I was a little scaptical about signing her up because it had not been to long since we went to something just like this in Hartford the only thing different about these people they were up front about how much money they wanted to get your child started in actoring, modeling ect... I have not made a decision to go but looking at all of your comments I have made my mind up. My daugher maybe dissappointed but that life full of dissappointments. We live and we learn Thank you again thank goodness for internet. I had this gut feeling always follow your gut.

Interesting that when you try to call this number back, as instructed, you get an odd recording about medical emergencies.  What legit company uses a fake business to hide behind?

    a sucker or not!?
I apologize for anyone who did not have such luck with interface, I had a totally diff experience, I came to my appt. to meet with the director Lisa she was really blunt and honest with me she cut the oh your so beautiful [***] and let me know what the deal was with the company, I ended up paying because Im interested in this kind of business and I am aware that this is a Marketing company and not an agency. according to Lisa interface in other words is suppose to advertise you and the reason they do a photoshoot is because they need to make your composite cards, Ive been to other agencies before, like modeling management productions and they had asked me for composite cards and they turned me down because I did not have any at the time. I mean yhea interface is pricy but you can use their composite cards and pics to make your own porfolio and go to your own auditions. I dunno maybe I am just a sucker but I really think those of you who are interested for yourself or other people should give them a try I mean its not like the director will put a gun to your face and tell you to pay up, its not like that. will just see what interface has in store for me.

Should I not persue my modeling career with this company?  I have already met with one of the professionals at interface, and i am confident that based on my previous experience I am exactly what this company needs. Sorry if everyone isn't what they're looking for...

Interface doesnt claim to be an agency. they are a marketing company.. it works by having you sign up for a cost free evalutation. You meet with the marketing directors and they base their prices on you and your childs needs. Interface "markets" your child to the industry.. which are, angecies, casting dircetiors, managers, and music directors.. they use their own photographers and what not. (they have to make a profit) and when an agency such as, law and order need a 13 yr old boy in a specific description of skin, hair and eye color etc. they call up interface and ask for all the composit cards and reels they have and then law and order (or who ever) will contact the family privatly. also thier success rate is of 70% of kids are REQUESTED. its not really a scam, yes its expensive but there are real success stories. and the company does call you the next day, they only have your number and descripton because you have filled out thier application card, which lists weight hight age name and a breif physical desciption.. Interface is only in new england right now, they opend a few years ago and have over 100k people come to the company. they plan on expanding all over the US in the next couple years

also if you think its a scam because your ugly.. your worng. they're not looking for super beautiful people, they looking for clean happy and average looking people. also the recutiters have quotas they have to make by signing a certian number of people up... so maybe your just a last resort so they dont get fired. who knows.

SCAM..... they call you up.... say that your child filled out an application in the mall... tell you the their director is really eager to meet with your child..... tell you that the evaluation is free..... you go in.... see some testimonials.... composite cards  ..... and then they ask you for a payment right then and there... I went on the bbb.org website.... come to find out..... they have a sister company in Jersey under a different name but with the same owner.... so i called back acting as if i wanted to set up an appt, and asked about the jersey office and the representative said that they were not affiliated... then i told her that roman, the owner of the norwalk location also owns the one in jersey... she hung up on me.... i did some research on my own.... spoke with a past employee and was told that they are opening up another company in florida most likely a diff name.... if you have any family in the area.. give them a heads up!!!!!

I can almost garuntee that half the people who claim that they had a positive experience with the company are actual employees trying to derail all the negativity that the company is facing. The rest are just gullible... if u want to find out for yourself, then make an appt and see what happens... but dont let them fast talk you.... ask the rep lots of questions, because they do read from a script and they hire an fire people like evry other day, so half of them dont even know what their talking about.... these reps never attend a meeting so they dont know what goes on in the inside besides what they are told from the supervisors.... some may get work, but a lot don't.... If u want to get noticed with this company, then have plans on spending big money..and i do mean big... oh yeah, and jh is def. a supervisor for the call center at interface talent

I was sucked into interface with my 16 year old son .... what a fool I was.  All these letters I have read is what I went through - and now so sorry I trusted in them. Have put a complaint in with BBB, and I think I will now call the tv station that 'looks into' complaints -  they will make a fuss and be put them on tv - and I will tell them I am doing so tomorrow - see if they care about having their name and reputation splashed on the news !  I am trying to get my money back, which Interface told me they could not do. Well, I am going to try everything I can to do so.

Interface Talent Network IS NOT A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not one complaint about this company is that they have marketed your child and you did not have a great experience!!!! Anyone that is making complaints and false accusations about the company needs to actually experience the service before they open their mouths. All's you have to do is purchase your marketing tools and give it some time and then you would understand YOU HAVE NO CLUE WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT. In the entertainment industry you could be paid $50- thousands just for one booking it might be per hour per print per networking commercial air time seasonally there is no range. Answering that question is completely impossible. THE COMPANY IS AMAZING because it makes life easier for people that have a dream for their children and the children who have a dream to have an experience of a life time with out doing any work. They work with many casting directors agencies and model managements. Anyone scouted by them should just be honored!!!!! <3

This company is a complete scam, down from the director's assistants(telemarketer) to the directors themselves also known simply as sales rep..their main targets are nieve single mothers and people who dont speak english...you are told to come down for an interview only to be told you need a photoshoot ranging from $500 to $5500..then you buy the copyright..because ofcourse  your photos belong to the company till you purchase them which are about $50 then last but not least "marketing" which will run you about $3,000 plus whatever other B.S they're able to come up with roughly after it all it will run you a few thousand..if you dont believe me set up an interview they accept anyone with a credit card, see for yourself just DONT SIGN ANYTHING READ THE FINE PRINT OR YOU WILL BE SORRY...

    photoshoot.....$5,500
    copyright to photos...$50
    marketing...$3000+
    Telling interface to F*ck off!....PRICELESS

    GOT SCAMMED
yeah they almost got me. i am an aspiring actress, i like an idiot set up an interview to meet with the "director" when i got there i met some short, skinny, blond haired girl with rabbit teeth claiming to be an industry professional..she took me to little office in the back and proceeded to show me pictures of there success stories. It looked like it was cut and glued then simply photocopied..i then had my guard up..after she was done showing me her art project..she told me in order to hold a spot for me i would have to make a $500 diposit. i didn't have the money and she said she will take whatever i'm willing to give her and that they do accept credit cards..after a couple minutes of trying to convince me she realized i was'nt giving her anything she became very rude and basically told me i could leave. i asked for her name. She ignored me and walked away. i left and that was the end of that. i was upset for wasting my time..to all the readers..be careful dont fall for they're horrible high presure sales tactics

It seems this has become the interface scam story board.  its the first hit i got back from google when searching interface norwalk scam.  I basically got back from our appt today and what a crock.  The story is just like everyone elses.  My wife and daughter were stopped in the mall and then next thing I know I need to go down with my wife to the agency for a screening or whatever.  Very important that we're both there. so important they had to call twice to make sure we were coming and to remind us to bring 2 forms of id each, which could be a drivers license, passport, or credit card.  Credit Card?? since when is that a form of id.

so after showing up on time and waiting almost an hour amongst less than stellar looking children I began to become suspicious.  Overhearing I got the sense that everyone there was scouted out and coming in for the first time. (is this is your first time here is the first question they ask when you get to the counter)  could there be such a demand for mediocre looking kids?

When we were finally greeted by the over friendly director I was short on patience and quite hungry and irritable so I was hoping to keep the small talk and bs'ing to a minimum and get the point.  The director spent most of her time speaking directly to my daughter as she led her away from us into the room.  She didnt even noticed we hadnt had time to collect our belongings in order to follow.  The whole way shes telling her shes going to be in movies and on tv and getting her all excited.  In hindsight I believe this is their tactic -- to get the children to help pressure the parents into this farce.

Now I believe my daughter is absolutely gorgeous but I was still surprised that it seemed like a given that she was going to get work with print shots and such in less than 1 minute of talking.  Ok I thought, so lets move on, next steps?  Ok, then we are shown these cards and explained how shots are needed to be taken of different poses with Interface's name and address along the bottom and given more lengthy explanations I didnt ask for as to why we needed it.  Then immediately I realized... I asked whos expected to pick up the cost for this?  She replied that we were.  I told her Im no longer interested and I do not want to pursue this.

Her demeanor changed immediately. First response was "this is how they do it everywhere".  My reply in my thoughts was who said I was going to go anywhere else? She didnt seem to get it we were only there because we were approached and none of us had any desire to be in this business prior.  I didnt NEED to put my daughter to work, but I thought it might be a good opportunity to have my daughter add to her college fund.  There was no way I was about to direct money away from her fund and towards this.

When I didnt give her a verbal reply she reminded me how my wife and I both agreed we were for this (which she asked as one of her first questions).  And I clarified I was for a situation where if she felt my daughter was someone she wanted to work then I would be ok with it,  I explained I wasnt about to dump money into this.

Then she had the nerve to say dont you want to offer your daughter an opportunity?  (My daughter is 5).  I nearly spat in her face since I found her question so insulting.  She had the nerve to say this after going through the first 10mins of talking to us about how she is enrolled in ballet, swimming, gymnastics, etc.  Instead I told her I'd prefer to spend the money on real opportunities.  How the hell is this an opportunity for a 5 yr old?  Even if it was legit the only ones who benefit would be her parents and the agency. (of course, as I said, I planned on putting anything that came out of it towards her fund)

Well after my remark about better opportunities she wrapped up quickly and the door was opened up wide.  She couldnt get us out of there quick enough, shes leading us out before we even had a chance to grab our coats from the chairs behind us. (again!! LOL)

On my way out I felt bad for the others waiting.  a lot seemed to be lesser privileged and quite a bit didnt speak english (the receptionist conveniently spoke spanish) and I knew most of them were going to be suckered.  I could see someone being in the position where they needed the money might be blind enough to layout out some in hopes to get more in return.  I also remember the faces of some otheres walking out before we went in and thinking of the different expressions its clear who got suckered and who didnt.
