- bethy| 1 replywhat do you mean? Everyone knows you have to pay for pictures to get into modeling.....
- xxxquite the opposite..
everyone knows its a scam if they try to make you pay for pictures to get into modeling... - MikeI worked for this company. it is a scam! Heidi...who posts on this site...works for the company! don't go there....they follow horrible business practices, lie and are in it just to get your money. STAY AWAY!
- NS| 1 replyThis company is a scam. I can tell you first hand. They owe me $1700. I signed my children up and then went home and did a little more research on the company. They have a rating of an F with the BBB which is the lowest rating. I canceled our contract all within their cancellation policy and have yet to see my money. They are suppose to refund my money within 30 days. It has been over 2 months. They keep saying that they are going to mail out another check. I am sure that they have never mailed out the first one. I have now filed my own claim with the BBB. To be continued... Stay away from these people!!!

- jtdthank you for all your stories. i will be sure to stay far away and spread the word
- you've been scammed| 1 replyThis company is a complete joke they have no ties with the people in the industry in which they claim they are. The company is run by drug addicts just looking to pay for their next hit . If this company was a real company they would be upfront with the costs and obligations, instead of having random people drive hours to come to meet a photo salesman. Yeah marketing company..haha..to Paul Dowling your a cracked out scum bag..the devil loves you..have fun in hell with Jason Hoffman

- Jason BThis is InterFace Talent Network, and they are a scam! DO NOT waste your money, or believe any good reviews! I live near this center in South Norwalk, CT. The 'talent agents' are the biggest bunch of lying con artists out there! They'll take your money, and you'll never hear from them again...
- unhappy lady| 1 replyMy husband and I did decide to have these "pictures" taken, knowing that after we signed the contract we had 3 days to change our minds and money refunded. Well, this isn't the case. We have now been waiting 47 days so far for our money to be refunded to our credit card and am getting nowhere with the "Customer Care" department. They talk to me like I am an idiot and try to get me to wait just another day for the check, assuring me it was mailed out. I'm about to go down to the Westfield shopping center kiosk where they sucker people to make an appointment and let everyone know that they are phony and don't have a cancellation policy at all. What kind of company would keep peoples' money without giving any service to them at all? I'm gonna make a visit on a weekend to their office if I don't get my money THIS WEEK!

- jessicayeah this lady named jennifer rodrigues called me yesterday about my 4 year old daughter. she said her scouts from the mall had recommened her from seeing her the day before. the thing is my daughter hadnt been to the mall in over a month and everytime those scouts try to stop us we ignore them. then she went on to tell me my daughter was at the mall the day before with my boyfriend and insisted my daughters name was gianna. now my daughters name is anaelecea and she was at preschool the day before not with my boyfriend. even stranger she knew my daughters age, hair color, eye color, my house number, and my boyfriends house number. then i hung up on her and then she called my boyfriend and asked to speak to me, he asked her how she had gotten his number and she lied to him also and told him i gave it to her. i did some research this company is like all the 1000s of other marketing companys out there. they will take on ANYONE, then they tell you to buy either pictures or classes, or charge hundreds to keep you on a website. hardley ever do places looking for talent even look to these webites/marketing companies they call up reputable modeling/talent agencies. A reputable talent/modeling agency DOES NOT take money upfront they take a percentage of what you earn.. FYI if u get calls from 3915860 and not so nice to them theyll start calling fron 2034347404

- Jesse| 1 replyI had an appointment for my son and my husband and I went. There were beautiful model-looking people working there and having pictures done and the woman we met with was professional. Same thing, they wanted money for photos and comp cards. But any one in modeling, or aspiring to model, NEEDS photos/comp cards! Understanding that basic requirement of modeling, and that we'd spend the money anyhow, we did put a deposit down. Photos are expensive no matter where you go! You can't just walk into Sears or Walmart and say "hey, I need a head shot, and by the way, can you take a bunch of different photos with different outfits so I can make a portfolio?" They would think we were insane!
I understand that people can view this as a bad experience, but at the same time I understand it from a business stand-point. They do not want people to waste their time, simple as that. I sure hope this doesn't turn out to be a scam, but only time will tell. People talk more about a bad experience than a good one. But I do appreciate everyone's post.- Caller: 203-391-5870

- KTI only had to read the first page of comments to know that my husband and I are in serious threat of getting screwed by these people. We went down to the Norwalk office with our 2yr old son AND our 2mth old daughter. Not only did the woman want to sign our son, but she also wanted our daughter. After seeing the pricelist for EACH kid, I could understand why she would want both. We made a down payment of $100 toward our photo session for our son. This was after my husband bargained with this woman - explaining that we just didn't have the funds. Basically, we went down to Norwalk with me being the optimist, and left with me being the pessimist. Unfortunately, my husband was "sold" on the whole thing. Now, I feel like it's in our best interest to simply back out of this whole thing. I've accepted the $100 loss (that could've been spent on diapers and formula), but I'm concerned that we will be obligated to pay the remainder of the fees that my husband signed and agreed to pay. I left Interface with a really bad taste in my mouth. And unfortunately, the taste is getting stronger. If you are a parent who is looking to do this, beware. We all want to believe that everyone thinks our kids are beautiful. Take it from me . . . you're kids are beautiful. You shouldn't have to throw away $550 - $2000 to know that. I plan on send our "certified letter" to the company today to cancel this whole thing. By the way, once you've paid and signed you have exactly 3 days to cancel and request a refund or you won't get your money back, and you could also be obligated to pay any remaining fees. I hope that this is the last time I ever have to deal with these people.
- TaylorIn regards to the comment above me, do everything you can to cancel. like i said before i worked for the company and i have recently quit the job. When I had originally started working there I didn't have any suspicions of it being a scam. It paid well, until I realized they weren’t paying me correctly. They scam even their employees. On our pay stubs it would not show our pay rate or hours. Since when is that legal? Last time I checked you’re supposed to know your pay rate and how many hours you worked for the week. Ultimately I realized they were most likely doing that because they were not paying us what they said they were paying us hence why my pay checks were always short. I then caught on to my district manager lying numerous times to people walking by in the mall. I would notice that she would always say the same thing to people walking by “ oh your daughter is so cute she looks just like the gap baby we signed up a year ago, I actually saw the family 2 weeks ago and their doing great and their very successful.” Funny thing is she would say that week after week. Hmm.. Was she really seeing the “gap baby” that many times? I came to believe the gap baby success story was fake. And then I became disgusted that I had been getting people to sign up by telling them that story, and that’s when I quit. I don’t know how anyone from that company can live with themselves. And again I hope no one signs up or goes through with it.

- kathieThanks for this info. My 15 year old daughter spoke to "Stacey" (I think this might be a name for all the "recruiters".). Stacey asked her if she really wants to model. What 15 year old doesn't. I called back and asked about fees, and she was very vague about it, telling me that we pay what we want. She knew I didn't understand and tried to explain. "You pay as much as you want to pay". When I told her I had to speak to my husband, she said I needed to let her know by 7pm tonight. I can do without the deadlines. And now reading these comments, I know it's not the right thing for us.

- TaylorOh and another thing, haha. We had this picture of this baby next to J-Lo's new fragrance, and my District manager would tell everyone walking by that we signed up that baby to J-lo's new fragrance because the baby's eyes matched the bottle lol.. one the baby's eyes were green and the perfume bottle was blue, two, why the hell would J-lo want a baby to represent her perfume.. didn't know babies used perfume.. hmmmmmmmmmmmmm... fake!

- No name please^ Same with me! A lady came up to me and my mom saying... "Oh, how old is your daughter? Oh, she would be perfect for modeling and acting!" Then my mom said no, so she said " She is beautiful. It will only take a second, just fill out this paper and you will get a call in the next 2-3 days!" Whatever you do DON'T fall for this! As everyone above said, ITS A SCAM! You'd be better just dropping $100 on a busy street and hope you get your money back! The pictures are $500- $2000! And on top of that, theres even more money getting dropped later. In this point in time with the environment, there are much better things to do with you money. For all of you that spent hundreds of dollars on this scam, I hope you get all your money back. I hope you all who read this don't fall for that scam.

- LynnEveryone who says this is a scam is absolutely CORRECT! This place stopped me in the mall, and sucked me into filling out a card to get called for a "free consult". I got the phone call and set up an appointment, then had second thoughts. The girl had made it a point to have me come alone since I'm over 21, without any parents, etc. Then she asked if I had a 2nd form of ID to bring, such as a "bank card". I asked if it would cost money (because I know NO LEGIT place will EVER make you pay ANYTHING). She blew off the question and was totally focused on dragging me to that interview, which I scheduled for the next day. Thank goodness I did research-- After reading endless posts about how all these people being scammed, I immediately called back and canceled my appointment, and told them I did NOT want a call back to reschedule. Well they started calling me back relentlessly for about 5-10 minutes. I ignored the calls, then another mysterious number started calling me, which I also ignored (It was probably them from another line). That goes far beyond proof that they are just predators trying to suck in as many people as they can so they can tell you how beautiful you are and all that garbage, then they'll ask you to spend tons of money on photos that probably will never be seen by anyone worthwhile. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. I'm fortunate enough to have read these warning posts before I wasted my time and money, and I feel obligated to warn as many people as possible, so listen to us and if you get stopped by interface- DON'T even talk to them--KEEP GOING!

- a gullible momI let 2 of my grown sons bring my 4-year-old to the Maritime Museum in Norwalk yesterday. The older one came back and said some lady had commented on how cute "his" son was, and that he'd given her our info. My little boy was all excited about a lady who'd given him a lollipop.
I admit, I was really flattered, especially since when my little boy was a baby and had no hair, people used to make cruel remarks about his "dumbo ears." (Of course, I think he's absolutely a doll, but I know how critical and cruel the rest of the world can be.)
I didn't pick up the phone when a "rep" called but when I realized who it was, I tried to call back...I couldn't connect. She also tried to call my cell but when that cut out, she didn't bother to call again, which I thought was suspicious, too. I found a number on thei business card she'd given my older son and tried that.
I live in Torrington (67 miles, one-way). My husband works odd hours (as do I sometimes) so I wasn't absolutely sure if we could make the appointment together tomorrow. I told her I'd call back.
I'm SO glad I found this site, along with the link to the BBB. Even if I'd convinced my husband to go somehow, he would have been ripping mad when he realized how much we were expected to pay up front for some pictures that would be basically useless.
What a mean thing to do to a sweet little boy with ample-sized ears. I wonder if they deliberately prey on parents who think their children would never be modeling material, to sucker them in with flattery.
I can get lovely pictures of him from J.C. Penney for under $100 and plaster them all over the house...that's enough for me.
Thank you everyone for opening my eyes!
