John from intrum. Do you think its ok for them to get ratty with us over the phone. I was trying to cope with 2 family berevements but i dont get ratty with stress phoning people up and being aggressive and rude. They wouldnt dare speak to us like they do if we all knew where they lived. they just freel safe because they are speaking over the phone, if we went in the office and spoke to them face to face they would be shaking in their boots.

Barred all 0870 numbers from my ohone, no-one honest has one of these numbers

deffo! get Watchdog on it! These [***] are rude, say they are a collection agency yet you cant email them. once they know your postcode and first line of address they never leave you alone. they dont sound very legitimate at all... I wonder if they ever read whats written about them on this website.. hope so!

Had the same problem with this bunch. Calls any time of day and night even though I told them to stop calling. Well here's what to do:- call BT (if you have a BT line) on 0800 661 441 and pick the option to speak to someone. Explain to them the problem that they keep calling even though you've asked them to stop. They will offer you 28 days free trial of their CALL BARRING service. Stopped them ringing me!

Had several silent calls from this one - I know it's them as the number offers a pre-recorded message saying that they've called and will be back in touch.  Well, after 6 silent calls (1 per day) I hope a human has the decency to call next time.

I also rang their local number and spoke to the dimmest Irish chap who had no idea why they were calling me and couldn't even get my name/address right.  His excuse was that they have "thousands of clients/customers".  I suggested that if he was handling all that data it's no wonder they can't tell their bottom from their elbow.

Good job I have my SIP VoIP line for this kind of stuff!

They're [***]. A lady phoned just to confirm my name and then said, I'll call you back later.  They've tried my number 7 times in one week!

Get these calling all the time 3 or 4 times a day. Think I will pay e-bay off then just mess them about on the phone for a while seen as they sound so pushy. Hey we can have fun sometimes with these people.

These people called everyone on my paypal delivery list and ebay list, its really weird because over christmas I had some stuff delivered to my boyfriend and they have been calling his parents house constantly asking for me and calling my grans house and i dont live at either of those places! its so annoying because i event hough i paid my paypal and ebay they still bombard both houses with calls asking for me when i have called them and told them i dont live at either addresses and i dont know why they are calling there.

When one of the agents caught me at my boyfriends she called me 'leah the liar' and hung up the phone. And i get those phone called mentioned above where the girl calls me on her out of hours times with her annoying liverpool voice and thinks its fun and I get the call and hang up treatment everyday too.

I did ask to speak to the manager and spoke to a team leader and put in a complaint but im sure nothing was done about it. I even said to the team leader that I am guessing their calls arent monitored because the kind of things they said and the attitude they have on the phone would be seen as very unprofessional having somebody listen to them with their employers with such attitude over the phone

Someone should definalty get this company on watch dog!

I would like to apologise to Interim Justicia for slagging them off in my last comments back on 19 May.  The rude guy who rang me up isn't typical of the staff.  I got another call a few days later from a lovely lady who was very polite even tho I started off quite sharp towards her.  Apparently, someone has opened a Paypal account in my name, address the same, everything, except email so they were on to me for the money but all I had to do was log it as fraudulent at the police station, now it is all sorted. If they ring and you really don't owe anything, listen to them and act on what they tell you.  They are very helpful with the odd bad penny amongst them.

A debt management company called Intrum as stated above, when questioned what it was regarding they keep hanging up on me. They wont be aggressive with me cos they'll get it straight back!

This is probably the worst example of the debt collection company I have ever heard of. They are calling me and contantly asking for money, the best thing is that they are calling on behalf of BG. When I am calling BG they are telling me that I have no outstanding bills.

They wanted 189 pounds first day, 37 pounds second day. 38 pounds third day? I have tried to get any information but this is impossible, it seems that they all retarted or something. They are still trying I have barred around 3 different numbers but they are still trying.

I have written a serious complaint against all situation to CEO of BG and curretnly awaiting respond from Ofeg, this is an absolute joke. Next time when they will phone me I will tell them to f... of, and this is the best advice for those morons,

i dialed 1471 and got this number which is NOT paypal.

I recieved a call yesterday asking for 'michaela' so as nobody lives with me called that i said there was nobody here with that name..
i got a call 5 minutes later.. they were obviously checking just incase someone else picked up... but they hung up straight away..
and now today, even though nothing was discussed, I have recieved a letter from them saying I owe them £47.88..
'you must now contact us as a matter of the highest priority in order to make the necessary arrangements to clear this outstanding balance'
and at the bottom of the letter: 'We look forward to this speedy recovery'

Dont give in to these people.. They dont actually seem to know what they are doing.. they are based in liverpool.. and do you know why? because the scouser accent was voted the most intimidating accent in england..

and the companys name is actually 'intrum justitia' as stated on the top of my intimidating, rude and unnecessary letter..

I forgot to mention that I had at least £38 in my paypal account, but that has been removed, i am not sure when, but its gone.. there are no signs of it being taken.. and all my transaction history has been wiped..
i have a feeling that they are a bogus company..
i must admit i did owe ebay money, but its not as much as intrum justitia are telling me it is

Yeh they called me at 9am. Requesting a £50 fine which had to be paid today or they will take further action. They kept repeating about further action and when i asked about the fine, they just said its a paypal debt you owe us.

They went on for a while, being very intimidating, i checked out there company and its fully licensed. But giving you a 24hr deadline is a little offputting to me. Especially as i heard a siren kinda noise in the background. Sounded to me like a slot machine tbh.

but as its only £50 i will check what happens from here.

They asked for my address to confirm who i am.. They dont confirm who they are, thats what got me.

I received 4 calls from different call centres from the same number within a space of an hour. They keep asking for different name.

already told ebay wasn't paying fees as I was told I didn't have to at ebay after speaking to a person there. So they can get knotted.
On the CSA code of practice they are breaking many rules being aggresive and demanding payment in full. Once you point out to them in writing that you are aware of the CSA you find they give you a settlement figure and write off the rest.
