Im called Tanya but i can assure you its not me lol! Just updating after telephoning Vonage to get these calls stopped * fingers crossed none today....not holding my breath though as they said it could take up to 30 days to update the system so will have to wait & see. It does seem that the 091148 number isnt the only one these nuisances use so beware!

i've jusr received a call from this number. i've had a few over the past couple of days. when i answer the phone they just hang up, most annoying. these people should be charged with harrassment because that is what they are doing.

Just received a call from this number ,  however my phone keeps cutting out so maybe i was lucky - lol

Someone called Simon (I'll go out on a limb and suggest that this might not have been his real name) with a very thick Indian accent called me about 15mins ago. He gabbled his script so fast that I had to demand he stop and repeat himself several times (which didn't improve his health and temper any). Kept asking about gas supplier, wouldn't tell me where he got my number from - other than his logistics department from doing online or door-to-door surveys (another lie, I think).

Anyway, I kept it civil, refused to answer his question even when he got whiny and eventually he told me 'shut your mouth', I giggled and repeated it back and he got really crabbly, told me to 'shut my mouth' a few more times followed by a 'shut your mouth, bloody' which had me screeching with laughter!
This got him very angry, he told me I can't laugh, I assured him that not only could I, but I was so ner! He then told me he hoped I would die terribly...
Then he hung up.

I refuse to die horribly just to spite him!

The next call to come in will be taken by my husband in his best Indian accent - I'm looking forward to it (providing it doesn't clash with anything good on telly or occur at 4am!)

I suggest anyone finding these calls a real nuisance then follow the instructions i left on the 7th December. It has been a week now & so far the calls have stopped after having received them on & off for several months!

Its been a week & 2 days now & no calls so it seems that ringing the number i gave previously actually works.....so far anyway!

We too are getting numerous calls from this number and it is becomming a right pain we are already registered with TPS but calls still get through

B******S Called AGAIN! Rang Vonage..... AGAIN! Told them i am going to get advice from a solicitor if i get one more phonecall as it is harassment!    No point in reporting this to the TPS of which i have been a member of for 4 years, i have reported this number to them 3 times & all they say is they will investigate & get back to me but do bugger all!

Answerphone had a call asking me to go to an interviw tomorrow.  No more details at all.  1471 showed 091148.  I'm retired, so knew it wasn't for me.I think this is a particularly cynical message, as some people could be desperate for a job and call back.  These people are an unpleasant nuisance. I've had all the messages people list here, and I just say I am on TPS and they shouldn't be calling me.  Either they hang up then, or I do!

Called AGAIN today!!!!  Doing some sort of survey regarding my energy providers.  I said that I had already said that I wasn't interested.  I was told to '[***] off' and the Indian sounding woman put the phone down.  Spoke to numerous companies (BT, TPS, etc etc)  there is NOTHING that they can do as it is a false number generated outside the UK and generated to fool any blocking systems that you may have in place.  I think having a pointless long chat with them, where I pretend to be really stupid and need to check up on energy supplier - along the line of "It is Bristish Gas.....No...EDF...no powergen.. On no - let me check - Put them on hold for a while etc" is the best possible answer.

After the last call i had  & i threatened Vonage with legal action for harassment they have now left me alone since the 20th December!

Yup, got one(had loads before but silent until now) she hung up on me as well. I asked what she was selling, she said "nothing" i said the only people who phone me are people I know or people trying to sell me somthing, not in her script, she hung up

just out of curiosity, what broadband provider is everyone on, lets try and find the common denominator here and screw them to the wall!!!

caller asked if i was with scottish power when i said no they asked was i the bill payer . The caller sounded indian and said they were from some kind of prize line although didnt wait to hear more just hung up on them , very dodgy i think .

getting regular calls from this no. just let it go to voice mail. they never leave a message

Keep being called from 091148 last time I spoke to an Indian sounding woman who wanted personal details. When I challenged her she hung up.

Had the same phone call as well. Silent caller.
After saying that, I've had in the past some Indian / Pakistan person asking all sorts of questions.
I gave him a few choice words with some swear words to get him of the line. I've tried using TPS but these are useless for international " pain in the backside" callers. It's about time the telephone companies like BT do something about this. They know where these calls come from but they will not do anything about them. All I can say is this, put pressure on your telephone provider to get action.

had a call 2day off 091148 was silent i think that if i was a elderly they would try 2 con me not on :[

091148 called, foreign accent, asked for someone who was not me, ie can I speak to Mrs ??????? (I can't remember), I said no & hung up

Rung this morning, and I told them I had moved and I didn't live here any more, they believed me!!!
