just got the call sounded like a gay indian just kept saying hello

Just had 091148 call - hard to understand did sound indian - I was asking him who was calling said something about verifying energy - quoted our postcode then my husbands date of birth! Asked where he got our details - said they all on their database and it had to be updated - I said ending this call now and put the phone down - he was still shouting something. I checked 1471 and found it to be 091148.
Its very worrying I have tried calling the Vonage number but the guy just kept saying if I didnt give my name nothing could be done - I gave phone number but refused anything else.

I have had a number of calls from this company.
They got very irate when I said I wasn't with any of the big six gas and electricity suppliers and told me I was lying! They obviously don't know about the smaller companies.
I have asked them to stop calling as I am registered with TPS and they said they would, once they have the information they need as they are a reputable company - although they can never tell me which one!!! Infact once when I said I wouldn't give them the information because I didn't know them they said "I am Ben (I think) now you tell me your gas supplier" I told him I didn't care if he was Mickey Mouse, if he knew me he would know my supplier.

I have checked up the number and Vonage, through a relative who owns a telecoms company and was advised that "Vonage are a "tacky" telecoms company that offer cheap calls to anyone - any 2nd rate company or call centre can use them. If they call you the number will be Vonage registered but it will not necessarily be Vonage that is calling.
"The only thing you can do is register with TPS. Companies have a obligation to not call people who are registered; however they don't always pay that much attention."

The final piece of advice I was given is the next time they call call your phone provider immediately afterwards. They will then be able to place a block on the last number dialed. In my case Talk Talk would charge me £3.50 per month to block the calls.

We keep getting this one call us too becoming a nuisance, just had a call literally 5 minutes ago so now I answer, go off do my laundry or any chore that needs doing and leave them on the line so they waste their money hopefully they will get the message soon enough if not its costing me nothing.

Do not answer this number. It is premium rate to receive at £1.50 per minute

i got a phone call  a few times and someone just says hello! hello! and when i say hello he puts the phone down

put phone down when my little boy answered (twice). This has happened twice in the last two days.

had same phonecall oh answered it i did tell him to put it down but it just went along with it,

Just got a call from a woman asking for me. I just said I wasn't in and that I was my sister. She then hung up.

I have a call from this number everyday!!!  When i speak they hang up. It worries me that it could be one of them calls that as soon as you answer you get charged???  '

We received a call from this number earlier, and they simply put the phone down.  They called back again (we have caller id) and they demanded to know who we were with for the phone.  My hubby answered, and said "I don't know, my wife decides all that" and the woman said "well I want to speak to her" when my hubby said I wasn't here, she said "yes she is - I can hear her in the background!" she then put the phone down on him!!

I have had this number call me about 4 times in past month. I never manage to get to the phone in tim. Being a little bit deaf it rings a number of times before I hear it.

only had this problem since i joined talktalkAOl partnership broadband, but according to them its just a pure co-incidence, the best was being asked who supplied my electric, my reply was * jesus does he gives me everything i need* this wound the indian up on the other end of the phone so much they actually asked me if i was serious and then hung up on me.

I had a call from this 091148 asking for me to confirm who my gas supplier was and how I pay. I asked for the company name and she said "energy Saver" I then asked her for a phone number for her management at which point she hung up.

One day I will find these people and god better help them when I do.

same call every day for last week. Hang up every time I answer , starting to piss me off now. I am TPS registered. If you get this please complain to OFCOM who will finr and close these b@@@@ards down.

I keep getting lots of these calls. Most are with held numbers But today it was from this 6 digit number 091148, saying they are from survey companies etc asking if my phone line is with BT. I ask them where they got my number & they say they just want to confirm iam with BT. I then say well i want to know where you got my number as i belong to the TPS & they hang up EVERYTIME!

My wife was told to **** off by the persistent caller today.  Have reported it to the telephone company and hope they contact the police.

Keep getting calls from this number.Keep asking about utility supplies. I tell them to mind their xxxxxx business
