    Lol
Been with Barclays for over 30 years and they've never rang me. So I think I'll ring the number that I know is their number before disclosing any information.

I just had someone ring my mobile number, I rarely give it out and they asked for a woman and I am a man, there has never been a woman linked with this number.

The above number is repeatedly ringing requesting me to call a barclaycard fraud line which is not recognised by Barclays nor are they contacting me for details. Be cautious.

This is a genuine number.  Someone attempted to use my wife's card in USA.  They blocked the card, because the number couldn't have been used simultaneously in the states and UK.  Thank god for Barclays instinct, and my wife's use at the right time.  I decided to google the number, but ring Barclays on normal number to verify it.  The rest is history.

Why are they ringing me. I don't have a Barclays account or barclaycard surely a big bank like Barclays would make such an error as to get their fraud dept to ring someone who isn't a customer.

Don't fall for it guys hang up and ring the bank back on the number you already know for them, better safe than sorry

Had a call from this number.  Having looked it up (on this site) decided to call it back from work.  Sounds genuine, but gave up after listening to on-hold music (while waiting for the next available fraud adviser) for 10 minutes

This is most Definately BARCLAYS Anti Fraud te. It's an automated service in which you follow her instructions to verify your DOB and the last 5 transactions on your account. It's normally connected with a transaction that was declined I.e. you by accidentally entered a wrong digit of your card when trying to buy something on line.

They will call ALL numbers listed on your account in the hope you answer 1 of them, if you don't the risk is that your account/card will temporarily be suspended.

The fact BARCLAYS staff have told you incorrect information is very embarrassing.

Received automated call 8.15 today allegedly from Barclays Fraud Department but as they got my name slightly wrong I blocked them. Then checked with Barclays Fraud Dept via their official number. That number is not one they recognise and it will be reported.

it is a legit number. Didn't call the number the voicemail left on my phone but instead I went to my bank and spent the entire bloody morning on hold to an 0845 number waiting for the fraud dept to verify if it was actually them calling me or not. Turned out they blocked my card because I bought a track from iTunes over xmas and the copyright for it was held in luxembourg??! So they blocked my card for a purchase made within the uk to iTunes...  half way though January. Absolute WASTE of a morning if you ask me - could barely understand a word she was saying either as her indian accent was so thick. She was nice enough - i just couldn't understand her.
Absolutely ridiculous waste of time over £0.99 but i guess that's my two cents. The number is real.

This number has been checked by Barclays fraud dept and I was told it is a genuine number. I was told to just ignore it as it would eventually stop. Today I have written a letter to Barclays asking for this to be investigated.
