I just got a call today same thing thick accent and said his name was William Jones yea ok the number was 202 657 6899 said I had to buy green dot money pak and then they would deposit the grant no thanks buddy I have a job I will just make due with my own money at least is ligit.

I received a call saying same thing, gave a conf. Number and had to call supervisor. Name Sarena, the numer is different. Its 2027384294 so watch out for that number. The first number that called me was a 333377 I forgot the last four numbers, but they wanted me to purchase a green dot card and put 300 dollars on it before they would send the 7000 . I didn't do it.

Just got a call with a CA number telling me I was awarded $7500 but I had to call 202-241-1610 with a confirmation number 132372, but before I got the money I had to pay PA state tax of $190 and get this - I can pay the state tax at a CVS.  Didn't know they collected state taxes.  When I go to CVS I am to call Kevin Jones and he will guide me through the process.  At that time I am to give him my bank information.  When I asked him to send me the forms he told me he had no forms to mail now but I will receive a 22 page documentation after I pay the $190.  He too had a very thick accent - had to ask him several times to repeat himself.  Filed a claim with FTC.  Now we wait and see.

Sorry and disappointed in myself for letting them take me for 1212 dollars in three different installment every payments one step closer to the grant money after that he had the nerve to ask for one final payments of 1400 dollars for security code. I thank I know with. I've finally been beat. But will not stop until I redeem myself and justice will be done that's a fact. So stay on point and more info will come.

 

I got a similar call. They said that I have been approved a Federal Government Grant of $9000. I was given a code and a number to dial, 202-241-1610. The caller called me from 1-800-818-9987.

The caller had thick accent and occasionally he would say"……now listen carefully….."….. ha ha ha…. joke apart…..

Why someone can not trace them so easily with these US numbers so that the Police can reach them faster than Western Union?

I received a call from the government  ( ha  ha )  They told me I will get 9000.00 from the government if I just PAY 150.00 as a deposit.

The same exact message was repeated to me today. Except the number came up as a 203 number was not the full 10 digit number. I called a similiar 202 number but it was 202-621-0945. A woman with a thick Spanish accent told me was going to receive $9,000. I immediately called the number after hanging up. No answer, no voice mail. Call back a few minutes later a man named Gabriel Gomez (so says he was the GM) Very similar story. I will report to the authorities too. He wanted to be on the phone when I go to Western Union. I'm pretty sketched out about it. I was very stern and very careful of giving out any information.  Please be careful out there

I got a call from a kristen she gave me an I.D. Kr154 told I was ramdomly choosen for a $7,000 government grant to call Johnny Snow at 215-392-2168 to confirm my grant they want me to send $330 deposit to buy a GREEN DOT card from walmart and upload the $330 on it call them back I have been doing alot of reseach on this . I looked up the number it came back as MCI WorldCom Communications PA. I called them back called them a scam the man (Johnny Snow ) said that its not a scam ect.

I got the same situation almost verbatim accept the woman with the thick accent new name is Stacy and she's back at it again! Their new number is 202-738-4307. Being that I have a criminal history and just getting out of prison not even three weeks. This seemed like a scam I'm almost sure the government hires more than just one Asian sounding ladie to deal with federal grants but my humanly greed almost made me go into the rent money because I am really struggling

I have received a number of calls one that calls and says that the government has selected me for a 5000$ grant. The number was anonymous. I told him that I was not willing to give my banking info, so he said I can get it through western union. He gave me a # 202-697-9980 to call to revive my transaction #. I call guy sounded the same asked me to go to a cab store to do a 250$ application then I can receive my $ today @ western union. I said couldn't do it didn't have that kind of money. Sounded totally bogus. But I almost did fall for it. Especially since I am trying to get loans for school and got denied because I don't make enough. So they almost had me but I thought I should look it up first. Knew it had to be a scam.

I have been receiving calls all day about this $7000 grant that I can get without having to pay back. I was falling for it and I have been caught in a middle of a scam before was so embarrassing. So I looked up about this $7000 grant and found this site. So many bad things. I mentioned it to him and of course he has a different story and apologizing for how people gets caught in scams. They didn't ask for no money from me but gave me a verification number to take to like a western union place and have them verify the money for me. Then he told me to hold on he was receiving an "important" call about someone calling him back letting them know they have verified everything. Thought it was rude to just put me on hold like that and if they are a for real business helping people there would have been someone else to take those calls right? Is this real or fake though? The numbers this came from was 202-000-1111 this number called to let me know I was chosen for the $7000 then this number they gave me to call a "Randy Miller" 202-738-1482 he never answered my call then he called back with a number 202-243-0000

Same here, I have 5 little ones and going to school so it is hard for me to work full time. Living pay check to pay check and this sounded really good. I have been fallen for a scam before and was embarrassing so I wanted to look into this and found this site. So sad people would do this especially to those who really does need the help.

Same thing just happened to me, to then I had no money and I'd call back later

I received a call from 724567890 not a FULL 10 digit phone number so can't call back.  Lady with heavy accent also said to call the BUSY man Bobby Watson at 305-424-9926 and give my code 2letters2numbers and collect my $7000 grant from US Govt. I only answered the unknown call since they called (4) times in 2 hours and I got annoyed. They knew my name and address & did not ask me for any information. Same "no criminal record and tax paying citizen" It's CRAZY!

I received this phone call today first from unknown number told me grant for me 7000 and to write case number and call second phone number.  

Just received call from this number--think it was a man--with heave foreign accent telling me I had received a $9,000 Federal Grant. I knew it was a scam and hung up on him.

Mine is the same way it happend today, 7000 grant I do not have to repay... she "tina"said if i would just tell her how I wanted it...cash, check, or (prepaid cards?) and she gave me this number to call 202-738-1260 (also out of DC///I looked it up...online)then she gave me a code 0940 and that was it....only when I tried to call the account manager ...Lorena Martinez.. the line was busy, and has been all morning....then the same "Tina" calls back and says "are you going to call? my manager, :Lorena Martinez. and I told her the line was busy all morning....so what I think theyre doing is some kind of intercepting with a phone that is some kind of something that is a misdirection...of a sort....IT really has nothing to do with the gov. or anykind of money, ONe time the police told me there was some kind of computer or phone that does interceping...I have no Idea...Yeah, so the phone number she gave me was busy but it was also out of dc. Maybe its legit...I Dont know...but I DO doubt it.....bye

I just got the exact same thing from this number 206-559-7936 and my confirmation number is JV116. How stupid do they think Americans are? This one is not that stupid.
