I find the thing to do is wind them up. This one, I just kept on denying that my phone number was the number he had called. Took around a minute for him to shout at me 'well why am I talking to you', he hung up before I could explain he called me.

If you have text to speech on your computers, you can have some great conversations through your computer generated voice, putting them on hold many times.

I have found since I started messing with the callers, sticking them on hold and being polite but dim and wasting their time, the number of nuisance calls I receive has dramatically decreased, from up to 10 a day to about 1-2 a month.

I actually miss them now I have fun winding them up.

they rang me today and kepst askin for my energy supplier. it was a (indian man) so i asked him what the weather was like in india and he replied that he did not no. so then i asked him his energy suplier and started to repeat everything he said went on for about a minuite till this little [***] replied "i have not got the time to waste on u" so i replied [***] u then the line went dead haahhahah when he rings back i am going to sing him a song when he thinks he is on hold.

More calls from this number We had a spate of them a year or so ago, always hanging up or getting a dead line. Eventually my husband spoke to them and told them to remove our number from their records. They have been calling again recently and tonight I spoke to someone who identified himself as Calvin. He asked how I was and I said "fed up of getting calls from this number, that's how I am". Then he hung up!

Had various calls from this number in the last week or so.  One today, just play dumb and ask if they were trying to sell something they hung up.  I would never call them back and await now the next telephone based interuption.  Have got to the stage of mostly not answering the phone then doing 1471 and calling back the people I want to speak to.  My phone tarif gives me free calls all day thank goodness.

Great fun with my Indian gent. Claimed he was in Regent Street, doing research for energy companies. I asked him loads of questions, and questions about the questions. Spent ages trying to get him to explain where he got the number from. After playing with him for ages longer he got really angry and I had to tell him to calm down. He lost it so much he threatened me that all 100 of his colleagues would keep phoning me for revenge. NOW i'm scared. Stupid little tick turd.

This number has called at least once a week for the last three months I have tps but they still get through WHY ??? they try to sell numerous things from telephones to swich providers for everything they are not english and do not understand the word NO just being rude to them does not work WE have caller display so now do not answer but the calls keep coming!!!!

My number is listed with the telephone preference service, not in any directory and they will not even listen to the answerphone message!

More fun with my caller tonight, said he was doing energy survey. Claimed to be in Regent Street but would not give me the number of the building. Would not tell me where he lived. I put it to him that he may be trying to trick me, he got very angry at this. I thought he was going to cry. I played with him for a while longer, he eventually slammed the phone down when I asked how many windows in his house; probably never seen one, so that was a bit mean (I feel bad now(not!)).

My caller tonight has been having lessons, it took him less than a minute to work out that I was pulling his chain. Never mind I'll get the next one.

Idiot called twice today to say nothing, must like silent phone calls or something. A whistle is on my shopping list;)

Got another call from these idiots today, this is the third call in two days so I asked the idiot if he was being whipped by his master enough today. Next time he calls I will tell him that I am burning £50 notes and I hope there is no air conditioning where he works.

This number called saying i won a holiday !!!!!!!!

Have had three calls in last two days from these people. Indian speaking, they ask which energy provider we are with.

I hand up but they keep calling, why can't these people be stopped?

Took the following steps this evening......was told about 5 times that i needed an STD code for this number else they couldnt do anything, i said i was on this web site & plenty of people had stated on here that the calls were coming via them & that there was no STD code & if they didnt stop mucking me about & take my details off of their system then i was going to seek advice from a Solicitor! The woman then took my home number, didnt ask for any other details, confirmed my details had been removed then put the phone down on me.....so fingers crossed these calls will stop....if they dont then i will follow the further advice of asking to speak to a manager & see what happens! It seems that im not the only one that has had abuse from these people & threats saying if i didnt give them the details they were asking for ( Telephone Provider ) Then they will ring me 15 or 50 ( Couldnt quite understand because of the accent! ) times a day! Why oh Why are they getting away with this harassment & abuse?

Option 1 is their sales line. Call them and inform them that you are receiving abusive unwanted calls from their Company and that they are to remove your details from their database immediately.



At that point they will ask you for your details. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANYTHING BUT YOUR PHONE NUMBER! They need nothing more than your number to stop these calls.

They say that it will take 30 days to remove your number from their lists and if they call in the meantime ask to speak to a manager (yeah right, that would happen).

Got the 5th call from these scam artists today, whistled down the line in a loud manor and hope they are still hearing it!

I'm glad I'm not going mad!! I keep getting calls from this number but haven't picked up. Now I know it's better not to.

On the same subject, but a different number, anyone else getting calls from 0501? yes that's it,0501. Again, it's an Indian person, the last one was called Tanya...apparently. Never heard of an Indian called Tanya but hey. It's supposed to be some kind of survey, Ive told them a dozen times to stop, but they don't. Apparently my phone service cannot stop them

Stew, what is the bet that it is the very same people! I would imagine that they use multiple numbers to harass. They should be ashamed of themselves.
