This is definitely from Barclays Fraud desk. My daughter didn't want to phone back and so went into a branch where they said it wasn't them. She said she knew it was Barclays as she had also had a text which she had replied to but Barclays hadn't taken any notice of. She insisted they rang their fraud dept. and when she spoke to them and they checked her accounts they still said it wasn't them!! She luckily then told them to check her actual cards and then they owned up to one of her cards being blocked. She sat in Barclays for 1/2 hour before they got their act together.

I received a call from Barclays fraud dept last night asking My father in law who's lives in Nigeria to call them, we got another call this morning but they hung up when it went to answerphone So I rang them wanting to know if the call was genuine after 1 call holding on for 10 min line went dead, second call 12 mins then a cal centre presumably in India I gave her the number she said she could not conirm it she gave me the Fraud dept direct line number called that India again could they please confirm or not that the numbers that rung me are from Barclays fraud dept "Oh I am sorry I cannot tell we have so many Numbers",
went online to site typed in number it says it is genuine, why cannot a human on the telephone tell me if the numbers are, genuine  I did not want information about my Father in laws account just to know as a matter of urgency if the numbers were their's or not.
