08458630287 rang me today and I didnt get to the phone. when I went to look at the phone to see who it was, they rang again; this time I picked up, there was just static, no sound and then a sound of call rejection. Im not calling them back as I know it is proberly a scam.
I have just started a O2 contract and have been called six times in total, as it states on the register (I must of not heard it).
I went into O2 and they stated that it was not them and I must have typed my number into a site, service or I had downloaded a ringtone or somthing. But I have not, my numbers only been given to select people in my family. I told O2 this and they said it was my problem. Since running through all the complaints of this number, im going to contact trading standards, O2 is the only likely persons which have given my number out and this is against the data protection act and the small print on the contract.

I keep getting missed calls from this number. Every once in a while I catch one, and make a fart noise down the phone when I answer. The person on the other end (when there is one) just continues asking to speak to me regardless, trying to talk over the 'fart'.

Recieved call today saying they are from 02 to see if i want to register to recieve texts about services. I have been with 02 on this number for 18months now and i am already registered with them to recieve updates... so i think its a scam.

am getting repeated calls from this no???, i owned a new o2 contract phone a week back, for past 2 days

got a fonecall 2day, asking for me by my full name. then she said that i was using the wrong tarrif. i informed her that i was at work she said she would fone me 2moro. im not goin to answer. strange as i had another missed call from 01902206938- which thanx to this website i found out are also a scam company.

Had a phone call from them asking for my password.....
LEAVE WELL ALONE O2 have never heard of the number :-(

The fireball, contact trading standards, who will in turn contact o2, who will then confirm that it was them calling you from this number, o2 are not passing on your information to other companies.

I finally got fed up of this number phoning me today and answered and waited for someone to speak as there's a delay.  It IS O2 and it is an official number (I do have a contract with them)

I keep getting these calls but dont answer. I have had a running contract with 02 for 4 years and they have no need to ring me. Seems suspect to me. Annoying but best to avoid answering.

It is o2 it's a call to check your contract is fine and everything. I found this out from o2 customer services

Well I also got this strange number and looked up this site! So glad I saw the comments.. it is still happening and I note the replies here are mainly from 2007.. well its now April 2009 and I have just moved to O2! Immediately added to the reject list as only 2 companies would have known my new number - O2 and Dial-a-Phone.. and the insurance scammers trying out the batches of new numbers issued.

Call from number above.  Claimed to be 02 calling me regarding upgrading my phone.

Im not sure if this is o2 insurance, i already have insurance and they are still calling me all the time, i have not answered it yet but i want to know what/who it is...

Just noticed a missed call from this number, there was no voicemail. I am an O2 customer and have been for over 5 years. I have never experienced calls like this before.

Judging by the earlier posts (november 2007) this has been going on for a while now. Has any action been taken? Is O2 aware of this thread?

Some woman asking for my O2 password. Like yeh, i was going to give it to her.

I started receiving these calls today. have been with O2 for over 3 years now and never had this issue before. I haven't got a new phone BUT I used the 202 line yesterday to learn about renewals...

Keep getting calls from these people, they are selling insurance, BUT THEY ARE NOT O2, just hang up, they ring from an automated system.

same as everyone else just got a new contact 5 missed calls today!!! have missed all though.... what should i do leave it?

I had this same problem they ring me 3 times
last time when this was happend 3 months ago I answer on that call couple times finaly i was so angry and use very strong words, they stopt calling
looks like i have to answer again start shout on this m*****f**** usless c***s
