They treat their staff like sh.t because they basically are sh.t, they are pre-pubestic tw.ts who got recruited in the street, had an "interview" and "training" and started the next day on 3 hours shifts for £4.50 an hour with deductions of £3.51 each hour for use of the company premises, (it only says that in the contract which all the idiots there didnt read)
So next time they ring, spare a thought for the lonely soul at the end of the line whose life couldnt get any better on 99p an hour. Hahaha!- Caller: Weatherseal
- MaureenWhat meaning of NO don't they get. Five times I said not interested in free doors and windows and on TPS. "So you are not interested....?" And we are ex directory. Argh!
- jachi,
just checking up again on this thread. can't believe these guys are still at it.
ive not had a call in a while now since i got a signed letter from theircustomer services director as mentioned in a previous post by me.
i'll repeat the info i gave then here -
J.McPhillips
Customer Services
Weatherseal Holdings Ltd
Go through their main switchboard on 01606 866500 and ask for customer services.
Tell them how abusive their call centre staff are being etc.
They probably don't even know the level of muppety that is being carried out in their call centres.
Best Regards & keep up the fight,
Jac- Caller: these gits.
- Mr Angry Ex-DirectoryReceived a call from "Ray" on the 4th July who was quite happy to speak to my wife but when handed over to me (as she does with all these calls because I'm not as forgiving as her with these lowlifes) he hung up. They tried calling AGAIN today just before lunch and when I answered the phone they immediately hung up. Looks like they're targeting the womenfolk I guess.
Never mind, I'll keep a log of the calls and then give them both barrels!!
Tried reporting the calls to the TPS (on which I am registered) but, guess what, unless you have the FULL details of the company or can demonstrate beyond shadow of a doubt that the call is direct marketing, they cannot follow the calls up because of LACK OF INFORMATION or OUTSIDE THEIR REMIT.
Thanks Jac for the info as I am now getting into terrier mode and won't let go until I have justice! An address would be even better but I might just check with Company House as to who is in charge there. TPS are going to get it with both barrels as well because, frankly, if they are not there to prevent ANY unwanted calls then why the heck are we, the taxpayers, paying their salaries for?
Never mind, enjoy Sunday everybody and I shall hopefully report some good news soon.
Cheers
Mr Bertolucci - v8Rang during grand prix - fat chance of me answering at that point!!
No message left so I 1471'd. We're TPS as well which is all the more annoying. Googled the phone number & came up with this fab site.

- JoeI called the 0800 041 041 given above, after coming home to 3 missed calls..no msg left..thats just today!!
I had the pleasure of speaking with a very charming woman by the name of Caroline F(name witheld to protect the innocent) She also claimed to be a manager on a private inbound line. (at this point I considered venting my spleen but gentlemanly conduct tempered my tongue!)
I did complain about receiving unwanted calls and asked what the call was about. She promptly replied that she would have no idea as she was based in Cheshire & the call would probly have originated in 1 of the Scottish callcentres. 1 in aberdeen, 3 in glasgow & 1 somewhere else.
she enquired if I'd ever dealt with weatherseal or feature homes/future homes previously. I had not.
She confirmed to me that she would e-mail the IT Dept and have my number removed from their data-base (probly not) 1st thing tomorrow.
then..THEN she started flirting with me!! Now being a gent I kept it clean and polite but by crikey she sounded smashing! oh! by the way..she did give me her e-mail address...
You should call the number above. whats the worst thing that could happen?? I hope everyone else has as much fun with this as I've had...- Caller: weatherseal/feature homes/future homes
