Got the call from 907-957-0009. Said his name was Roy Keibler. When I told him I wanted it on a MasterCard he told me to call Franky Campbell. Franky wanted me to call back in 25 minutes. Total scam. The number was 202-657-5176. It is weird because they have all your info.

Just got a call from someone offering me 7000.00 in grant money. I listened to the speal because I was curious how far they would go and what scared me is that someone who isn't paying attention could be encouraged to give information to assist these folks.  They had my name and address, I will give them that as you can find that on the web unfortunately easily enough.

I asked the person where she was physically located and she indicated Washington DC her accent made me question that.  She at first avoided answering this question, then pretended like she did not understand, and then said Washington DC.

I asked for a web site where I could further investigate this GREAT deal, and she hung up on me.  Clearly this is a scam.  I have reported this to the FTC.

The number they called me from was 206 377 9857, same thing told me about the $7000 gave me a confirmation number and told me to call 202 738 1256. the lady on the call sounded like she was from india.I asked her what agency she worked for and she wouldn't answer.

Same story! Lady with a thick accent calls and says I'm one of 1,700 people in my city that has been selected to receive a $7,000 grant (that I do not have to pay back) because I pay my taxes and don't have a criminal record. She gave me a confirmation number (SZ863) and a number to call her manager to receive my money. She asked if I wanted it check, direct deposit, or on my credit card. That the funds could be in my bank in just hours. I instantly knew it was a scam and googled it which lead me to this blog! No need in even calling the 202 number she gave me now that I know I have to pay money!

I just got call from David benzen that I got 7000$ grant and he gave me this phone 2027384464 and women spoke vry fast and told me that i habe to need deosit in 3000$ to have 7000$ and 3000$ will be reimbursed to me together with grant!FAKE!!!

I got a call from some guy. He first asked for my street address, i gave him my old address and called the number supplied. it was just an answering machine.  347-732-0745 was the manager i was to call back to. the caller id says 907-632-3887 - Cell Phone AK

Today on Feb.20,2013 I just got a call and say I have been selected for 7,000 dollars, but the number is 20269797 and I had to go to the nearest western union and deposit $289. I know its a scam, because they say I don't have to pay the money back.

i got calls the last couple days sayin that i have been awarded $7000 the call back number was 206-855-3328 and grant comformation number was AFG-02.  they wanted me to send western uninon $289.

hello someoe just called me yesterday and i thought it was real is there any one who can give me advice because  i sent them money and now i have no contact with anyone i will never do this again

I also received the same call from Lisa Smith offering me $7000 in grant money. Because I had recently also completed online information about government grants for small businesses I thought this was what it was all about. They wanted $200 up front though and this was when I became suspicious. The 'senior accountant' I spoke to goes by the name of Claxton. She quickly hung up when I questioned her. These people have to be stopped! They are preying on vulnerable people who are desperate for that kind of information.

Different phone # same story!!

I got this same call this morning with the same phone number.  Same very thick accent and talked very fast kept asking him to repeat himself.  He said that his name was Rex Walker - yeah right did not sound like a cowboy to me!  I asked for his phone number - he said (202) 559-7678.  He kept repeateing himself asking me to make a choice - so I asked to talk to his manager.  I'm sure it was the same one you talked too very rude - also hard to understand - did not sound very educated.  Just repeated himself that he wanted me to make a choice.  I then said so let me get this straight you say there is some random program that the government just gives me $7000 because I pay my bills on time?  He says yes and starts to get huffy - I say but you need my Bank account number or my credit card - he says it is your choice.  I say well I think you are trying to steal my identity - he gets really angry and says that this call is being recorded - so of course it is not a scam - I said well then why don't you just send me a check in the mail.  He is yelling at me now telling me how stupid I am and that I can go (I hate to even type this word but it's what he said) [***] myself and just kept yelling it at me.  I said what did you just say?  He repeated it - and I Said Wow you are really professional for a Government Program Manager and he hung up on me.

Its crazy that everything you guys are saying is the exact same thing I was hearing. How did you get my number? Im' not in school so what grant is this? How am I giong to get this money? All questions they answered with something about the govnt. $9000 in grant money and asking for my card info without even verifying who I was. Thank goodness I'm smart enough not to fall for things like this...

I just recived tuday in the morning a call #1000 000 0000 and they were caling and calling thse numbe I just answer they told me thate the goverment was giving me 7000 grand I was like ok she said call thise number202 621 0436 and gave me a indification so I just called the girl said to give her my acout I said know   she told me they could wired at monygram and went il get there to called her again so she could give me information but I had to pay 280 and was refundable after 15 minutes they were going to deposit 7000+280 I told her send the check she said no we cant I told her to I cant give you 280 thise is a scam no is not so just hang up the phone

I will be the newest to add to this. First of akl I'm glad peopke posted on this. I got the call like everyone else. Same exact situation except they asked for $310.00. When os this ever going to end? How is this company or whatever it is stay alive. Can someone finally put this to an end?? My managers name on this transaction is Franky Campbell. I just got a phone call similar to everyone's, the man sounded like he had a heavy indian accent and called from (202) 506-5346 by a guy who I could barely understand and didn't get his name and said for mew to call (239) 244-3962 and give his "Higher Up" who went by the name of "Anthony Holmes" my grant I.D and that I was being given $9,000 for having good credit, no bankruptcy filed and no criminal record. He told me I had to go to Western Union and give a $310 verification deposit, but once I got the $9,000 I would get the $310 back. I'm sitting here thinking, who the hell tries pulling this stunt off still? I had reverse looked up the 239 number and it stated it had never been associated with scams..I went along with it, but gave them no information, I just nodded along, said "uh huh, okay, sure."

I received a call from "United States Southern Grants Department" to give me a grant of $9000 of free money, never to be returned...  .... THIS IS FRAUD, please DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY BANK information!!
