- DaveI let a friend use my landline regarding an outstanding debt. They must have recorded my caller ID and this agency is now ringing my house while I'm at work. Are they allowed to harvest and record numbers like this? My friend did not give them my number. Are they breaching the data protection act?
- nickthey've called twice now, once last night and then at 8:55 this morning...just wish that they'ed f*** off!

- AntThese plebs called my parents house on Monday-Wednesday-Friday this week during the afternoon and later into the evening. The guy was rude and aggressive and upset my parents. I've not lived with my parents for 10+ years and am on the electoral register so if they were legitimate then surely they would have access to the appropriate records?
I'm pretty angry and not sure if I should call them or if that will mke them more hell bent on chasing me for something that I don't owe. Bunch of tossers! - AndrewHi All,
I was getting calls from these guys all last month, picked it up once because every now and then I feel like an argument so i thought BONUS! Got some disgusting Liverpudlian Called Veronica, Immediate images of a wart on the base of a foot, She started off asking for names of people Ive never heard of then I asked her to hold on while I asked my partner if they had anything to do with it......
He is obviously at work and is far too busy to deal with my questions! So i asked her to hold while i emailed my mother to see if she knew these people, as you can guess this fat obnoxious trout was getting fairly frazzled by this point! so i thought.....hmmm i wonder if i can get her to answer one of my questions....
She did with a very rude swear word thats started with C and ended with UNT I was not shocked at all as I have dealt with chavs like this before......
I asked her if she gets excited by the smell of Greggs pies and stout ale?! and you know what......she hung up!
I thought "How rude"
So i trawled these sites and found this piece of info.....and yes i will share it with you all.....
If you pick up......when they ring.....and press the hash key repeatedly they never ring again. Apparently something to do with the hash tone bouncing my number off their system. Weather or not this works is entirely speculation BUT i have not had one more call for over 4 weeks.and i was getting 4 a day.
So lets all try it maybe they will all leave the call centers and become you friendly Greggs service staff instead. - MarkSay phone call, second one in about 3 days
Asked to confirm my name and address, i say i don't know who you are, they say we'll send a letter out then, then they hang up - Elaine from OxfordIused to get a call regularly from these morons - they'd always ask for me to 'confirm' personal details such as my date of birth - I used to say 'Sure I'll cinform it, what date have you got?' They get funny and say you have tell us due to data protection we have to confirm you are who you say you are - BUT THEY'D RUNG ME!!!!????
In the end I sent them an invoice that I annoyingly get from NTL (now Virgin) which says the balance is 0.00 to prove that I didn't owe the money they said I did - their response to that was to send a letter thanking me but to call to make arangements to pay the outstanding amount???!!!
Utter morons - NEVER give callers any personal information - they can do a lot of damage with personal info such as your date of birth!- Caller: Interim
- Andy LivingstoneAny organisation in the UK involved in collecting debts requires a Consumer Credit Licence. Ask these people for details of theirs. If you feel that they are in breach of the principles of the Consumer Credit Act (2006) then complain immediately to the Office of Fair Trading, www.oft.gov.uk Make certain that Interim Justitia know you are doing so. Be sure to make careful notes of the exact dates and times at which you are called and, if you answer your phone, be sure to get the name of the person calling. Tell them why you want it !!
- hrfThese people have been calling me since the beginning of April, Do they think I owe them money or just that they want to sell something?
Most recent 5: 25/04, 30/04, 01/05, 06/05, 07/05.
Don't they give up? - MarkKeep calling, but leave no message. I tried to call them back but just got a "do not worry, we'll contact you" answer message, and then they hung up. the one occassion I did answer they were extremely rude, and kept asking me for my first line of address and postcode, and wouldnt say anything else. when i asked where they were/who they were/why they wanted me/how did they get my no. - they hung up. I have reported the whole thing to the police. i recommend you do the same. get a crime number, as none of this sounds very legit!

- NOT mrs reesI keep getting calls for a Mrs rees this is not me and i do not know her, i have told them dozens of times they have the wrong number and to take it off their database but they keep ringing me at unsociable times, on sundays and early in the morning
- DebbieI got a guy, scouser, on the phone who said he was from Interim Justicia, a debt collecting agency working on behalf of PayPal. He then asked for my address, I questioned it. If someone rings me, why should I confirm who I am!!! He became rude, I said that I didn't owe anyone any money and he became ruder saying that I would get the final demand in the post!! How upsetting. I contacted PayPal and they agreed that my account was in good order!! Is there nothing we can do to stop these fraudsters? It could be very upsetting to the older generation, and quite scary.

- John (Intrum Staff)Hi folks, i have worked for intrum justicia for a while now in their main call centre which is based in liverpool. Intrum Justicia UK is part of the bigger parent company IJ from sweden, its been around for approx 35 years doing dusiness with various clients. A lot of the problem speople have with intrum are to do with the dialer system, this is the computer system that calls customers "debtors", its badly outdated and extreemly overloaded and ccan have attrocious delays when people aswer the phone, hence the reason some people think that we have hung up on them when we are still waiting to make the call. Personally i think the training that IJ provide is very pushy towards th poeple we phone, i know their a business but i would rather talk to someone and solve a problem out with a customer rather than in the training "demand payment if no solution terminate call" thats the major downfall with the training. regarding personal information. dependant on the client i.e british gas, ebay, paypal, natwest ect, our computer system have your personal data securred but the reason we ask people we phone who they are is to confirm the data protection act, this is because we are not allowed to discuss financial information with someone who claimed to be someone else, si the first line of address and postcode is needed to make sure we are talking to the right person, intrum doesnt need any other personal details to confrim who you are and if you are asked simply refuse as it is not needed for dpa. A lot of the call centre staff are extreemly overloaded with work as there are 800 phone systems with 490 staff, the call centre is so utterly undermanned it does not suprise me that some of the staff who i work with get ratty, also if you know you dont owe anything just send that proof into ij and the phone calls normally stop also the main reason for excessive frequency of calls is based on the outdated computer system that handles the calls, als if you are really un happy with them and want them to stop calling just ask for their team leader, 1 in every 5 calls is monitored so be persistant. im sorry on behalf of the team i work in in ij for the problems you folks have been having but with the staff so overworked computer systems so outdated and training so poor what can you expect.
- SteveHahahaha these are jokers.
I apparantly owe £150 and the lady on the phone "Talyia" said that if I dont pay it within 7 days I will have another £70 added.
I said give me the registered address and i will take you to court over this harrassment and she wouldn't - In the end a quick companies house check revealed "the plaza" address.
Think she was more shocked that i knew the address. Any way just said that i am going to charge them for every call and letter and if they dont payup in 7 days I am comming down to the plaza with the "door knockers".
She thought I was joking until i said the must be some furniture and stuff to collect payment on hahahahahaha - a manager called me back and its now sorted - gone back to paypal woooo! dont let these dicks get to you.
A good comment is.... "what do you know? your just a call center agent on minimum wage" that really winds them up.
hahahahahahahhahahahha - RamThey called and asked me if i could answer some security questions, I said no it's not alright.
They then said they can't discuss the matter further without going through security.
They then called back a week later and i repeated the above and know they don't call.- Caller: Interum

Scousers hey every ones a comedian. - Richard davisDon't ever give them any personal information, tell them to f**k off they are
not nice people!!!! - ian281081I have been contacted by them about ebay fees that they say i havent paid. i told that i have paid it and the man called me a liar and my mother hit the roof and he told her to shut her mouth. I have had a liverpool girl ringing me out of her work hours laughing over the phone and making stupid noises. They are very aggressive over the phone and dont have any sence at all. They cant get a better job. I have had to change my number because of them and i think something should be done about them. we have all the proof we need on this website after all the stories people have been telling us. Its like having little kids running a company, they havent got a clue. do they think that we will give them money while they are speaking to us in a aggressive and rude manor.
