Always consider these calls a Scam!!!!
I actually gave my bank routing and account number because i wanted to believe in such luck. Unfortunately not! So i gave my bank info for the option of direct deposit into my bank account. I ask her/him to send the 7,000 to my account in the next 15 minutes. Yes they said!!! He then needed me  to go to 711 etc to put the 230 in the card for fees and after i will receive the 7,000 and will pay back the fee amount also.. I knew there was more to it. I suggested them taking the fee out the 7,000. No of course. I honestly didn't think this was real and seriously although these people did have a accent i tried not to judge. Its clear they have my information and just want to further their list of info so they can past it on to the next group of scammers.  They know my address, my number my bank info and the more they know the better they can build up a file to steal your identity!!! Plus $$$$$$ if they CAN!!!!!!!

They called me from a 543 number I called back and it couldn't receive incoming numbers, called the number they told me to call to speak to the manager 4252428496 to claim my "$8500" grant and no one answer and guess what answered the answer machine that said this is  "MagicJack" customer to leave a message and seconds after hanging up someone called me asking for $250 to put on a greendot card and not to worry it will be returned with the $8500 so I will be picking up at western union $8750, and she will be on the line with me all the way through when I get to the western union!!! Don't know if it true or not I chose to leave it alone but would have love to have $250 just to burn to find out!!!! Lol I will never know if it was true... If you have it like that and you go all the way through with them let me know!!! Lol

Just got a call from a guy thick accent said his name was Vinny Wilson. Call from a blocked number said to call 202-241-0029 to get the 7000 grant. Gave me a confirmation code. I googled it right away and found this. Its scary that he knows my number and an old address. What else does he know? And how did he find this information out. I have been looking for jobs online and have had to register and make accounts for a bunch of different job sites. Its garbage that this stuff is legal and that they can obtain so much information. Especially when all im trying to do is find a job! How can this scam be stopped!!!!!!!!!

Same as the above. Woman with thick East Indian accent called to let me know I qualify for a government grant. I told her she was nothing but a low life bottom dwelling scammer. She said "Oh no sir, this is real." "You have been selected to receive a government grant." I then blew a whistle in the phone, I keep one handy with all the scam calls we get these days. She screamed and hung up. So, this begs the question... "How can the government track our phone calls and fail to track and shut down the scammers who are representing themselves as the federal government?" As we have no debt, we know the call wasn't from a debt collector. It was from a scammer. Don't fall for any of these scams. Keep a whistle or air horn handy and use them! You will feel better getting back at these human parasites.
