i  got called also gave my net spend card number with not a dime on it they tried to get me to pay 200 dollar fee and i called them on it  was told to call 202 657 6662 and person name mr patrick

i also just got scamed for $430 this is what happen Well I got a call from the so called Government saying I got picked to get a $7000 grant all I had to do was donate $130 to a charity in India and I would get $7000 so I thought if its going to a a person who needs it more then I do $130 isnt that much even tho I new I could not afford it soo I western union the money to India and then he said he needs to go through the bank to get the money so I waited and waited then he gave me the banks number to call and they said for me to get the money I have to give them a process fee of $400 BUT I get it back plus the $7000 even tho I have to empty my bank out plus borrow some I did and sent it to India AGAIN like a [***] stupid [***] and he said my money would be in the bank last night around 7:30pm and nothing was in there so…I lost  $530 everything I had in my bank I have nothing left and all because I fell for a [***] stupid scammed im just money hugry and thought this is it this is my break for a awile to finally buy a car and pay my bills and live life alil so for a bit but I lost that dream plus $530 its heart breaking PLUUUUUS they called me back saying my transaction didn’t go through and they had the nerve to ask me for ANOTHER $333 for it to be sent I just started screaming like r u f**king kidding me u put me through this and then ask me for more money to said said keep the f**king money im done with this [***] there names were- mark wilson,justin long <FAKE ass names

I was just called about this same scam! However, when he offered me $7000 I played his game to see how far he would go and if he would get mad. He first told me I had to verify my name and address, so I proceed to let him give it and see what he had. She said the correct info. Then he gave me the options of savings/checking account transfer, cash or credit card transfer. When I said cash, he kept saying he needed my birthday to verify I was who I said I was. When I said, you should have all that if you are calling from the government. When I asked what branch of the government he was calling from he kept saying US government. Then I said, I know it's US cause I live in the states, you wouldn't call from another country government. I said what branch? Is it NASA, DOE, Social Security, National Health Administration, he said demographics! I was like what is demographics? I said, there is no branch called demographics! He kept saying if you dont want the money, then dont take it.

I said SIR what is your name he says Stanley. I said, well Stanley, give me your boss name and number and I will call him and tell him what a good job you are doing trying to scam me. He proceeds that it isn't a scam and it's from the real government! I said to him, if I called him out of the blue and asked him for his name and street address, would he give it to me. He hesitated as if it was a trick question but was proceeding to NO. Then he finally says no. So I say, if you wouldn't do it, why should I. He kept saying cause I was chosen. He kept saying, you don't have to give me anything, just your birthday and I will give you a number to call. I will also give my ID number. I told him I knew about this  scame from this website and hung up on him!

i just got a call from an unknown number..  like a dumba** i answered it!   it was linda say i have been picked from the us goverment for a 7000 grant... i have been chosen because well all the same reasons everyone eles said they had... good citizen etc...  she asked to verify my address and name and birthday...    i said your are just gonna give me 7000 dollers no questions asked...  yes... i said is this a scam she started to get mad at me lol  i said look lady we live in america and people scam people everyday..  oh yes i understand..  i picked the cash option. and was given a code tl119 and to call her supervisor at 202-640-5471..  i havent called the number back yet but about half tempted to just the f*ck with them!!  lol   right after i hung up the phone with this linda i was on google looking it up  ...  i knew it was a scam!   should i call and mess with them back...  hmmm

Got a call a few minutes ago and I totally went for it >.> Where I am living the phone service sucks and I could not get to the computer to look this up b4 the call ended :P anyways same story, 7k, heavy accented man, code DQ077, bogus number that no one answered, 202 621 0402 called himself Darus Cole and said the number that I got would direct me to a Steven Moor. lies lies lies.

I cant believe i fell for it tooo!!! I tried looking up the numbers when i got the phone call but nothing was showing up so  i feel for it!!!! I cant believe it im so stupid!!

I just got the same call from some lady named Ashley.... she then gave me the number to some guy named John Romero but the number that she gave was 202-684-6979. This is a scam. when I ask the guy if they can send me a check he said no. that the only way was a tranfer????? what a [***] nut so the us gov cant send checks even though they do every year for taxes. what a dick. Dont fall for it.

The same happened to me.... I girl said me that I need deposit $150 dollars like a verification to Western Union by the name Jessica, and I say that if this is from the government I can go to the place and take it so she said that not was necessary then I said to her that all this is a scam and I don't wanna loose my time she said to me the same don't makes me loose my time JAJAJA she is soo stupid, guys don't continue with this fool game

This is still going on .........being in previous  law enforcement i knew it was fake so i asked questions....then called the number they asked same dude and girl...he said when i said u are the same guy.........he said f u several time i hung he called me back and cussed me like a dog everytime about 7 calls still on my phone......202 683 9919

Just recently received this exact same offer, but the guy went by Daniel Christian and the number was 2026576272. they said that it was a federal reserve bank to bank transfer and would cost 329 dollars for wire transfer fees. I told him i didn't have that much money and the GM started freaking out on me and then hung up. the call was made to me 15 Dec 2011

I recieved a same call offering to put $7,000 in the acount but its diffrent. It was an unknown caller and she wanted the same information, then she told me to call this woman named Jasmin Mcpherson at 202-470-5006 and give her the confirmation code. When i called i had to call several times(forgot to add the 1 at the beginning of the number, so really its1-202-470-5006) and she told me the office was closed and told me to call tommorow..... it was about 5:30 when I called.So i went to look up who she was and her number. I traced her number at findacaller.com ( i believe it still works even though i was the caller because i tested it out) and so the # was from washington. i also looked up the phone #'s that most of yall have been posting and it looks like all of the calls came from washington.i believe it could be the same people just changing their names and phone numbers. but i still have to call tommorow

I got a call from a man and he told me that I was eligle to receive a grant for $30,000 and I did not have to pay back the money then he gave me an activation code DY357 and told me to call Jasmine  at 302-470-5006 and ask for Jasmine Mccpherson and verify my info when I called her ahe said that I had to go to western union and pay 210.00 brfore they transfered the money into my account thank god I gave them a prepaid visa acct number that has no money in it other wise they would of wiped out my bank account

this is definitely scam they hung up on me when I let them know that I knew it was a scam. the number that called me was 202-470-5006. I asked if you are the government why are you calling unknown and why am I so lucky as to be choosen to be given money.

I just got the same call from the "US Goverment" at 928-783-8284.  Caller id showed the name Barbara Gardner.  I looked up the number and it is from AZ....hmmm. She told me I had been selected to receive $7,000!  Lucky me!  She asked how I wanted the money and I was given the options of direct deposit, credit card or cash!  I asked for a check.  She told me that was not an option so I said I would take the cash.  I was given the money approval number of ##3365 and told to call 206-201-2218 which is in Washington State. Knowing this was a SCAM... I called the number and gave her a different approval number and a fake name.  She asked who told me to call her. I told her the someone from the "US Government". I just kept messing with her until she told me she couldn't find my file and she would call me back later.

I have been called about the same Scam just a few min ago...that i was going to receive a 7000 dollar from the Government and i gave them my Bank Account # and everything but nothing was on it...i was told to call AP307 202 657 6272 dANIEL Christian

I recieved a call from a non-american speaking women telling me i was chosen to receive a 7,000.00 grant from the goverment because i paid my bills on time.  She gave me a couple of numbers to write down and a fake name to call back.  When I called back and asked for some accredited information so I new it wasnt a scam, she got very nasty saying if I didnt want the money other people would be happy to take it and she hung up on me. I then called the police if its to good to be true i guess it is.

I got the same same call yesterday and a confirmation # An303 but I would not give them my bank card number or account number. It seemed suspicious when they asked for the security number off of the back of my card. I told her I was not purchasing anything.g so she didn't need it..... I call the other number and this lady Christy Morgan said I needed to pay a once in a lifetime fee of $159. I told her that was some bull and hung up in her face! People be careful!!!!!!

they just called me saying a grant of 7000 a man with a accent and said we may not use the money on illegeal activity and hav recived it because we have no criminial background record. so i was a sec away of doing it until i couldnt find my accont num he would not giv me a num to call him back he said his name was tony a asked him how do i know its not a scam and he said he works for the governmen t and named a office and building and said i could come to recive it. but i told him to call me at 6 and he said his name was tony and called from this number 59150070969

I have been receiving phonecalls from this number too. So I reversed calls and came out in NY.

I live in the Netherlands !!!!  Since your stories go back till the year 2010 , I believe these ppl haven' t been caught yet, still going their " scam" way and no- one has done anything to catch them? They went international, they must do good business ripping ppl off. By the way , how did they get MY number?
