I was actually searching for 'free and easy' as they said they were sending me a brochure and I hadn't received one.  I had received a call saying that as I had just purchased from spacebag.co.uk  their catalog might be of interest to me, would I like to receive it as it has offers in it, no obligation, free.  It isn't suitable for everyone to have a subscription, so I can review and decide for myself if I want to join.

I am now concerned, from reading some of this extensive thread, that they are going to dip into my bank account or card, however, I gave no account details to these people, the only way they could get the information would have been from spacebag - surely they cannot also share bank account details?  I have checked my account, nothing has gone out of it to 'free and easy' and I can't put an alert on the account to stop, only can contact the bank if they take something - talk about shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted approach!

be aware any credit card details you give will be dipped into, this scott employs young people who are desperate for work , he then threatens them with redundency unless they hard sell to people including the elderly , he refuses such luxuries as heating or air conditioning, . he cruelly teases his employes with threats of unemployment. the company based in spain actually dealt with in devon. dont be angry with the guys and gals on the phone ask to speak to the ones holding an imaginary ''gun' to their heads.. from what ive seen the managment have pleasure in making redundant people that might be getting to know toooo much and therr personal favourite pregnant girls!!! .he likes to threaten violence and the like once they have left when he continues to bully us. oh and  they can legally scam 99.99 from your credit cards as thgere is a loop hole involving the 'spanish' company. as for get a life !  Get a concience, , and yes i have sooooo much more!

We ordered DVDs from Simply Home Entertainment. After they arrived we had a phone call from them, asking if we were satisfied with our DVDs, but we were not asked about, and did not agree to, any "membership" of "Free & Easy Lifestyles", and had never heard of them. We got the scam letter on 23/8/2011, and, as for many of you, the £99.99 was still debited from our card. We got it back through the bank but we are annoyed that the bank had to pay, and these criminals still have the money. We are now coming up to a year since then, so we are going to watch our bank statements carefully.

Like many of you, we are astounded that nobody seems to be able to do anything to put these people in jail and refund the money.

We reported it to every organisation we could find that dealt with fraud, and to the police. We would encourage everyone to do the same, because there may be a better response if more people complain.

have just checked my bank account and found that I too have been charged 99.99 by FREE AND EASY after recieving a holiday brochure.  Have just rung the free phone number 08000 512121 and spoken to a lady called Sue who has assured me that I will be refunded within a week so I will be checking carefully to make sure that I am.  This has come a couple of months after purchasing from SPACEBAGS who we will also be contacting about passing on my details.

Save your time Spacebags and Free and Easy are more or less run by the same people. See previous posts for details. They will just ignore your complaint. I am glad the free phone number worked may be others will see it and not phone the 0845 number. So the company will be charged for the call as well a small thing but may make people feel slightly better!

Had a letter from Leisure Time saying I had been signed up for a free 30 day trial and would be charged an annual fee of £99 if I did nothing.  I had not signed up for this and rang Leisure Time to cancel this bogus trial and ask how the hell they had got hold of my bank details.  A young lad called Jack answered the phone, assured me he had cancelled the subscription, that they did not have any payment details for me and that Space Bags had probably passed on my details.  I had ordered from Original Space Bags at the end of September.  I then phoned Space Bags to give them a piece of my mind for passing on my details and to my surprise heard a familiar voice answer the phone at Space Bags!  Yes, it was Jack from Leisure Time would you believe!  He was quite taken aback when I asked him if he was the same person but couldn't deny it.  He tried to tell me he was just at the call centre and nothing to do with either company.  This whole thing stinks and I will have to cancel my credit card as I can't trust either of these companies and will report it to consumer direct as well.

Looking at the Space Bags website they claim that their vacuum sealed bags can reduce the volume of your clothes by up to 100%! Which is a mightly impressive claim.

Looks like Free n Easy try to make your £99 disappear by up to 100% too.

    Hi Spectator,
I'm guessing from your voice, that you were on of the victims working for these scammer's. Can you please tell me the name of the person controlling this fraudulent scam?

See page one of this forum for address. The company if registered at all would be in Spain. However this is just a cover all calls inbound and outbound go through the Devon call centre. And it is ran from there by Scott Cleverdon who is hand in hand with director  Phillip Mason.

Get your facts straight Steve no outbound calls go through the Call Centre as you are suggesting they only act as a Customer Service point for people who are cancelling their trial if your going to slag the company off then i would suggest you get more up to date information

As an ex employee I know they have people their phoning out to customers of Spacebags and any other company that uses their callcentre.  Asking if they are happy with the product and would the customer be interested in recieving a brochure although it is not always explained what the brochure is for and the customer will be ripped off if they do not cancel. Everything I have to say about the company and call centre is correct. The only mistake in the post was in the wording as outbound calls are made from the call centre and do not 'go through' the call centre. And why are you defending a company which is scamming people, at least your not telling me their really in Spain, which is what they tell the callers that cancel.

They do advertise outbound calls    http://www.pressplaycalls.com/

I also received a holiday brochure from 'Leisure Time' which I am guessing is the same company.  I've cancelled my cards and written to them to cancel the membership -   which I did not sign up for.

Looking at the the length of this thread and all the probable fraudulent and illegal trading of personal information why have they not been closed down?

Yes...I too was scammed...a spacebag order too.

Luckally my bank, Santander, did not put through the transaction and called me.

Wonder if they do the same thing in the USA?  Anyone got an e-mail for Betty Jameson-Dunne their USA director?

Any chance of us all working together and bringing the whole damn thing to court?

Just call them and cancel it! I had the same thing done to me and I reported it to Barclays and it CANNOT be claimed as fraud because they happily refund the money for you. I had no problems at all with cancelling and the money was back in my account in just 3 days!!
